Chapter 6 - The First Fight (1)

"For an hour, Leo moved aimlessly around the family estate."

Secretly tailing him were David and his two followers, or so they thought.

"They weren't aware that he already knew of their existence."

Leo senses have always been sharp since he was a baby. He once sense a powerful gaze inspecting his body when he was being bullied by his twin cousins and Noah when he was two years old which he concluded as his imagination.

"Am hungry, should we deal with him on another day?" Asked one of David's followers.

"Let's wait for a while to see whether he will move to a more secluded area."

Suddenly, their prayers were answered. Leo was seen moving towards the outer ring of the forest surrounding the estate.

After leaving the estate, he walked straight toward the "Blue Mountain," One of the mountains surrounding the Crimson's estate.

"The mountain is shaped like a three-sided pyramid."

Ten minutes later, he arrived at the foot of the mountain and entered the cave below it's foot.

Pitter-patter, pitter-patter…

Footsteps suddenly sounded from outside the cave.

David and his two friends had arrived.

"What a coincidence, we meet again young master, greeted David without an ounce of respect on his face."

He suddenly unleashed his aura at the "Bright Red" mage warrior on Leo.

His two followers also follow suit and locked on Leo with their auras. The aura given off by them was not that strong, they are both light Red Core mages.

Leo started vomiting blood as the pressure was too much for his body to bear or so they thought. If this was a movie, Leo would definitely win an Oscar away for his performance as he showed no signs of bad acting.

David was surprised as he remembered his aura not being this effective in the library.

"It may be as a result of the formations in the library, he thought before dispelling his aura."

Leo fell down on his knees with a heavy breath. He took out a silver flask from his robe and drank part of the milky liquid in it. As Leo was drinking from the flask, a special kind of fragrance was being emitted from the liquid into his surrounding.

As David breathe in the fragrance, he fell the mana circulation in his body becoming more active.

"Is that the rumored Holy water that only a light mage Demigod can produce?"

"Leo nodded his head in response with a pale face."

On hearing his answer, David and his two followers became very excited.

Even his father total life savings can't buy the amount in the flask Leo was holding.

"Holy water is a special kind of mana potion that can only be brewed by a light mage Demigod. On the continent, people that have the light element affinity are so uncommon. Rarer than this are the mages and mage warriors that reached the Demigod core stage with this element affinity, so this made the potion extremely rare."

"The potion possessed the ability to increase the grade of element affinity of Rank 3 and lower grade talent by a whole grade, but it is only effective on the first usage."

Another effect of the potion was to increase the mana flow in the body and this lead to increased in the refinement of the mana core to the next stage. It can be used repeatedly for this purpose but it is only effective till the Yellow Core stage. This made it one of the most sought out potion on the whole continent."

David and his father had been tirelessly thinking about how to increase his affinity since only children with at least Rank 4 affinity were properly groomed by the family. Others like him with Rank 3 affinity and lower are sent as foot soldiers to guard the sanctuary or monitor the family's businesses.

Now to his joy, his dream of increasing his affinity was about to come true.

"What a scam, thought Leo."

What Leo didn't know then was instead of increasing his mana affinity, the holy water increased his body attunement to mana thereby causing his body to passively absorb more mana from his surroundings.

He has been drinking the Holy water since he was seven months old but his fire affinity didn't increase at all.

"Give me the flask if you don't want me to beat you to pulp."

"I can't, it was a gift from my grandfather, replied Leo while hiding the flask in his robe."

"Do you know why I am here?" Asked David with an evil smile on his face.

"No!" Replied Leo with a feigned look of ignorance on his face.

"I thought they said you intelligent."

"Anyway, I came here to get revenge on you for making me lose face in the library."

"Argh, elder brother David, it's not yet up to that, I thought you were joking with me in the library, he exclaimed."

"Boom."

Leo was punched in the stomach by David. His back smashed against the wall of the cave and he screamed with a aching pain in his chest.

After crying in pain for a few minutes, he struggled to stand up with blood dripping from a corner of mouth.

"Why will I joke around with a trash like you, replied David with fury in his eyes."

"I would prefer if you do not struggle, give me the flask Leo."

"I promise not to hurt you if you willingly give up the flask." He promised.

"Upon hearing this, Leo quickly got on his knees. Am sorry, I didn't really mean what I said in the library, I was just trying to win some face for myself." Cried Leo pathetically.

"To show his sincerity, he bowed and presented the silver flask with both hands to him." A mischievous smile quickly flashed on his face before disappearing as if it never appeared before.

David without noticing this nodded with a smile on his face as he received the flask from him.

"As he collected the holy water he quickly drank three quarters of the bottle content before leaving the remaining quarter for his two followers to share."

"On seeing this, they both muttered and cursed him under their breaths."

David looked back upon hearing their muttering.

"Any problem?" he asked with anger on his face.

"No, senior brother, replied the two."

"Ungrateful bastards." he muttered before focusing his attention back on Leo.

"It's now time to deal with you."
