It was already evening when Justine finished cooking the roasted lamb. They also set up a tent.
While Justine was starting the fire, Xyrus gathered some dead branches, and Michael set up their tent. It was their first time doing this, but with the temporary memory given to them, they were able to create a fire and set up the tent.
They didn't have a lighter in their inventory, but they had various other items, such as the sword used by Michael, the bow and arrows used by Justine, and Xyrus used a rope. But out of all the mentioned items, they had them. They also had other items in their inventory, like cooking utensils, spice, clothing, and the tent.
Michael also searched for three seats. Once he found them, he asked for Xyrus' help to place the stone seats. Xyrus then suggested that they create a circular arrangement around the campfire so that they could keep an eye on each other while eating and protect themselves from any potential predators. This would also give them a more authentic camping experience.
With everything ready and as they were about to eat, Justine asked the two of them, "What do people usually do when camping?"
"I don't know. Maybe storytelling? It's my first time camping, so I don't know much," Xyrus replied before taking a bite of the roasted lamb.
Michael, on the other hand, took two bites of the lamb before answering, "Storytelling and stargazing."
"Alright, let's do storytelling then! Who wants to go first?" Justine asked eagerly, but none of them raised their hands. They didn't want to be the first to tell a story.
Justine's face pouted and she sighed. She then grabbed a water bottle from her inventory. "Since no one wants to volunteer, we'll choose using this bottle. Whoever the opening points to when it stops will be the one to tell the story next time." Justine didn't say anything more and immediately spun the bottle. When it stopped, the bottle was pointing towards Xyrus.
As the bottle pointed towards Xyrus, his mouth twitched involuntarily.
"Alright, guys, what kind of story do you want to hear?" Xyrus asked the two of them.
Michael didn't respond to Xyrus' question and continued eating the roasted lamb. Justine, on the other hand, raised her hand, indicating that she had a suggestion.
"Me! Me!! Why don't you just tell us your favorite story!" Justine suggest before taking another bite of the roasted lamb. When Xyrus saw how quickly Justine was devouring the lamb, he couldn't help but swallow hard, wondering if this girl had no sense of fullness.
"My favorite story? It's quite long... I'm afraid the fire will istinguish first and my throat might get sore before I finish telling the story," Xyrus hesitated, expressing his concerns.
"I don't care! The important thing is that we listen, right Michael?" Justine asked Michael, who remained silent while eating.
"Oh, he agreed! Start telling the story now!" Justine urged Xyrus.
Xyrus's lips twitched again, silently complaining to himself, "He didn't say anything!"
"Sigh... Alright," Xyrus reluctantly said.
Then xyrus began to tell his favorite story
"In a mystical land, a divine stone absorbed the essence of heaven and earth, giving birth to an extraordinary monkey named Sun Wukong. From the moment he emerged, it was clear that he possessed immense power and intelligence.
As Sun Wukong grew, he discovered his abilities surpassed those of his fellow monkeys. With his unruly nature and insatiable curiosity, he quickly became their leader. The monkeys revered him as their king, and he ruled over them with a mix of playfulness and authority.
Seeking a place to call home, Sun Wukong embarked on a quest to find the perfect sanctuary. After a long journey, he stumbled upon the hidden Water Curtain Cave, concealed behind a magnificent waterfall. The cave's enchanting beauty captivated him, and he knew he had found his kingdom.
Within the Water Curtain Cave, Sun Wukong's powers flourished. He trained tirelessly, mastering the art of shape-shifting and acquiring incredible strength and combat skills. His subjects marveled at his abilities and hailed him as the Monkey King.
As the Monkey King, Sun Wukong protected his monkey subjects and defended the Water Curtain Cave from any threat. His mischievous nature often led him into adventures and battles, but his bravery and wit always prevailed.
Under his rule, the monkeys thrived, living harmoniously in the sanctuary of the Water Curtain Cave. Sun Wukong's reign as the Monkey King became legendary, and his story would echo through the ages as he embarked on his epic journey to seek enlightenment and protect his master on the sacred quest for the Buddhist scriptures.
This is the story of how Sun Wukong was born and became the Monkey King, ruling over the monkeys in the majestic Water Curtain Cave, a tale of power, adventure, and a destiny that would shape the realms...."
"Wait wait wait! So wukong has a story? Why I didn't know that? So every champion in the league of legend has a legendary story in our world?"
Justine asked Xyrus a question, seemingly confused about something. Xyrus's question was whether there are legends in the world about the champions in League of Legends. Xyrus admitted that he wasn't sure, but mentioned that the only champion he knew with a real-life story was Wukong. He also speculated that other champions might have their own stories, like Garen possibly being connected to the legend of King Arthur in real life. Both of them were perplexed by the potential connections between the champions and real-life legends.
"Well, you're both idiots. That's why it's called League of Legends, because it draws inspiration from legends in our world! You idiots," Michael playfully snort as he savored the last piece meat of lamb.
when they hear the response of michael justine is angry and she was about to retort back but xyrus enterupted her
"Anyway, let's get back to the story..." Xyrus continued his narration of 'Journey to the West' for the next two hours. Yes, the story of 'Journey to the West' is long, but he condensed it. As he finished telling the story, the fire died down, and they had finished their meal. Xyrus's throat was also starting to feel sore.
