The fire in Jamee's eyes blazed hotter, the anger roiling through his body until it exploded in a roar that rattled the walls. "YOU!" He lunged from the bed, his movements fast, almost too fast to track. He was a blur of rage and strength, and before Cass could react, his fist was flying toward Uriel's face.
"Lyra!" Uriel barked, shoving Cass's weakened body toward his sister just as Jamee's punch connected. The force of the blow sent Uriel crashing through the wall, debris and dust raining down from the impact as if the house itself trembled beneath Jamee's rage.
