Dark palace, blue lights, the bodies of my friends lying around me. I opened my eyes and raised my hand to the sky, but my strength had failed me. Tears were streaming from my eyes. Oh, my weakness, how pitiful I am! I couldn't protect anyone. (Suddenly, I sensed the presence of that person)
I dashed toward him, our swords clashing until their echoes resonated throughout the place.
And there he was, gathering his aura, that massive red aura. With one swing of his sword, he sliced me in half.
Adel: Wake up from your sleep.
Ahmad: Oh, what a strange nightmare I just had!
Adel: How would I know? Come on, let's go harvest the crops before the sun sets.
Ahmad: Oh, the usual chores. Okay, okay.
"Our lives were normal, living in a farm close to the city, and we were from a poor class, planting and harvesting our daily sustenance."
But in this world, strength rules everything. The noble lineage is at the very top of the power hierarchy. Money has no value; those in positions of power are the strong who have dedicated their children to training from a young age.
(And on that day, the tragedy that changed everything occurred)
Adel: Hurry up, I want to finish the harvest. I have other tasks.
Ahmad: Adel, don't you notice the sky is a bit red?
Adel: Hurry, I don't have time for your nonsense.
"The sound of the city alarm rang out."
Ahmad: What's going on? Is the city under attack by monsters?
Adel: No, that can't happen. The knights protect the city.
Ahmad: Why don't we go check?
Adel: It sounds like a bad idea, but I'll go along with you.
"And after Ahmad and Adel reached the city walls…"
Adel: Damn, the fires are surrounding the gates!
Ahmad: He shouted at the top of his lungs.
Adel: What is it?
Ahmad: B... Bodies!!
Adel rushed over and witnessed that horrific scene.
"Flames, blood, red coloring filling the area, and monsters roaming, killing everything that moved before them."
Even though we were hiding behind the walls, and the place was very quiet, suddenly a giant ogre caught our scent from afar...
Adel: The ogre noticed us, run!!
The ogre roared with such intensity that we fell to the ground from the force of the scream that shook our bones.
And there he was, rushing towards us, wielding that hammer covered in the blood of the townspeople.
To be continued...
