"No telling. I don't really think of the future." Naruto said truthfully, "So far all I'm trying to figure out is how to get on the battlefield. Cause this show monkey shit is trying my patients. I've did everything I can to make it more bearable but I can always disappear and fight how I want to." 

"I honestly don't think they'll ever send you to the battlefield." Peggy replied before she kissed his chin, "When the war is over we should go on a date." 

Peggy got up and began to get dressed, as Naruto sat up, "We'll I'm a very rich man now. I can take you anywhere you want to go." He smiled 

Naruto grabbed his pants and put them on before Peggy turned to speak when sirens were heard and they quickly got dressed before rushing toward the entrance, where a platoon of tired wounded soldiers arrived while an ambulance rolled up to the hospital tent. Corpsmen unloaded the wounded on stretchers

"Hydra?" Naruto asked Peggy

"Not officially." Peggy said frowning 

"Back home, that's a yes." Naruto said

"Schmidt was moving a force through Azzano. 200 hundred men went up against them, less than fifty came back. Your audience contained all that's left of the 107th. The rest were killed or captured."

Dread filled Naruto who looked at her, "The 107th?"

"Yes, what?" Peggy asked 

"That's Bucky's unit." Naruto said walking off 

Colonel Phillips walked out with a stack of condolences letters. When Naruto cut him off with Peggy, "Well, if it isn't "the star spangled man with the plan. What is your plan exactly?" Philips asked smirking

"Azzano. I want to see the casualty list." Naruto said 

Phillips points to the rank insignia on his collar, "You don't give me orders, "Captain."

"I don't need the whole list. Just one name. Sergeant James Barnes from the 107th." Naruto said 

Philips looked at Peggy, "You and I are going to have a conversation later that you won't enjoy."

"Just tell me if he's alive, sir. B-A-R"

"Do not spell at me, son. Far as I'm concerned you're a failed experiment and I don't have to tell you anything. Your show is a spit in the face of real soldiers who live and die on the battlefield. Now I outrank yo-"

"No you don't!" Naruto snapped demonically his eyes glowing red as everyone stopped what they were doing and looked as Philips looked like he was about to shit himself looking at the glowing eyes of Naruto and the sneer on his face, 

"Sir, Rogers is only on loan to the USO. Officially, he is still SSR." Peggy said putting herself between the two as Phillips swallowed as he stared at Naruto who blinked his glowing eyes away, 

"Barnes?" Phillips picked up a thick sheaf of letters, leafing through the first few, "I've signed more condolence letters today than I'd care to count. But the name does sound familiar. I'm sorry."

Everyone watched anxiously what Naruto's next move would be, some reaching for their weapons just in case, Naruto closed his eyes as a tear streamed down his cheek and a cold look appeared on his face and everyone gasped as he rocketed up into the sky kicking up dirt and cracking the ground

Everyone watched him disappear listening to the sonic booms he left in his wake, 

Hydra Factory

Naruto peered out at the guards patrolling the main gate. He couldn't rush in if he wanted to save the soldiers, so he had to take a stealthy approach. He leaned back as headlights swept the road, when three covered trucks rumbled toward the gate. A gate guard checked the drivers' papers. 

Naruto sped onto the truck and killed the two men in the back before they had a chance to see him, 

The trucks roll into the compound, gates closing behind them. Guards hurried out to unload the trucks. At the Las truck,, one guard moved the cover to look inside and beams of heat Vision reduced him to ash, 

Naruto got off the truck and emerged from the darkness. Naruto made his way through the factory sticking to the shadows and killing all the Hydra agents he crossed paths with. 

At the barracks, one guard stood watch as the other led the prisoners inside...A warden opened a cage and prods the prisoner in, "You know, Fritz, one of these days, I'm gonna get my own stick. " The man said only for the warden to viciously kick Dugan inside. Down the row, a hundred more prisoners are trapped in a dozen more cages.

Moments Later

Four prisoners, Falsworth, Jones, Dernier and Dugan slump on the floor of their cage, exhausted. The warder on the upper floor made his rounds and soon as he passed out of sight. A squelch was heard before the headless corpse of the warmer fell and the prisoners stood up away from the blood falling into the cell, before they looked up and saw Naruto getting the keys, 

"And who the hell are you supposed to be?" 

"You're ticket free, unless you want me to leave you here." Naruto said 

"I'm good." Jones said

Naruto freed the soldiers, looking for one person in particular, "What, are we taking everybody?" Dugan asked

"I'm from Fresno, Ace." Morita said 

Naruto frowned as he continued his search of the throng of prisoners, "Are there any others?"

"They did take a number of the men to the isolation ward. I'm afraid we haven't seen them since." Failsworth said 

Naruto considered this as the prisoners gathered round. Finally, he hands them a pistol and grenades, "The tree line's northwest, about 80 yards from the gate. From there, just follow the creek bed. (turning to leave) I'll meet you in the clearing with anybody I find inside."

Naruto urged and before they could stop him a gust of wind caught them off guard as the watched his disappear down the hall, 

It took a moment for the soldiers to regroup after seeing Naruto speed off like that but eventually they did and with a rallying cry rushed forward storming outside and attacking the Hydra soldiers,

Naruto entered the factory, creeping between bombs and crates. Clusters of cartridges bristle inside an unfinished bomb. Naruto raised an eyebrow as he pulled one out, curious, it glowed blue in his hand, "The space stone?" He asked before looking up and putting the cartridge in his pocket and headed for the stars.

Pausing he looked up to the camera watching him as he heard sirens, 

Smichtd looked at Naruto on the camera feed and he watched Naruto smirk before the feed sent out as the camera was destroyed 

A guard put his gun to the back of Naruto's ahead and pulled the trigger only for the bullet to ricochet and go through his throat, Naruto without even looking back jogged off, 

"Doctor, prepare to evacuate." Schmidt said 

"I'm sure our forces can handle-"

"Our forces are outmatched." interrupted Schmidt who pressed a button. Alarms blared inside the factory Zola hurried out of the room 

Schmidt flicked the switches on a line of timers: SELBSTZERSTöRUNG. Each of them starts a countdown. Then he turned, and grabbed the tesseract containment device as it pulsed.. He lowered a titanium case over the cradle

Zola rifles through a filing cabinet in the corner of a tiled room. He gathered a sheaf of documents. 

Naruto reached the corridor and sped into the doorway blocking Zola who looked fearfully into the glowing eyes of Naruto, "Where you going?" Naruto asked as Zola backed away and Naruto entered the room, 

Dugan and Jones in a tank were enjoying destroying the facility and the Hydra soldiers when the tank shifted and they looked back to see Naruto with an unconscious bound Zola and with a nod to them he was gone again, 

Naruto was back in the room ignoring the discarded teeth that belonged to Zola and his blood as well, taking the map on the wall he folded it up carefully after circling where the pins were, hearing groaning, Naruto opened the door, "Barnes, James Buchanan. Sergeant. 32557038"

"Bucky." Naruto zipped into the room finding Bucky strapped to a chair and he proceeded to free him,

 "Who...who is that?" Bucky asked

Naruto slapped Bucky who was looking around in a daze, "It's me, Nate." Naruto said

"Nate. You made it buddy." Bucky said Naruto laughed as he helped Bucky up, 

The two walked out into the hall where they encountered Schmidt, "Hello Captain. I'm a huge fan of your movies." 

Naruto's eyes narrowed and as the man took a step forward heat vision grazed his face causing him to gasp and peeled his face from the bone revealing a red skull he grinned as Bucky and Naruto looked at him, 

'You don't have one of those, do you?"

"God no." Naruto said before he looked to Schmidt and fired off rays of heat vision again causing Schmidt to scramble into the secret door yelling as his shoulder was grazed before an explosion blew the door making sure no one could follow him, 

Naruto sucked his teeth, "You missed."

"We'll I don't get a lot of practice with heat vision." Naruto said before he flew through the ceiling fist first making a hole for him and Bucky to pass through, floating as Bucky clutched onto him, Naruto began to use his heat vision to destroy the base,and kill as many HYDRA agents as he saw, 

U.S. CAMP, Philips Tent 

Phillips stared out his window, stoic, "Senator Brandt, I regret to report that Captain Nathan Rogers went missing behind enemy lines on the 3rd of last week." He said before he looked down to read the rough draft on his notepad. He was dictating to the corporal, "Aerial reconnaissance has proven unfruitful. As a result, I must declare Captain Rogers killed in action.

The corporal stopped typing. Phillips turned to see Peggy standing in the door, red-eyed and tired, "The last surveillance flight is back." Peggy said walking forward and laying down aerial pictures of the disintegrated Hydra camp, "No sign of activity."

Phillips gazed at the photos then he looked at the corporal, "Corporal. Why don't you go get a cup of coffee?" The corporal nodded and left the room, "I can't touch Stark. He's a civilian...and the Army's number one weapons contractor. You're neither." 

"You'll have my resignation in the morning."

"I can probably make it so that you'll avoid a court martial."

"With respect, sir, I don't regret my actions. And I doubt Captain Rogers did, either. James Buchana was the only family he had, and your choice of words could've set him off and you'd be dead right now. I had faith in him and Erskine's work." 

A commotion builds outside and Philips frowned,, "What the hell's going on out there?" They look and see soldiers running by the window. He and Peggy move

closer to look. Phillips and Peggy step outside to see dozens of soldiers part, Naruto and Bucky walking up the road leading a squad of P.O.W. 's with ragtag vehicles carrying the rest, and a beat up Zola being dragged by his ankle by Naruto.

G.I. 's cheered, more came running. Hodge steps out of the barracks, drying his hair. He stopped stunned as an amazed Phillips looked to a smiling Peggy who wiped away tears, 

Naruto held up Zola by the ankle dangling him in midair, as he saluted Phillips, "Colonel, some of these men need medical attention."

Phillips looks at the gaunt faces of the men. He nodded and medics rushed in to help the P.O.W. 's, "Meet Johann Schmidt right hand man Almond Soda." 

"Armon Zola."'Zola corrected

"Whatever." Naruto said dropping him on his head, "I'd like to surrender myself for disciplinary action." He said to Phillips who knew he knew that there was nothing they could do to him, 

"That won't be necessary." Phillips turns to Peggy, smiling wryly, "Faith, huh?"

Peggy looked at Naruto who smiled at her which she returned, 

Naruto had finally got what he wanted. His tour was canceled and he was gearing up for war, he even got some head from Philip's secretary who thought the women of America owed him their thanks and he wasn't one to turn down the gratitude of others. What should've taken 2 years only took 3 months, Naruto and his squad with the help of Peggy and Howard wiped Hydra forces out in droves, Zola had finally cracked under pressure telling them where to find the main Hydra base. 

Naruto burst from a cloud, with 6 Hydra Parasites armed with Tesseract-powered cannons, and bombs. With a barrel roll he dodged the blue beams of energy, before he flipped around and one of the HYDRA Parasites zoomed by but he caught it by one of the propellers and used it as a bat and slammed it into another, turning his head he looked through the flames and rays of heat vision split 3 more parasites in two when a blast struck him sending him out of the sky, 

Naruto crashed into the ground, Hydra tanks and agents surrounded the crater finding Naruto unconscious and quickly they grabbed him, 

Naruto was marched through the base and into RED Skull's office, with a titanium mask over his face to prevent him from using his heat vision, "Tomorrow, Hydra will stand master on the world, borne to victory on the wings of the valkyrie. Our enemies' weapons will be powerless against us. If they shoot down one plane, hundreds more shall rain fire upon them. If they cut off one head...Two more shall take its place!" 

Red Skull turned to Naruto, "Arrogance may not be a uniquely American trait...but I will say you do it better than anyone else." Skull leaned in, teeth gleaming in his crimson face, "There are limits to what even you can do, Captain. Or did Erskine tell you otherwise?"

"He told me you were insane. That seemed like enough." Naruto said through the mask,

"He resented my genius and tried to deny me what was rightfully mine. Yet he gave you everything. What made you so special?"

Naruto scoffed, "You sound like some dame he fucked and didn't call back." 

Skull seethed and punched Naruto in the gut causing him to kill over. The guards grip Naruto's arms, holding him up as Red Skull punched him in the torso repeatedly. After a long time, Skull stepped back. Naruto wheezing could be heard 

"You hit like a dame.' Naruto laughed 

SKull pulled his Luger and aimed it at Naruto before he saw the titanium glowing and gasped as he was kicked in the chest, as the glass shattered and Naruto's squad entered, 

Naruto looked to his right as heat vision blasted out of the mask through the man's head killing him, the other man gasped as he tried to run but Naruto held his shirt and lifted him off the ground while removing the titanium mask and tossing it, 

Naruto with a light push sent the man out the window off the mountain, 

"We're in. Go! Go! Go!" Morita yelled into the radio, as Naruto looked and saw Red Skull missing and narrowed his eyes, before he rushed out

Up top, Allied soldiers opened fire, pouring into the compound

Skull ran down a corridor, jackboots pounding. Before he turned and saw Naruto coming and shot him causing Naruto to grunt as he was sent flying back into a wall, Skull frowned seeing he wasn't incinerated like others were and rushed off,

Naruto hissed laughing at the pain, he was in from the Infinity stone powered Luger, 

Schmidt raced past an intersecting corridor as he dashed through a doorway and hit a button, blast doors closed behind him, 

Naruto joined down the corridor as his wound stitched itself back close,, when a Hydra flame trooper stomped out of the intersecting corridor, blocking his way.. The flame trooper

raised his twin guns. 

Blue fire flickered from the trooper's nozzles as Naruto smirked,, before the trooper staggered as the tank on the troopers back exploded, Bucky and Peggy stepped out of the corridor with rifles, "You're late" He said to the two,

 "Tell me you're not complaining." Bucky said with a raised eyebrow 

Naruto shook his head and ran off and burst through the blast door without effort, as Bucky and Peggy went with the troops to complete their mission, 

Inside the bomber, dim monitors line an impressive cockpit. A high-tech cradle stood in the center. Skull approached, carrying the titanium box. He placed it over the cradle and dispensed the Tesseract. Blue circuits flash and lights and gauges flicker.

Naruto burst into the runway to see the massive plane take off and he flew after the plane 

"Let's end this." Naruto said before going hyper sonic and as he was about to crash into the plane he was tackled causing him to grunt 

Rolling to his feet sliding back, Naruto looked to see a glaring Ikarus, "This is against our orders." He said 

Naruto raised an eyebrow, "You all left 2 centuries after I did. Do you still obey orders? How pathetic." 

"Me, you're the one who takes orders from humans." 

"That's a personal reason, and it's not like they can force me to do anything. Just like you can't. That's the beauty of having freewill." 

"We live to serve Arishem's will." Ikarus said 

"Fuck Arishem." Naruto said 

Ikarus blasted Naruto with his yellow heat vision and it was met with the red heat vision of Naruto,

Ikarus grimaced as he was being pushed back before he got out of the way from the beams and looked to Naruto who's fist slammed into his face sending him flying back before his leg was grabbed and he was pulled into Naruto who covered his eyes and grabbed his neck, 

Naruto's RinneSharingan manifested before he used the Asura path to manifest another set of arms before he punched a fist into Ikarus chest causing him to flinch and thrash in major pain, Naruto gripped the battery that served as an Eternal's heart and began to drain it,

Ikarus thrashing began to grow weaker until he sealed and his body began to age at a rapid pace, before Narutoremoved the core and dropped the old corpse of Ikarus and a black orb appeared behind him and reduced the body to ash, 

Holding the core Naruto held it to his chest and it sank into his body causing his bangs to raise like horns, momentarily. With a smirk Naruto bent his legs and shot back after the plane, 

Naruto made it to see parasites with cities written on them leaving and his heat vision caused them to explode before he crashed down into the cockpit on the plane, and kicked Skull out of the chair into the control panel causing it to malfunction and the Skull looked at him before heat vision slammed into his chest and struck the tesseract,

Red skull was reduced to ash as the containment device failed and the tesseract began to spark, frowning Naruto reached forward and grabbed it he grunted as the energy was absorbed into his skin and he closed the portal that was forming tossing the Infinity stone, Naruto looked at his hand finding it unhurt before he looked to see the cube burn its way through the shit and fall to the fuselage.

Naruto climbed into the chair and the control stick steered automatically. Naruto gaining control tried to alter course but the ship refused, .Naruto stared at the monitor and green map of Manhattan

"No better time than any." Naruto said looking around, 

Hydra HQ

The radio squawks in the empty control room, "Agent Carter, come in…"

Peggy ran in and grabbed the radio, frantic and relieved, "Nathan, is that you? Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Schmidt is dead. The plane is a little harder to explain."

"Give me your coordinates. I'll find a landing site119."

"There isn't going to be a landing. Schmidt's locked the navigation system." Naruto said as he looked at the relined engine gauges in front of him, "And there's more than enough power to reach the East Coast."

Peggy looked grave before she waved Colonel Phillips and Bucky down, "I'll get Howard on the line. He'll know what to do."

"I'm sitting on a hundred tons of explosives. Hotwiring this thing's not an option." Naruto said as he looked out the window at the vast, blue expanse of ocean, a clone appeared behind him and took off, "I've got to put her in the water."

Peggy spread her fingers on the wall, her knuckles white, "But you said you couldn't steer it."

Naruto scanned the control panel as he spotted a thick cable running from the ignition to the engines, "I can't. But I think I can crash it." He reached over and yanked the cable out causing sparks to flare, 

The engine stopped and the plane went quiet, 

"Nathan, don't do this. We've got time. We can figure this out." 

"I already did. Right now, I'm in the middle of nowhere. If I wait any longer, a lot of people are going to get hurt or worse." 

"Nate,"

"Buck, looks like we have to take a raincheck on that drink. But I'm sure Connie would like another date." Naruto smiled as Bucky chuckled tears in his eyes, 

"Sure, I'd get a lot of sympathy points." Bucky said 

"Peggy, "

"We'll send out rescue ships. We'll find you." Peggy said

"Okay, when I'm all healed up we'll go dancing." 

"All right. Next week Saturday. The Stork Club."

"Okay. You got it." 

"8:00 on the dot. If you're three minutes late I'm leaving, do you understand?" Peggy said

"We'll dance the entire night.." Naruto said 

"Just be there." Peggy said 

"Maybe the band could play something slow, I'd hate to step on your-"

Bucky covered his face as the radio went silent. Colonel Phillips put a hand on her shoulder. She just stared out the hanger at the blue sky beyond,

The plane skid violently across a glacier. It careened off the edge and crashed into an icy lake. The plane floated a moment, then started to sink. 

Naruto sat against the wall he had been knocked into from the crash and entered sage mode, as freezing water rushed in, and we went into a deep hibernation, 

The day after the crash, the allies won the war. Everyone was relieved except for those who lost someone in the war, 

Stork Club 

Peggy sat at the bar nursing her drink before she sighed and stood up, and left the club, but as she did she saw a finger in a trench coat standing under the street light, the figure took off his fedora revealing messy blonde hair smiling,

Peggy rushed across the street in tears, and threw herself into Naruto who chuckled, "You're alive!" She laughed sniffling, 

"Not exactly." Naruto said, causing Peggy to back away, "The boss made me before the crash, he wants me to explain some things." 

Peggy nodded hesitantly before the two got into her car and she drove home while Naruto explained everything to her, the Infinity stones, the celestials, eternals all of it and what the original Naruto was doing at this point in time. 

With Naruto

To Naruto it was like he was bathing in the sun, when he suddenly felt his consciousness be ripped from him, "What are you doing Neres?!" 

Naruto turned and saw Arishem and he smirked, "Evolving." He said before Arishem's eyes glowed before a yellow light shined from above, 

The mental projection of Naruto and Arishem looked up and saw a three faced being in golden armor floating down, "Leave him Arishem. His destiny is bigger than your plans for him."

"Tiamut must emerge."

"If your Eternals can stop him from killing Tiamut fine, but you will have no part in it. Your control of this being is over."

Naruto laughed, "And you." The Living Tribunal said, causing Naruto to stop, "Tiamut has been in Earth's core before humans were on land. If you drain him too quickly you will risk the destruction of the planet. I caution restraint."

"Got it." Naruto said before his conscious was violently pushed back, 

Naruto remained in mediation and stopped absorbing the power of the Celestial, his eyes snapped opened and a ceiling was what he saw, 

Sitting up, Naruto looked around, he saw that he was in a quiet, 1940s room. The sun shined through white curtains. The Dodgers game plays on an old vacuum tube radio on a wooden dresser, 

"Workman up for the Phillies, now. Holding that big club down at the end. He sets, Chipman pitches. Curveball, outside. Ball one."

Naruto slid his bare feet to the worn, wooden floor, before a red-haired woman entered, "Good morning." She folded a copy of The Brooklyn Eagle and checked her watch, "Or I should say, afternoon."

"I don't...remember going to sleep." Naruto said 

"Well, it was quite a while ago." The SSR agent said 

Naruto rubbed his face, as the radio played, ""So the Dodgers are ahead eight to five. And Chipman knows one swing of the bat and this fella's capable of making it a brand new game."

Naruto eyed the radio, taking a long look at it before he looked at the agent, "How long have I been out?" He asked in Russian

The woman's eyes widened and pressed her panic button, Naruto stood up, his eyes glowing, "Captain Rogers." The woman said raising her empty hand

A large, menacing man in strangely modern garb rushed into the room with a set of metal restraints, Naruto sneered, and the red haired woman pushed the man out the way as heat vision blew the door away and the wall, 

"You dodged. Impressive." Naruto smirked, before more men rushed in

"Captain Rogers, stop!" The red haired woman said with a gun aimed at Naruto who ignored her his eyes glowing brighter before she shot him in the head and the bullet ricochet and everyone flinched as Naruto looked at her before catching an arrow that exploded in his face,

Unharmed Naruto looked at the man and smiled before he shot forward, "Nathan!" Naruto's hand stopped an inch from the man's face and he looked over to see an old woman with a cane walk over to him, 

"You wake up and are about to kill the people who helped you?" She said, Naruto looked at the woman and the bald black dude with an eye patch behind her before she was standing before him, "You haven't aged a day." 

"Peggy?" Naruto asked causing her to smile, and nod, 

"It's been nearly 70 years, Captain." The man said 

"Who are you?" Naruto asked 

"Colonel Fury, Director of SHIELD. You would have known us as the Special Scientific Reserve.

Naruto's eyes narrowed, "Where am I?" 

"Roundabout 34th and 5th. Sorry about that little show back there. See, there's no precedent for what you've been through. We couldn't tell how delicate your mental state might be. We thought it best to break it to you slowly."

"Your idea?" Naruto asked Peggy 

"God no," Peggy smiled shaking her head

"What about the war? Did we win?" 

"Hell, yes. Unconditional surrender, baby. And taking down HYDRA was a big part of that." Nick said

"The main part." Peggy said 

"Know I'm probably not going to like this but where's Bucky?" Naruto asked looking at Peggy who frowned

"That's a long story." Peggy said 

"You don't mind my asking, what gave us away back there?" Nick asked

"I went down in '43. You were playing a game I attended in '41, and I know everyone in SSR. Beautiful redhead was a nice touch though." Naruto said, Peggy stabbed her Cane on his foot causing him to smile, "I'm hungry. Would you join me and tell me what exactly I've missed and what happened to Bucky." 

Peggy nodded, and wrapped her arm around his bicep before Naruto escorted her out, "Sir, we need to-"

"Don't care. I've been trapped in ice for 70 years, I'd say I gave enough for the country." Naruto and Peggy left as Nick sighed before he looked to a scientist,

"Any luck getting a sample." 

'The diamond cutter failed sir. We couldn't get any blood samples. We couldn't even cut his hair." The scientist said causing Fury to sigh.
