[Thursday - Day 18 - January - 2018]
Once again our routine was repeated, and as usual every day we swapped roles, this time Alfa made lunch and I cleaned the house.
After cleaning the dishes, taking a shower and brushing our teeth - separately of course - we concentrated on our work.
Once again I've decided to write another 10 chapters, plus I plan to read other stories to get some inspiration and study what's hot.
I've already planned the course of my story, but anything that could help me improve it won't be ruled out, besides, it's not like it's going to do me any harm.
So again, we concentrate on our respective jobs.
...
...
...
It's now 5 o'clock in the afternoon, and after finishing my goal for today about an hour ago, I went to read.
I realized that the differences between the stories that are in the Rank and those that aren't are: writing, innovation and launch rate.
In terms of writing, each author has a different way of writing, but there are still four similarities that I noticed between these stories.
The similarities are the characters' personalities, realistic conversations, variations in perspective and world-building.
They show the characters' way of thinking and how they came to the decisions they made, and in the same area there are realistic conversations between characters and between characters and themselves, by which I mean conversations that fit the personalities of the respective characters. It's a very well done and meticulous job, and I say that because of the great variation in characters and personalities, being able to give realism to each one is incredible in its own way.
The variation in perspective in the end comes into its own again. Being able to give vision to each way of thinking is simply incredible and I really don't know if I'll ever be able to give such realism in my stories.
The other aspect I'm more confident about, world-building, giving specific characteristics and customs to each place and still managing to work with them without forgetting each one is something I can do easily. In this case, I do well with details and planning.
As incredible as these stories are, I don't forget that as well as the author there are editors and people who revise the stories, so it ends up being the work of a whole team. It's going to be difficult for me alone to compare myself to a team, but I'm confident of my results, plus I have the capacity of two people.
"Actually four," hearing a voice identical to my own, a small smile forms on my face.
Actually four, I have two bodies with twice the capacity of a normal person.
So it's not really me who has the advantage?
'My golden finger works wonders'
But despite all that, I think it's going to be a bit tricky in the aspect of conversation between characters, at the moment that's the only aspect that's giving me a hard time.
Not that the others aren't difficult, but this one is taking over.
Having a conversation with another person ends up being something natural and it's not something I think about too much, but of course, I don't say the first thing that comes into my head or something that will hurt and cause intrigue, but it's something natural.
For example, if someone says 'good morning' to you, you naturally act in a certain way. By that I mean you have your own nature of doing things, you can answer back, you can nod, you can give a little smile and so on.
In the end there are many ways to act, but the way you act is dictated by how you grew up, how you were taught and by your nature. So giving each of these characteristics to each character ends up being something that's giving me a bit of a headache.
Maybe I'm making things too complicated? Maybe, but it turns out that if I don't draw up a plan I'll end up getting lost later in my own story.
It's not as if I've planned everything, but it's better for me.
For example, it's certainly much more practical and easier to drive a car on a paved road than on a bumpy one. You can drive on both, but it's all about practicality and safety.
With regard to innovation, it's not that all the stories have something totally different from the others or anything like that. Of course, some do and they were the ones who innovated and did it first, but the stories that are currently in the rankings, what stands out is simply the way they work with what they have.
For example, there's one that all started because the protagonist was given a 'System', and yes there are many others with this, but the way the author worked with the system in this story is what was innovative.
Yes, the protagonist became strong because of him and managed to be 'someone' because of him, but in the end he's not the most important thing in the story. And in the course of the story the protagonist even loses this system, thus losing all the strength he had and what made him stand out.
In the end, it's something they have in many other stories, but the way it's worked out in this one simply makes it stand out.
That's something I'm not worried about and I'm very confident in my future ideas for my work.
And what about the release fee?
Do I really have to talk about that?
While some people write at most 4/5 chapters a day, I can write 10 and still have time to do other things.
I'm nothing more and nothing less than the protagonist of a Chinese novel.
'While others are gathering wood, I'm taming dragons' - it's tiring, the amount of repetitive plot, not to mention the writing.
Although I took my time to read, I obviously didn't read all the stories in an hour. The thing is, they're stories I've followed before and I just took the time to catch up and re-read some of what I didn't remember.
I currently have a lot of free time, it's not even evening and I've already finished all my work.
Looking at Alfa I realize that from the moment he started he hasn't stopped and he's full of things to do.
Well, obviously I know everything he's learned and is doing, and without going into details... good luck Alfa.
Since I have a lot of free time and a lot of chapters stored up despite my rate of 4 chapters a day, I decided to start writing 3 more stories in addition to this one.
It takes me about 3 to 4 hours to write 10 chapters, which is an average of 1 chapter every 24 minutes - if you consider that it takes me 4 hours.
In general, I have more than enough time to write another 30 chapters, considering that I stay up until 2am.
So how about I get to work instead of explaining myself.
But now that I stop to think, why did I come up with something that will only lead to more problems and difficulties?
Now that I've started, it's too late to stop, right?
Better to regret doing it than not doing it.
In the end...
'The routine never stops'
...

...
"Why does the most complicated thing always stay with me?" muttered Alpha.
Meanwhile Kael was lying down reading.
