"Dean, we need to get these people out right now," Sam said urgently before he hastily returned to the group, more than a little worried. "Alright, guys change of plans. We're leaving, we need to get out of here, right now." He hurriedly walked around packing up what little they had left.
His actions drew confused looks from those present with the exception of Dean who was now joining the group.
Examining his hunting rifle Roy assured the 'panicked' Sam. "Look kid whatever is out there. I'll take care of it."
Sam scoffed." I'm not worried about you taking care of it, I'm worried about it taking care of you." He eyed Roy's gun. "And that rifle of yours will do nothing but piss it off." Alexander's eyes flashed with realization at Sam's words.
"Huh." Roy's head tilted in confusion.
'Doesn't this kid know that this rifle kills bears?'
"We need to leave, now" Sam ordered, disregarding Roy.
A gesture Roy didn't take too kindly.
Taking a confrontational stance, Roy stepped into Sam's space looking up to the boy's eyes. "Don't order me around, boy."
"Guys." Dean called out in an attempt to stop them, only to be ignored.
Hailey shielded Ben while trying to calm the two men down.
Alexander chose to ignore them in favor of ensuring everyone's safety. His eyes darted around the surroundings, his main focus was searching for any trace that the unknown creature was still around.
Sam looked to the sky, in annoyance. "You've never even met a Wendi-" He stopped himself.
Sam exasperatedly sighed. "It's a damn near perfect hunter." He muttered. "We should have never let you come here."
"Do we have a problem, kid?!" Roy drew closer.
"Yeah." Sam's frustration growing. "Your stupidity is going to get somebody killed." He spat down to Roy.
Now, fully fed up with Sam, Roy raised the butt of his gun intending to take action to teach Sam a lesson. Sam also reacted ready to counter. However, before Roy could proceed any further Alexander grabbed ahold of his arm.
"Guys." He called, stopping them in their tracks.
He had finished his surveillance and just in time, it would seem.
"Guys, if I could say a few things before you... You know, continue?" Alexander asked.
Sam further irritated by Alexander's presence tried to escalate the situation but a firm tap on the shoulder from his brother forced him to swallow his anger.
Receiving confirmation to continue, Alexander made his case. "I hate to disagree with Sam but we can't leave." Sam glared at him.
"Judging by your sudden change in attitude and your words earlier, it's safe to assume you guys don't think we're hunting just a bear." He said, still pretending not to know the brothers.
Roy chimed. "What else could it be if it's
not a bear?"
"Please Roy, let me continue." He pleaded politely.
Roy reluctantly hummed in agreement.
"But Sam you yourself called it, whatever it may be a 'perfect hunter'." He argued to Sam, then gestured to their camping gear or lack thereof "And this perfect hunter of yours seems to have targeted us. I highly doubt it's just going to let us walk out of here."
"Get to the point." Sam basically growled in agitation.
Alexander just smiled, "My point is if it's a bear we can kill it and if it's not a bear it's not letting us out of here alive. The only way out of here is to take it down.... And let's not forget the main reason we're here..." "Hailey." He pointed at her, "she came all this way to find her brother, Tommy. I doubt she's just going to go back home just because you said so." Alexander looked to Hailey who gave them a determined nod.
"See." Alexander smiled again.
Sam did nothing, said nothing, he just stared at Alexander with hatred and anger.
Tugging his brother by the shoulder Dean called. "Sam. He's right. We have to stay."
Hearing his brother's words Sam reluctantly withdrew his gaze from Alexander and walked off in a huff.
Alexander smiled at Ben and exaggeratedly whispered "Scary." Earning him a little chuckle from the boy.
