Chapter 291 - [290] EA!

Swish~ Swish~ Swish~

As August lifted the Key of the King's Law, it seemed to unlock a switch in the void. A dense network of crimson lines shot up into the sky, resembling a technology tree that kept ascending.

The Sword of Rupture, EA, the strongest treasure within the Gate of Babylon, belonged to Gilgamesh, the mightiest sword in his arsenal. In Mesopotamian mythology, it was a sword bearing the name of a god, standing at the pinnacle of treasures, known as the Sword that Slices Through the World.

However, to wield the Sword of Rupture, one must decipher the rules of the world they inhabit. When August first acquired the Gate of Babylon, he couldn't use this sword. But now, all preparations were complete. The sword from the world of Fate, specialized in pinpointing treasures, would now unveil its brilliance in this world.

Whoosh~

It looked more like a spear than a sword, with its entire body composed of three rotating rings in different positions. These rings represented the three realms: Heaven, Earth, and Underworld. This was the ultimate sword of Mesopotamian mythology.

"What is that? That weapon is definitely not just a sacred gear." The moment the Sword of Rupture appeared, the arrogance on Loki's face vanished, replaced by astonishment and fear. He could sense the threat of death emanating from the sword.

"Fenrir, kill him quickly! Now!"

ROOOOAR~

For some reason, Loki felt an incessant urge to warn him to kill August immediately and destroy this sword.

Following Loki's command, Fenrir leaped towards August.

"I shall perform this final blow as a parting gift to you!"

"I will tell you of the beginning."

"Heaven and Earth split, nothingness praised creation, my Sword of Rupture cleaved the world!"

"Mortar of the stars, heaven's hell is the eve of creation's celebration."

"Now you shall die and be silent..."

"Enuma Elish!"

Boom!

A force capable of annihilating all creation transformed into a vortex, unleashed forward. August felt the rapid depletion of his magical power within him. Using such a peerless treasure and wielding such immense power naturally came at a high cost.

The Sword of Rupture, EA, an EX-ranked anti-world noble phantasm, wielded the power to sever worlds.

In an instant, the entire wasteland was torn apart by this terrifying force, a raging torrent of magic obliterating everything in its path.

Even Fenrir, faced with this power, felt fear... a genuine threat of death.

Rumble~

The deafening roar and the raging storm of magical energy created a massive chasm, a hundred meters wide, extending into the distance.

When the dust settled, four-fifths of August's magical power had been drained. Even August found it hard to believe the scene before him.

Was this the power of the Sword of Rupture? It was truly terrifying, deserving of its name as the sword that tears through time.

Amidst the debris filled with chaotic magical energy, August sensed a lingering life force. Despite the devastating attack, Fenrir was still alive.

"How is this possible? A mere mortal, just a mere mortal, wielding such power?" Loki couldn't accept it. The residual force alone was enough to crush him, yet this power originated from a human. It was inconceivable.

Hearing Loki's voice, August turned his gaze towards him, noting Loki's near-maniacal expression. A slight smirk appeared on August's lips.

Clang~

Raising a hand, August pointed at Loki. Immediately, a chain shot through the ripples of the Gate of Babylon, heading straight for Loki.

Loki, not paying attention to his surroundings, was instantly bound by the chain.

"What is this thing? It actually binds me."

Loki struggled to break free, but soon realized he couldn't muster his strength. The chain carried a power that restrained him... or more specifically, restrained gods, making it impossible for him to use his abilities.

The Chains of Heaven, a divine noble phantasm, held the power to bind gods, acting as their natural nemesis.

"Damn mortal, what have you done to me?" Powerless, Loki plummeted from the sky, left with nothing but rage-filled roars at August.

But August ignored him. The immediate concern was Fenrir. Dragging Loki with the Chains of Heaven, August walked step by step into the chasm created by the Sword of Rupture. Fenrir lay there, severely injured.

ROOOOAR!

Even gravely wounded, Fenrir snarled at August as he approached. As long as it still lived, it would bite anyone who dared come close.

"Fenrir, submit to me."

ROOOOAR!

Fenrir growled furiously. Submit? He was the God-Devouring Wolf, a bane to the gods. If not for Loki being its creator and having the means to control it, Fenrir wouldn't have acknowledged even him.

"You should understand that I have the power to kill you. I held back in my last strike because I don't want to kill you. You are strong, capable of ushering in Ragnarok. If you die here, you won't rest in peace."

Fenrir fell silent at August's words. He did not fear death but didn't wish for it either. From birth, he had been chained like a dog. Was he destined to live and die like this?

"Let's make a deal. I need your power. In return, he's yours."

With a wave of his hand, the Chains of Heaven dragged Loki to Fenrir's feet.

The moment Fenrir saw Loki, a cold, murderous glint flickered in his eyes. No one likes being collared and treated like a dog. Fenrir, a top-tier magical creature, was no exception.

Now, seeing a powerless Loki, Fenrir's killing intent surged.

"Fenrir, what do you intend to do? I am your creator. Do you dare to turn against me? Have you forgotten the fear from before?"

Loki's furious roar only fueled Fenrir's rage. Mentioning the past only served to enrage the wolf further.

When Fenrir was first born, he had no intention of submitting to Loki. But Loki used secret arts to control and torture it, eventually enslaving it with prohibitive restrictions that severely weakened its power.

Seeing Loki now, the wolf's bloodlust was overwhelming.

"Submit to me, Fenrir, and he is yours to deal with as you see fit."

Fenrir's gaze shifted from Loki to August. After a tense moment, he nodded slightly, his submission sealing the deal.
