"Ray! Long time no see." While Ray is known as the greatest genius in the empire as he was tested by several grandmages and was even tested by a demi god to gauge his potential as his family announced it after he was born, Cray was also known as one of the greatest geniuses in the empire and Cray felt like he would learn a lot from Ray as he was titled the "greatest genius" and as he was one year older than Ray he felt even more pressure from that but instead of thinking of it as a disadvantage he thought of it as an opportunity to learn from Ray.
"Cray, It's been a while how's life in the academy?"
"It's been great all the other geniuses are there and it's been fun as well, I can't wait until you join and instantly become the best student."
"You have too much faith in me, we're still not sure until we try."
"By the way, Cray I have a new mana gathering method that I invented myself, I'll teach it to you later." Ray whispered.
"You really are a genius, you already created your own mana gathering method? What's its name?"
"Mana Movement."
"I can kind of visualize what it would be like, is it a mana gathering method that allows you to move while gathering mana?"
"Wow, you got that right on spot."
"Heh, you may be the greatest genius but I'm still better than you in some ways."
'I have really wanted to test out Genius Knight for a while, even after I realized that i could open the status window I didn't really notice Genius Knight at all, there must be a reason as to why.'
"What would happen to the empire if I was also not just a mage but was also a magic swordsman?"
"Everyone would go crazy, but why are you asking anyway? Don't tell me..." Cray thought to himself that Ray was actually a magic swordsman like his father.
"...It's nothing." Ray answered.
"I just wanna ask are there any strong people at the academy?"
"Well there is Anna Linston, one of the top 10 geniuses in the empire and there's also the ice goddess, Bell Grandise she's known as the second most greatest genius in the empire just before you and she's also going to enroll in the academy at most likely the same time as you."
'Bell? I've heard that she was the just as me and I can vaguely remember that our talents were tested at the same time.'
"Anyway why do you ask though? Did you get bored being at the top and now you finally want a challenge? I can kind of relate." Cray said as if he was bragging about his talent in front of hundreds of people passing by.
"..." ray looked at him with confused eyes.
"You're kind of right It's been boring since there was no one to challenge me in my same age group and there was also nothing that could make me use my full power on unless the item is above heroic rank."
There are multiple Items and Artifacts in this world and they are ranked by how valuable they are and how great there specs are but artifacts are commonly more valuable and more powerful than items.
Mythical Grade: the condition to make an artifact of this rank is unknown and even throughout the entire world there is only one man who has one and as no one has definite information about it its boost are unknown as well.
Heavenly Grade: Artifacts of this rank are made from 99% aether and the other 1% is made from origin energy which can only be produced by pure blooded gods and these artifacts can boost not only an individual's growth speed and stats but several people in its range of effects as well and it can boost the growth speed and stats by 60 to 80% and there are only 7 artifacts of this rank in the whole world and 3 of them are swords while the 4 are staffs
Legend Grade: Artifacts: Artifacts of this rank are entirely made from Aether without any impurities, and it can boost an individuals growth rate and all of their stats by 40 to 60% and there are only less than 20 artifacts of this rank in the world
Divine Grade: Artifacts: These Artifacts are specially made by demi god ranked people by using their divine power, equipments and accessories made by them can boost growth rate and multiple stats by 20 to 30% and there are only a hundred of these artifacts known to have been created throughout history.
Saint Grade: Artifacts: Anything made from Meteorites as they carry very small amounts of Aether, there are only a thousand known equipments and accessories in the world that are of this rank, it can boost a random stats by 10 to 15%.
Heroic Grade: Items: There are no items of this rank. Artifacts: Artifacts that are of this rank can be any type of equipment or accessory that are made from Ether a mysterious substance that can boost a random stats from 2 to 6% if not refined into an equipment or accessory but if it's refined it can boost a stats from 4 to 8%.
Advanced Grade: Items: The Items on advanced Rank can either be a sword or a shield made from steel to gold or any other equipments than can support the user physically. Artifacts: The artifacts on the advanced rank can also either be weapons or armor but are made from magic stones or any other equipments artifacts of this rank typically boost a random stat by 2 to 5%
Normal Grade: Items: items of normal rank don't have any extra benefits or effects. Artifacts: Artifacts of normal rank can increase a random stats depending on the type of artifact by 1 to 3%
These artifacts or items aren't just limited to equipments they could also be for utility like a lightbulb a flower pot basically anything but with just extra bonuses.
"Well it would actually be more surprising if you could already be bored with heroic rank artifacts."
"Hey Ray, do you think you'll ever become the most powerful human on the empire or even the world?"
'I'm sure I can but there are some factors that I need to consider.'
"I'm not sure but time will tell."
"Why are you speaking like an old man now?"
'I'm definitely sure I can become the most powerful human on the empire but I'm not quite sure if it's the entire world.'
"Actually why did you ask?"
"It's nothing I just wanted to see if you had the confidence to become the strongest person in the entire world."
"But anyway, Ray I have to go back to the academy as it's still one day away from here, so bye!" Cray said as he hurriedly ran towards the distance.
"So Master Ray, was it nice to have a conversation with a friend you haven't seen for a while?" Lance asked.
"Ye..."
"And master Ray I think our next destination should be Wuplasce, the library of magic as you can study some new spells for today."
'Does he think I need new spells? Or even need to study at all?'
"Sure." Ray then walked towards Wuplasce as it was a giant builiding that could be seen from miles away.
'This library is insanely huge.' As Ray entered the library many people stared at him as they immediately noticed who he was.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the empire's greatest genius, Ray Grandfell it's an honor to meet someone like you what may you need from this library?"
"I'll just read some books it's quite boring right now."
"Is that actually Ray Grandfell?"
"Even though he's just a kid he's quite handsome." People talked about Ray as he entered the library.
"But may I ask for no one to disturb me and where the 3rd to 5th circle spell books are?" Ray asked the librarian.
'3rd to 5th, this kid is already that advanced?!'
"O-oh all the beginner spell books are there and the advanced books are on that side, and we'll tell the people to refrain from bothering you." The librarian said.
"Thanks." Ray then went into an area where their were almost no people there and browsed through books that seemed interesting and as he was doing so he caught a glimpse of something he didn't expect would be there.
[How to form both magic and Aura]
"The title is simple but straightforward but what's more surprising is that it's on the beginner spell book section." Ray then sat down at a nearby table and began reading the book as it first introduced the basic techniques for magic and aura and slowly went into more complex theories and techniques.
Until it eventually explained how to control magic and Aura if you try to form both of them in your body, thus explaining how to become a magic swordsman without having the Heavenly body.
'So this is what I need to do, but i already have the Heavenly body does that mean that i was a magic swordsman from the start?!'
