'World Quest? I already have lots of random quests that I haven't cleared yet. But now, I also have a world quest?'
While Kai was lost in his thoughts, Xia Chen suddenly dropped to his knees in front of him, his forehead crashing onto the floor with a loud thud.
"Senior, Brother. Please teach me how to fight... I want to be like you." Xia Chen pleaded with a determined look in his eyes.
Kai's attention was snapped back to reality as he looked at Xia Chen's desperate expression.
"You want to be like me?" Kai asked, raising an eyebrow in surprise.
"Yes," Xia Chen replied, his voice full of determination.
"I mean, I'm nothing special, you know. I just happen to know how to throw a few punches," Kai said, trying to brush off his skills.
Confusion clouded Xia Chen's face as he witnessed firsthand how strong Kai is. "What do you mean, senior?"
Kai sighed, feeling conflicted. "Look, I don't even know how to teach someone. I learned everything I know from my Master. But, let me ask him if he can take you as his student too."
Xia Chen's heart sank at the rejection, but a glimmer of hope emerged as he heard Kai mention his master.
'If I could learn from the same Master as senior, maybe I could become just as strong. Or at least, I'll have the power to protect myself and not rely on anyone else,' Xia Chen thought to himself.
Waiting anxiously, Kai dialed his Master's number, hoping for a positive response. It rang for what felt like forever until finally, a voice came through the line.
"What's up, kid?" Rick's voice echoed from the phone.
"Rick, do you want to take on a new disciple?" Kai asked eagerly.
"Are you talking about the kid who got his butt kicked earlier?" Rick inquired.
"Has the news reached you already?" Kai questioned, surprised.
"I was actually watching the whole thing and was about to step in, but when I saw you, I thought you could handle it yourself," Rick replied.
"For real?" Kai asked, taken aback.
"Yeah. I'm impressed that you're already at the bodybuilding stage, kid! Hahaha! I thought it would take you a couple of years at least," Rick chuckled.
"I had some unexpected encounters that helped me make this breakthrough," Kai explained.
"Haha! That's fantastic! Luck plays a part in strength too. You're truly something else, kid," Rick said, brimming with pride.
Kai really doesn't care about others, so he just shrugged it off when he got compared to others. "So? Do you want to take him as a student too? He has some guts and determination," Kai nonchalantly remarked.
Rick, on the other hand, was openly uninterested in taking on any more disciples. "I don't take disciples, so no thanks," he responded bluntly.
Confused, Kai pressed further. "Then why did you take me?"
Rick chuckled before answering, "I told you, you're different. I never planned on taking you as a disciple in the first place. I just wanted to teach you how to fight. But, somehow, I got hooked on teaching you. Before I knew it, I had already taught you almost everything there is to know. Hahaha!"
"What do you mean by that? You've been telling me I'm different from others. What's the difference? Am I some kind of genius or something?" Kai asked, hoping for some clarity.
Rick burst into laughter, dismissing the genius notion. "Hahaha! Genius? If that's all it took, I wouldn't be able to teach you everything in just two years."
Sighing, Kai changed the topic. "Never mind. Do you know anyone else who could teach that guy instead?"
Rick paused for a moment, then remembered something. "Now that you mention it, Mr. Zhou is looking for a student. He's getting bored of being a guard, so he wants to take someone."
Kai couldn't help but be surprised. "Mr. Zhou? He knows how to fight too?"
Rick grinned mischievously. "Hey hey! Never judge someone by their appearance. Even though he's a bit on the chubby side, he's also packed with muscles. Trust me, he's a good fighter too."
"Alright then, I'll ask Mr. Zhou later. By the way," Kai hesitated before continuing, "I broke that guy's jaw, so his parents will surely complain. I heard he comes from a well-off family. Any suggestions?"
Rick's laughter filled the air. "You don't need to worry about those measly rich families. I'll send someone to accompany you tomorrow. They'll definitely call you for a meeting and try to punish you. Hahaha!"
Kai felt his irritation rise. "Why are you laughing? Are you happy that your disciple is getting punished?"
Rick quickly corrected him. "No, no, no. I'm laughing because I finally get to see you in action. It's about time for you to show them the power of the awakened dragon. I want you to take care of the delinquents and gangs at Sakura High School as part of your training."
Kai was taken aback by the sudden mission from his master, but then he remembered the world quest. With a newfound determination, he thought to himself, 'Alright then, let's freaking do it! This will only benefit me in the future. I'm going to assemble a force that will help me conquer everything. Starting with the gangs at this school, let's conquer it all. Then I'll take back everything from that bastard and take what he has.'
"How's it going, Senior?" Xia Chen asked with a hopeful tone.
Sorry, but my Master doesn't want to take on another student," Kai said.
"Oh, I see..." Xia Chen murmured, his face falling with disappointment.
"Although my Master doesn't want to take you as a student, someone else is looking for a student, so cheer up. Let's check with him later after class," Kai suggested.
Xia Chen's eyes lit up and he exclaimed, "Really? That's awesome!"
"Yeah… By the way." Kai paused.
"What's up, Senior Brother?" Xia Chen asked curiously.
"I'm planning to build a crew and take over the gang and deliquents in this school. Do you want to join?" Kai proposed.
"R-really? But...are you sure about letting me in? I'm weak," Xia Chen hesitated, but his heart raced with excitement.
"True, you're not the strongest right now, but that won't matter in the long run. Just answer me straight. Do you wanna be part of the crew or not?" Kai pressed again.
"If you're cool with it, Senior Brother, then count me in," Xia Chen declared.
Ding! Xia Chen joined the crew.
"Good! Head to the infirmary now, take a rest and skip the next class. The nurse should be there by now. I'll find you after school," Kai instructed.
"Okay, Senior Brother," Xia Chen nodded and stood up.
With a final bow, he added, "Please take care of my sister, Senior Brother." Then he left, anticipation building in his chest.
