Chereads / MYSTIC BONDS THE ALPHA LEGACY / Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

Chapter 8 - Chapter 8

The interaction between the two was seen by all the flock members who happened to be standing behind them. Surprisingly, Adam smiled wryly, "I expected it."

"Sorry to interrupt, you are our alpha. You should be looking for a way to get us out of this recent trouble, their herd is really cunning, they have demonic powers that are so desecrating to their honor as holy humans."

"Right, don't just smile on the spot and act immediately before the two people you released go any further."

Some of them began to protest at Adam's reaction which seemed unconcerned about the fate of his members.

The sound of chatter could be heard in the room regardless of the late hour, the full moon shining brightly, should have led them to the wilderness.

"Enough!" snapped Adam with an angry expression. "I've made a plan before you told me to, then those two people I deliberately let go, have something you don't know, they might help us after this."

"But..." Rudolf tried to explain, but Adam's face was clearly holding back his emotions. "They're just weaklings, why are you so scared?! We can think of ways to deal with them even without me!"

The alpha stood up and dusted off his clothes. "I still have something to do." After saying that, Adam walked away, leaving Rudolf frozen where he stood.

"Did my ears not hear wrong? The honorable Alpha is now saying he's busy..."

Bang!

Just then Olivia and Leon seemed to hear something, they turned their heads and looked for the origin of the sound and remained alert to their surroundings.

"Look out! There's a gun attack." Leon screeched suddenly while shielding Olivia's body, just then a shot shot up to his waist, and bled.

Olivia felt painful and immediately turned around with a feeling of anxiety, "Are you okay?"

"Don't mind me! It looks like they think we're members of a werewolf pack. But... We have to avoid this place immediately before the attack intensifies." Leon spoke firmly, but the painful bullet marks made it a little difficult for him to run.

Olivia remembered something, she stared at her empty palm with a sharp gaze. Then she did the same thing as before, on the gunshot wound on her waist, the light in her hand turned back on.

The gunshot wound disappeared in an instant. Surprisingly enough, but they didn't want to complicate things, so they quickly ran away from that place without thinking about the healing of the wound on Leon's waist that disappeared instantly.

They already knew that they had made it through that place.

Unfortunately, their steps stopped when they encountered two different directions, Olivia and Leon began to be confused about choosing a way to get out of the forest. "Which way should we go to get out of here?" Olivia stood there with a confused face, Leon observed the two directions.

In his life, this was the first time Leon could get lost deeper into the forest. Even though he was quite familiar with the state of the forest in the village, but his vision now seemed to have been closed by other creatures.

In a short time, Leon had decided. "Let's try to find another way. Let's explore this forest."

They began to look for another way out carefully, and looked for a path that seemed safe.

"Looks like we can go this way." Leon exclaimed as he pointed in the direction.

"Alright, but we have to get out of here quickly before they attack us again." Olivia said with emphasis. They walked quickly and paid attention to every detail around them.

In the next few seconds, Olivia suddenly stopped her steps. "Wait! Looks like we made it, I see a path over there. I hope it's a safe exit."

Leon's gaze fell on a path covered in lush grass, "We better check it out first. We have to make sure that it's safe."

They headed straight for the path with caution. After confirming that it was safe, they decided to continue their journey.

"Come on, let's try to get out of here." Leon gestured. They resumed their steps through the trees and finally saw something that caught their attention.

Smoke billowing in the distance, accompanied by green mountains and fragrant grass, this wild mountain scenery was truly beautiful. Leon felt familiar with the place, "Does that mean we've made it?"

They instead arrived at a desolate city, filled with haunting buildings. As a man, Leon stepped forward cautiously. "We have to be careful and alert," Leon said as he glanced at Olivia who was still deeply hidden by the anxiety in her chest.

Olivia, had captivatingly sharp eyes, not to mention her sensitive hearing for sounds. "Wait! I heard there's a pack of savage wolves being harnessed by an evil entity here," Olivia spoke seriously.

"We need to check every house in this village and analyze every place for clues. I suspect something is not right around here."

Their steps continued through the empty streets as the weather began to warm up. Suddenly, the sound of the wind whispering filled their ears. "I'm sure this isn't a safe place," Leon said as he looked around him. "We need to stay together and be vigilant, Olivia."

Their gaze fell on an old empty house, Olivia was curious and intended to enter it. "Wait?" Leon intended to hold her back, before she actually went inside. "We don't know what awaits us in there, you should be more careful.

"I know, thanks for reminding me." Olivia walked back in and found the room dark, with no opening for light to enter.

They shone every angle around the room. "There's something strange here," Leon whispered to Olivia.

He felt a strange vibration around him. "I think someone is watching us," Leon said.

Olivia felt frightened, her eyes affected by the illusion in the darkness of the room. "We need to get out of here, it looks like another creature is here!"

Suddenly from beside the table, an evil entity appeared. An apparition appeared there, the figure of a horrifying supernatural being. Olivia squealed at that moment, they wanted to leave the place immediately but were prevented by a shadow that transformed into the creature in front of her. "You're too late," the voice screeched sinisterly. "I've set my plan in motion, and I'm not going to let you foil it!"

Leon mounted his stance with all the courage in him. "I won't let you hurt anyone here!" Leon said, his voice full of determination. In a fluid action, Leon leapt forward, fighting the strange, creepy creature with speed, even with all the skills he had that he didn't know where they came from, he became stronger than ever.

Olivia didn't want to stay silent until she joined the defense, at that crucial moment, there was again smoke billowing in front of the door, "Your grandfather..." Olivia could remember that it was an astral creature that came out of the ancient book in her bag.

At the same time, a figure whose name Olivia didn't know yet helped Leon, who was now breathing heavily against the creature. The old grandfather began, launching his counterattack.

Olivia was truly amazed, especially when the old man cast an ancient spell that erased the monstrous creature's evil power.

A fierce struggle took place in the room, with flashes of light and clanking attacks. Finally, until at the same time, the monstrous creature vanished instantly. The old grandfather defeated and paralyzed it.

After the battle, the world around them was temporarily calm. Leon looked at Olivia with understanding and immediately ran over to her. "Are you okay Olivia?" Leon said softly.

"Yes, thanks to that grandfather we are safe." Her gaze focused on the old man who was now floating like a wind shear approaching them.

"Olivia, who is he...?" Leon stammered when he saw the figure now standing next to Olivia. "Actually, what secrets are you hiding from me." Leon's voice now turned stern.

Again the echoing voice sounded booming "You are family to me..."

Leon and Olivia looked at each other, they looked astonished and did not understand what the old man meant. "What does that mean? Didn't we all meet by accident?"
