Chereads / The Awakened Conqueror / Chapter 35 - Another one.

Chapter 35 - Another one.

The room was quiet despite the crowd. The only thing that could be heard was Wang Mang's groaning in pain. Kai raised his right hand and was ready to slap Wang Mang. Suddenly, a blond young man with piercings in his ears appeared in front of Wang Mang.

Kai turned his cold gaze towards the blonde and asked, his voice dripping with contempt, "So, you want to save this trash?"

The blonde visibly trembled upon hearing Kai's icy words, but he clenched his teeth and replied, "Senior, could you please let this slide? I promise to talk to Wang Mang and ensure this doesn't happen again."

Kai pointed towards Xia Chen, who had been the target of Wang Mang's bullying earlier, and asked accusingly, "And why didn't you intervene when he was beating up that guy?"

The blonde was tongue-tied, not knowing how to respond. The truth was, he had taken pleasure in watching the weakling suffer. But before he could utter a word, Kai said, "You can't say anything because you enjoy it too?"

And he continued. "Well, I don't really care what you fools do, but you better not lay a hand on my woman, or else..."

Without warning, the atmosphere in the room suddenly shifted. Kai's gaze turned frigid, and an aura of dominance enveloped the blonde. Fear gripped the young man's heart, as he realized that the person standing before him was not just an ordinary high school student. In a moment of panic, the blonde immediately dropped to his knees, trembling all over, and began to kowtow.

"I'm so sorry for everything, it's all my fault," the blonde guy managed to choke out between sobs, tears streaming down his face. "I promise, I'll never do it again. Please, Father... no, Grandfather, please forgive me."

Everyone watching was left completely stunned by this unexpected turn of events. Those acquainted with the blonde guy couldn't help but feel a mix of shock and satisfaction, as the notorious bully finally met his match. This guy was no different from Wang Mang – he had been tormenting the weak, especially the nerds.

Xia Chen, his hands tightly clenched into fists, couldn't help but be mesmerized by the scene before him. "This senior is truly formidable, reducing Guang Cheng to this state without even lifting a finger," he thought, filled with admiration.

Although the senior had only intervened because of his sister, Xia Chen couldn't help but feel grateful that he had shown him that he shouldn't be afraid of people like those bullies, giving him a newfound sense of hope.

Kai, taken aback by the extent of the little Conqueror's aura that he had unintentionally unleashed, quickly retracted it before the blonde guy could piss his pants.

"That's enough," he said, not wanting to push things anymore.

"Don't call me your grandfather. I don't have a grandson like you. I'll leave the cleaning up to you here," Kai said dismissively as he turned on his shoes and left the room. Mae Ling, Lu Fang Er, and Xia Chen following suit.

The crowd, standing in awe, obediently made way for Kai as they watched him depart. The nerds and other students who had been subjected to the bullies' torment looked on at Kai's back as if he were their hero, giving them a newfound hope.

Kai paid no mind to the onlookers, leading the way out of the place.

On the rooftop, there was an old, big tent with a cozy sofa where two beautiful fairies sat. A wooden table was set in front of them, adorned with their lunch boxes. They could even see a soft bed with fluffy pillows on the side. The fairies were engaged in a heartfelt conversation, but one of them, a petite fairy, seemed burdened with worry. The other fairy comforted her, speaking in reassuring tones.

Suddenly, the sound of the rooftop door opening reached their ears. Mae Ling, Kai, Lu Fang Er, and Xia Chen emerged from the doorway. Kai led the way towards the large tent, with the others trailing behind.

Eyes brimming with curiosity, Mae Ling couldn't help but blurt out her question, "Whoa! What's up with the huge tent here?"

Kai's gaze shifted towards the tent, memories flooding back. "My master and I built this tent a while back," he explained, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

As Kai's words hung in the air, memories of those training sessions flooded his mind, reminding him of the valuable lessons he had learned and the growth he had experienced during that time on the rooftop. This tent was his utopia after the intense training he had done with Rick.

Kai then entered the tent, his face beaming with a radiant smile. Reika, filled with joy, dashed towards him and wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. Kai returned her hug, squeezing her just as fiercely, and whispered, "I'm back."

As they separated, Reika scanned Kai's face and examined his body, with concern written all over her face. She anxiously inquired, "Are you okay?"

Before Kai could respond, a cute and pretty junior fairy barged into the tent, followed by a young girl and boy covered in bruises and bandages. Bursting with excitement, the junior named Mae Ling spoke up, exclaiming, "Senior Brother is more than okay, Elder Sister! He was amazing! He defeated a scary delinquent and treated him like a helpless baby! And the best part is..."

Mae Ling coughed and cleared her throat, attempting to mimic Kai's earlier action. She resumed, "You can do whatever you want and act all tough towards the weak, but don't you dare use that filthy mouth of yours against my woman. He said in front of everyone! Kyaa~ Kyaa~ I can't even explain how happy I felt!"

Mae Ling shared every thrilling detail of the encounter, her voice reaching high pitches, leaving the others captivated.

As they all settled down, Mae Ling continued her enthusiastic storytelling, while a young fairy named Lian Li observed Kai with mixed emotions upon hearing that Mae Ling had also become his woman.
