As the two were talking, they didn't notice the sharp gaze observing them.
"You're right, Michael, we're in a forest now. It's just puzzling how we ended up here and why it's bright instead of dark," Michael said.
"Guys, aren't you wondering? What if we're in an experimental site?" Justine asked.
Michael thought for a moment, holding his chin before answering, "I think we're in a different world," Michael replied.
"Huh? Are you going crazy? We didn't die to be reincarnated in another world," Justine sarcastically responded.
"I think Michael is right," Xyrus interjected.
"How can you say that we're in another world and not in an experimental site?" Justine asked, pouting.
"Well, first of all, the abandoned house isn't large enough to accommodate these towering trees, and secondly, even though the trees are blocking the sun, I can feel the warmth of the sun on my skin," Michael answered.
"And besides, you don't have to die to be reincarnated in another world. Maybe there's an entity or a god that summoned us to this world to save it," Xyrus added.
"Are you crazy, Xyrus? I thought you didn't believe in God? And how did you come up with the idea that we were summoned by some entity to this world when we didn't feel anything? And where are you getting all these ideas from!?" Justine frowned as she questioned Xyrus.
'i'm your friend, and you're siding with this jerk michael? Hmmmp!' Justine complained to herself about Xyrus.
Xyrus didn't answer Justine for a few seconds before he averted his gaze from her. His face showed an awkward and shy expression before he spoke, "I like reading novels and watching anime..."
"And to answer your question about why we didn't feel anything when we arrived in this place, do you remember when we entered the abandoned house and something flashed in our eyes, causing us to close and cover them? Maybe that's the reason why we ended up in this place," Michael replied to Justine's question.
"Okay, Michael, you have a point. But my question now is... Xyrus! You're an otaku!? Why didn't I know about this? Why didn't you tell me? We could have been watching anime together at home if you had told me!" Justine shouted, her eyes sparkling like a biologist who had just discovered a new species.
BANG!
"Shhh, be quiet, you fucking fool! We're in the forest now! Don't attract unnecessary attention!" Michael scolded Justine for shouting, as he tapped her on the head.
"OUCH! That hurt! And besides, you shouldn't be hurting me because I'm a girl! Xyrus, do something! This idiot just hit me in the head! Do justice for me!" Justine's eyes showed signs of tears.
Upon seeing the situation, Xyrus didn't immediately react. He needed a moment to process what had happened. But once Justine finished speaking, he took action.
"Dude, there's no need for that. You know Justine is a girl, and can't you talk to her before resorting to something that could hurt her?" Xyrus confronted Michael, who was taller than him due to being a sports enthusiast, especially because he play basketball. Xyrus had height at 5'2, while Michael is 5'4. In the Philippines, those heights are considered tall for 15-16-year-olds. The shortest among them is Justine, who stands at 4'9.
They were filled with anxiety about what would emerge from the foliage. They were frozen in fear, unsure of what to do in that moment. Fear enveloped them.
After a few more seconds...
Poof!
A small white creature emerged, resembling a squirrel but with white fur and pitch-black eyes that reflected the light like a universe. Its tail, although slightly bushy, was ash-colored.
As the white squirrel emerged from the grass, it first surveyed its surroundings. Upon noticing the three beings in front of it, it paused to observe them. But as it sensed no threat from them, it quickly moved away from where it came from, after observing them.
Upon seeing the squirrel, their fear subsided. Justine, in particular, looked amazed by the white squirrel, her eyes filled with wonder.
As Justine approached the squirrel and observed it closely, the squirrel sensed her intention and moved away slightly. However, as it distanced itself from Justine, it suddenly felt a sense of danger coursing through its body, causing its fur to stand on end.
Before the squirrel could even run away, something grabbed its neck and bite it.
"Eeek! Eeek! Eeek!"
You could hear the squirrel crying out in distress.
And lets describe what monster the saw right now.
It has a long fang between uts moth and its like a giant cat.
