Chapter 109 - Chapter 108: Jean's Racist!?

Hearing Gwen shrieking in fear, without any hesitation, I ran through the house as fast as I could and arrived outside in the backyard, where Gwen was standing with her hands on her cheeks while screaming; it was a little funny given how she was practically frozen from my perspective. However, I didn't dwell on that long and looked around, trying to find what caused Gwen to emit such a terrified shriek, yet what I found nearly caused me to scream as well, since, on the ground, at her feet, was the VHS I had destroyed with yesterday night with my heat vision, though for some reason, there it was is was, completely intact.

'I swear someone is about to catch these hands.' Thought Tut angrily as he looked at the VHS on the ground while his perception returned to normal, causing Gwen to continue screaming.

A few moments later, Jean rushed out through the open door, with Pete appearing shortly after with concerned looks, which slightly calmed down when they noticed me.

"Gwen, what's wrong?" Asked Jean as she came up to Gwen and soothed her, causing her to calm down, though her eyes never once left the VHS, which was something Peter quickly noticed.

"I-Is that what I think it is, Tut?" Asked Peter nervously as he looked at the VHS beside the deep hole before glancing at Tut, who was sipping on his Sprite with a livid expression.

"Tsk, I don't know; why don't you three go and watch it again." Replied Tut angrily, crushing the can before chucking it into the air, causing an instantaneous boom as the can speedily left orbit and headed toward the moon.

"What are you two talking about?" Asked Jean with a frown as she glared at Peter and Tut arguing while she helped Gwen, who tapped her hand before pointing at the VHS.

"T-They're arguing about this, Jean." Said Gwen, prompting Jean to glance at her before looking at what she was pointing at, only for her to scream in fear as she raised her hand and crushed the VHS with her telekinesis, smashing it into tiny little bits.

"T-There, w-we should be good now, right?" Remarked Jean hesitantly as she looked between Gwen, Peter, and Tut, though they were all too busy eyeing the hundreds of pieces of the VHS on the ground.

While eyeing the numerous tiny pieces, they slowly moved back together and built themselves back together, and after ten whole minutes, we had a perfectly intact VHS that one wouldn't think was previously crushed into hundreds of bits and melted by my heat vision.

Clicking my tongue, I reached down, grabbed the VHS, and snapped it in half before handing one to Peter while throwing the other at the rising sun, creating a powerful torrent of wind that nearly lifted us into the air. Watching half of the VHS leave Earth's atmosphere before speedily flying through space as it slowly but surely neared the sun, I glanced back at everyone.

"Do you think that'll work?" Asked Gwen lightly as she looked at the sky before glancing at Tut, who frowned and shook his head.

"We just saw it build itself back together, so I doubt this will, but at least after this, we'll know destroying it is no longer an option." Replied Tut while shaking his head as he looked away from VHS, which had just passed the moon, before glancing at Gwen.

"Umm, about that; I think you guys might want to see this." Remarked Peter awkwardly as he outstretched his hand, which was holding the other half, and before everyone's eyes, the piece was slowly rebuilding itself just like the previous one, causing everyone to show unsightly and ugly expressions.

Cursing under my breath, I grabbed the half out of Pete's hand before chucking it in the opposite direction of the sun, though for some reason, none of us were that confident it would work.

"Now, let's see how long it takes before it returns back to us, if ever." Stated Pharaoh with a click of his tongue as he entered the house, followed by Peter, Jean, and Gwen, who all froze while eyeing the coffee table.

There it was, right there, on the coffee table, like it was never gone in the first place, the VHS; this actually pissed me off; I don't think I've ever felt so frustrated before in my life, there was actually some weird paranormal or mystical things happening with the VHS.

"Fuck." Said Pharaoh, Peter, Jean, and Gwen simultaneously as they eyed the pristine VHS.

It's been two days since what happened with the VHS, and today was Monday, the morning specifically; we were all supposed to be at school or at least on the bus, but instead, we were at my Dad's farm. I had flown us there through the night using my Dad's old piece of junk car, and we're currently walking toward the well that was at the end of the video.

"Yeah, you're right, Tut, they're the same." Said Peter with a slight frown as he, Gwen, Jean, and Pharaoh eyed the old, rickety well, which doesn't seem to have been used in decades.

"You thought I was lying?" Remarked Tut with a scoff as he folded his arms and taped the stone well with his foot, causing Jean to yank him backward with her telekinesis.

"Don't do that; what if you speed up our time limit!? We've only got five days left!" Stated Jean aggressively as she slapped Tut's shoulder, though she was the one who winced in pain.

"It's not that we thought you were lying, Tut; it's just hard to believe. I mean, what are the chances that would happen?" Asked Gwen lightly as she glanced at Tut before peeking her head over the well, though all she saw was water at the bottom.

"That's the thing, Gwen; it's not a coincidence; you saw how that VHS literally rebuilt itself after being destroyed several times; over my dead fucking body is that a coincidence." Replied Tut as he grabbed the small, wooden roof over the stone well before ripping it off and tossing it into the distance.

"That was a bit excessive, don't you think?" Asked Peter, though all he got was a glare from Tut, causing him to close his mouth and silently nod.

"You've got the best eyes, Tut; what can you see?" Asked Gwen as she looked over the stone well alongside Tut, prompting Jean and Gwen to do the same.

Looking into the well and seeing nothing but murky water, I switched through the entire electromagnetic spectrum, even going so far as to squint my eyes, hoping that could somehow make a difference, which it didn't, as all I saw was the same as before.

'Nah, this isn't simply freaky anymore; I'm actually getting a little spooked; why the hell can't I see through that murky water?' Thought Tut with an ugly expression as he eyed the murky water at the bottom of the well, though all he saw was the reflection of him and his friends.

"Tsk, I can't see anything; something is interfering with my eyes, and I do not like it at all." Stated Tut with an ugly expression as he clicked his tongue and backed away, while everyone was taken aback by his words.

"Can't see anything? Didn't you say you could perfectly see Pluto? How can you not see something that's less than ten meters away from you?" Questioned Jean skeptically as she eyed Tut, prompting him to flick her head while she recoiled in pain.

"Were you listening to what I said, dumbo? I said something was interfering with my eyes, that water's probably special or something, which makes no sense, as I've looked down this well before." Remarked Tut with a frown as he looked at Jean, who held her head in before lifting a rock and chucking it at him, though it simply broke on his head.

"Be gentle; you left a bruise." Said Jean with teary eyes as she glared at Tut, who huffed in annoyance before looking away.

"Alright, we've all seen the movie, so who's going down there to look for the girl's corpse?" Asked Peter seriously as he pointed down at the well while looking between Jean, Pharaoh, and Gwen, who all gave him dumbfounded looks.

"Huh? Not me. You've got me fucked up if you think I'm about to go down; on my momma, I ain't going down there." Declared Jean, Gwen, and Tut, respectively, with the latter sounding rather aggressive.

"So, Jean, can you go down there?" Asked Peter as he and everyone else looked at Jean, who, having been friends with Tut for so long, had learned some of the art of ignorance from him.

"Fuck no, nigga!" Stated Jean aggressively as she folded her arms and glared at Peter, though her choice of words caused the three to widen their eyes.

"J-Jean, did you just say the N-word?" Asked Gwen with wide eyes as she looked at Jean, who seemed completely oblivious to what she had just said.

"Hmm, N-word? What're you talking about? Tut says it all the time; is it a bad word?" Questioned Jean curiously as she tilted her head in confusion and looked between Peter and Gwen.

"Is it a bad word? It depends on who uses it, Jean, though if you say it, it can be racist and highly offensive to a certain demographic, and they're highly abundant in New York." Stated Peter lightly as he and Gwen completely forgot why they were there and tried to enlighten Jean.

"HAHAHAHAHAH!!" Said Pharaoh, bursting out in unbridled laughter as he leaned against Jean while tears rolled down his eyes, surprising both Peter and Gwen by how hard he was laughing.

I forgot to mention it a few chapters ago, but I've finally decided whether it'll be a harem or not, and my decision is!? HAREM! Now, before those who didn't want the harem to get upset, there will ONLY be THREE women, and that's FINAL! I'd also like to point out that the harem isn't going to work out seamlessly initially. Don't expect Sara to just happily accept another woman like this is the medieval time period or something; this is modern times. I'd also like to note, the only reason the harem will even end up working out, is because of the three woman I've decided on, if it were anyone else, it realistically wouldn't work and I feel like I'd just forcing it a little. Last but not, the second woman won't be introduced for some time, so if possible, for those non-harem supports, at least read until when the second woman gets introduced, and if you still don't fuck with it, then I've got nothing to say.

Anyway, I hope y'all enjoy, and don't bother asking who the women are; I won't tell, though I'll give you a pretty major hint: the three women have been introduced: Sara(Obviously), ????, ????.
