Chapter 11 - good news in the fireplace

Veleye was pensive by the fireplace, used to helping the monastery light fires. It was already spring again. Since when did time fly by so quickly.

"I'm glad you're always helping me, even though it's my job." she said, continuing to build the fire in the hearth.

Valaye smiled. Her clear eyes made people feel warm seeing her for a long time.

"Your brother's last visit last year, you must have missed him." The nun seemed to understand what the girl was feeling. Her eyes watered in an instant. "Don't cry, the smoke does make your eyes sting. But I'm already immune, even though I'm old." His words sounded funny, oh he meant it because he wanted to comfort her.

"Do you know, there will be a scholarship from the kingdom soon." His sentence stopped, he looked with seductive eyes at Valaye. The girl did not flinch. Because there was no response from Valaye, he took the firewood from her hand.

"Do you understand what I'm saying?" Although it was a whisper, but his voice was full of pressure. He looked around him. "I'll get you into the scholarship, you want to be a doctor right." He was more specific.

Her pupils rounded perfectly, it was the best news of her life. She nodded. "Next month I'll enter your name, but I need to change some of your bio, so they don't notice." he said excitedly.

"Why are you doing this?" Valeye asked in surprise but he felt happy.

"Hey did you forget, I'll be out of this place soon, if you're still here it's hard for me to live in peace." His explanation made Valeye's eyes water. "Just save your tears, it's not free, if you succeed in finding me later." Her face laughed contentedly in a cracked voice. She looked like an old mother to him

Valeye felt happy, he was even confused about how to make an expression. Has the god heard his prayers, is this the answer to his prayers. Well he felt alive at the moment.

She was even almost 11 years old in a few months.

Remembering Morgan's promise to her, she was hesitant about Aunt Zen, the nun's offer. But she had to leave this orphanage soon, it was her wish. A few weeks ago, she accidentally heard that there were many children who didn't actually go out of the orphanage, but they were hired and it was supervised by the envoy of the orphanage foundation. the rumors had long spread, but the children who came to the orphanage were not only sold by their parents, they were also kidnapped.

Is she really trusting Aunt Zen right now?

She thought about it continuously, but she still felt that she had to wait for Morgan's promise to her. It was just that 15 years took a few more years.

She looked at the wounds, on her body, well they would never heal, because they increased every day. But she didn't hate them one bit. She thought about the offer. Until she felt sick of herself.

While gazing up at the sky in the vasse, he was currently grumbling in annoyance at some of the policies that had been changed by muerdt by forging some seals. She was upset but had to be patient. He was complicated with a calm face.

He had been studying for a year, not intending to return quickly but with his dominating intelligence he had already completed half of his studies. All the teachers said she was very intelligent. She had to return at the age of 18. Or before

"Why would I feel sorry for him, he's not even better than my xelius, you think I'm doing charity work for the god of masterless beasts." He said with annoyance and indifference. His words made several guards stare at each other with fear.

Hearing that, Ortiz understood where his old man's anger was headed. "But the royal parliament's insistence on impeaching your uncle the duke." He was more specific. That wasn't enough for the rever, judging by how annoyed he looked.

"Shut up idiot, do you think I'm negotiating with the thieves in my house." His words managed to stun Ortiz's mouth. Without another word, he finally backed off, giving revar space to contemplate, or rebel.

His hand loosened his tie, there was the clasp of his tie dangling. The corner of his lips lifted slightly. "Hm." A sound from inside a mouth with great meaning.

Not long after, another person entered his room. A typical senatorial bodyguard. Revar could see the man's shadow on the wall in front of him. The shadow nodded. Revar smiled.

His face half-turned, seeing that his bodyguard immediately left. Their meeting was strange, but only they understood.

He lit the fire, his lips clamped on the cigarette. He lit it at the end, then smoked it slowly, savoring it for a moment before the white smoke escaped from his mouth. He seemed to be very good at it. It was as if the plan was perfect, like her hopes and her life were too perfect.
