Nodding back at Gambit, who is a pretty damn cool dude, but I've learned my lesson never to gamble against him; I don't know how, but I've never won anything, even when I used my powers to cheat, such as switching my cards with his faster than he can react, he somehow still win; the best I can ever do is a tie. Grumbling under my breath as I glared at the man who had stolen hundreds of dollars from me, I sat down in an empty seat beside Bobby and looked at Professor X, who was sitting at the forefront of the table.
"So, what did you guys need help with, Professor?" Asked Tut curiously as he glanced at everyone before shifting his focus back to Professor X, who cleared his throat and gestured to the projection right behind him.
"This right here is the map of Eygpt and also the last known place of Storm's whereabouts; late last night, Storm's tracking device stopped sending out signals. Though that in itself isn't too big of a deal, in the heat of battle, such things are destined to happen; however, she hasn't called us since then, and most importantly." Declared Professor X as he and everyone looked at the wall where the projection was, only for the image to suddenly change to a video.
Watching the shaky and rather pixelated video, I saw Magneto floating in the air in Egypt, which was weird, though as I took a closer look, I couldn't help but frown deeply as I stared at his face and body.
"Magneto, he's younger." Muttered Tut with a slight frown as he gazed at Magneto, his words causing everyone to look deeply at the video while McCoy and Professor X nodded in agreement.
"Yes, you're right; we don't know how, but we believe he's returned to his mid-twenties; however, that's not what concerns us." Stated McCoy lightly as he glanced at Tut with a nod before focusing back on the video.
Following Magneto's appearance, he raised his arms, causing everything that was metal to float into the air, though instead of attacking the people down below, he started to build a construct using all the metal objects, and not even a minute later, a metallic pyramid, larger than any other pyramid was created in the center of the city.
When cops and soldiers tried to fight back, they were all suddenly lifted into the air before their bodies exploded, followed by them being squished together in a large human meatball.
"Ugh, I think I'm going to be sick." Muttered Scott in disgust as he covered his mouth while everyone nodded with an unsightly expression.
"H-How is Magneto even doing that? I-I thought he could only control metal?" Questioned Rogue with disgust as she looked at the video before glancing at McCoy.
"It's the iron in their bodies." Said Tut with a frown as he glanced at Rogue before looking at everyone else.
"Yes, Pharaoh is correct; Magneto has somehow improved his capabilities to such an extreme level that he's able to control the iron in a person's body effortlessly." Stated Professor X with a deep frown as he continued watching the video, only for an armored vehicle with a mounted turret to enter the scene.
With the newly arrived vehicle, we all expected it to be crushed into small bits, but, to our surprise, a large bolt of lightning came from the clear sky and struck it, causing it to erupt into a fiery explosion. Instantly after, the camera suddenly shifted to the left, only for two blurry people to be seen floating in the sky; one of them was a blue man wearing armor whom I'd never seen before, while the other was Storm, something everyone here noticed.
However, the video was cut short when she suddenly looked at us, followed by a bolt of lightning hitting the cameraman, causing the video to end.
"What happened to you, Storm?" Muttered Gambit angrily with an ugly expression as he clenched his fist while looking at the static projection.
Folding my arms, I frowned while looking between both McCoy and Professor X; I was deeply confused about what the hell was going through Storm's head, but I was also confused as to why they called me.
"So, I don't mean to undermine what's happened to Storm, but why did you call me Professor?" Asked Tut as he glanced at Professor X, who turned his wheelchair and looked at him.
"It's to help us locate Storm and Magneto. I can't use Cerebo as it's yet to be repaired, so you're the first person who came to mind. We were hoping your ears would be able to locate them as Jean has mentioned you're capable of hearing everything that happens on Earth." Replied Professor X seriously as he and McCoy looked at Tut, while everyone else seemed quite surprised by his words.
"Eh, Cerebo needs to be repaired? Did something happen?" Asked Bobby in slight confusion as he glanced at both McCoy and Professor.
With Bobby bringing it up, I couldn't help but notice that Jean wasn't present; she's gone on a few missions in the past, same with Rogue and Scott, so I'm just surprised she wasn't present.
'I'll ask her later; hopefully, she's not angry with me.' Thought Tut as he rubbed his head before nodding.
"It's a long story, Bobby. Though yes, I should be able- found them." Remarked Tut as he glanced at Bobby before closing his eyes, only to sport an unsightly expression a second later.
"Eh, that quickly?" Muttered Rogue in slight surprise as she looked at Tut, who suddenly stood up while looking upwards toward the left.
Looking through the numerous layers of walls, floors, and dirt, I spotted Storm, Magneto, and the blue-armored dude flying through the sky, heading right for us; however, there was also one other person, someone I hadn't talked to in a few years, running along the ground.
'Pietro? You too?' Thought Pharaoh with a frown as he gazed at the four, only for his expression suddenly to harden when he noticed the blue man stare right back at him.
Suddenly feeling a terrible pain in my mind as if someone had just bashed it with a sledgehammer, I grabbed my head and nearly collapsed to the ground; that man, he was trying to read my mind, though just barely, was I able to resist it.
"Pharaoh!" Yelled nearly everyone in concern as they saw how Tut grabbed his head before suddenly dropping to one knee.
"Pharaoh, are you okay?" Asked McCoy in concern as he quickly rushed toward Tut and helped him stand up.
"Y-Yeah, I-I'm fine; t-thanks." Replied Tut with a painful expression as he held his head and used McCoy as support to lean on.
"Pharaoh, what happened?" Asked Professor X solemnly as he scooted closer to Pharaoh in concern.
"I-I found them; the only problem is, they've also found us. They're here, Professor; they're outside the mansion as we speak." Declared Tut with a deep frown while glancing at Professor X, his words surprising everyone as they all immediately stood up with solemn expressions.
"Are you sure?" Asked Colossus in his deep voice as he looked at Tut, who nodded before glancing back to the ceiling.
"Yeah, just look at the camera outside the mansion." Remarked Tut, his words prompting McCoy to quickly grab the remote to the projector.
Just as I said, standing at the front of the X-Mansion were the four people: Pietro, Storm, Magneto, and the blue dude, whatever his name is. It seemed he must've also noticed us since the blue dude looked right at us through the camera before raising his hands to his sides.
"Come and meet your God." Stated the blue man calmly as he glanced at the camera before looking down towards the ground.
"Hmph, alright, bub, I'm going to have a word with this freak." Said Wolverine as he cracked his neck and exited the briefing room, followed by Gambit.
"I need to speak some sense into Storm; she helped me get on the right path, and I'm not about to let her take the wrong one." Said Gambit with a frown as he unholstered his bo-staff while following behind Wolverine.
"I'm going as well; that fool can't just try to read my mind and get away with it." Remarked Tut in slight anger as he gently pushed off McCoy and headed after both Gambit and Wolverine.
Catching up to Wolverine and Gambit, we exited the basement and walked through the mansion before eventually arriving at the front entrance, where the four were arrogantly standing before us. I ignored Magneto and the blue dude and glanced at both Strom and Pietro, confused as to why they were following such a person.
"Which one of you is the leader?" Asked Wolverine with a frown as he dropped his cigarette onto the ground and snuffed it with his heel while standing in the middle between Gambit and Tut.
"Blasphemous behavior, you are to kneel when before our God, Apocalypse!" Declared Magneto in slight anger as he raised his hand, forcing both Gambit and Wolverine to their knees against their will while Tut didn't so much as budge.
Scoffing, I touched both Wolverine and Gambit, enveloping them in my aura, which served to sever the connection between Magneto and the metal within them, allowing them to stand back up.
"Thanks. Hmph." Said Gambit and Wolverine, respectively, as they glared at Magneto, who looked absolutely alive.
"You!" Muttered Magneto angrily as he glared at Tut, the memory of his pathetic defeat against Tut's twelve-year-old self fresh in his mind.
