They arrived at their destination. Austin was sure that Max didn't want to speak about what happened on the road, so he let it be. He was worried about his sanity, but at the same time he knew that given time, the teenager would eventually come to his senses.
Max looked at the gates in front of him. They were so high that without a long ladder, nobody could see what secrets were inside.
"Headmaster, do you have something to hide?"
"What?"
Max pointed at the wall and gates like it was obvious what he was talking about. Austin smiled, he expected this, but at the same time, it was still funny for him.
"You will see at some point."
This vague answer made Max raise an eyebrow. He had no idea what Austin was saying. Somehow he felt like danger was ahead of him and at the same time he was curious. Curious about what was inside, and why Austin smiled like he wanted to give him a present.
After the gates opened, he could see nothing at first because of the sunlight. After some seconds, all he saw was a garden, and far ahead of him were some buildings, he thought that he could see five in total, but he didn't think that after those, there was an arena.
The students were everywhere, and they were all watching him like he was a monkey that came from the zoo. Max could hear some of them gossiping about him, saying things like "Who is he? Is he the headmaster's child?" or "Look at him, walking like he belongs here. Why is the headmaster bringing someone like him here? He won't survive a week."

Max was shocked by what he saw. "What? Enemy? Is the system referring to the one who was rude earlier?"
~~~ Power analyzed. Moderate threat ~~~
~~~ Legacy of Speed Warrior Mage ~~~
~~~ Level: Low ~~~
"Wait, aren't the ones with Legacies supposed to be from rich families? Looking at his clothes, he isn't that kind of person. Why does he have a Legacy, and why is he here? Is he the only one?"
~~~ Results: almost 95% of the people close to 2km are with Legacies ~~~
"...." Max didn't know what to think. First of all, he didn't have a Legacy that he knew of. Second, the system helped him with what looked like an impossible job. Third of all, he asked himself, where did Austin bring him?
"Austin, where exactly..."
The man put his hand in front of him and told him in a way that only the 2 of them could hear his words.
"Do not call me here like that casually. Don't be naive, I am sure you already heard them. If they hear you being friendly with me, you will just make your life from now on a lot harder."
"Oh...ok. Headmaster, please tell me what is this place?"
"You will find soon enough."
"Again with that kind of answer. Can u be more vague when answering?"
He accepted the fact that Austin wouldn't tell him anything. Only if the man knew that Max already found out that almost all of the people there had Legacies, he would tell the teenager his big surprise.
After walking for 5 minutes, the 2 of them were in front of a building that had graved on the doors the words "Mystic Academy for Legacy Holders".
His jaw dropped to the ground. He expected this, but it was still a shock for him.
"Headmaster....Austin, what is this? And cut the bullshit."
"Mister Deth. Please watch your language. You are talking to your headmaster!"
Max started to feel some kind of pressure that was making him feel like he shouldn't even exist in front of the man. It was overwhelming for him, but at the same time, he was feeling something inside him that was trying to resist.

While reading the system notifications, his calm composure from before was nowhere to be seen. He started to look at the headmaster with fearful eyes like he knew that the man could kill him anytime.
"Hmmm. Interesting, truly interesting. Huh...hahaha"
The child was confused. The pressure he felt was gone and the man in front of him started to laugh.
"You are something unique. You resisted for a moment there. But at the same time, it hurts me to see this. I wonder how hurt you are that you resisted for a moment like you don't even care if you live or die."
Austin whispered the last part. He didn't want to make his new student worried.
"Anyway, take this map and look at the class B3. That is the place you need to go right now. I wish you all the luck in the world."
And just like that, the man ran away. It seemed like he was in a hurry to be somewhere else, but he truly cared for Max. He knew that if he accompanied him, the young man would have a difficult time in his new high school.
"He isn't just vague, but a bad headmaster too."
Even if he was disappointed, he was more interested in what his system was showing.
~~~ New function created ~~~
~~~ Map can be found at the menu ~~~
When he tried to think about a map, he saw that there was one right in front of him.
"This system is starting to become my friend. Let's see what you can do. Point me to class B3."
Just like that, the system chose the shortest road to class B3. He saw that he needed to walk through a library, some random rooms without a name, then follow the path with a short corridor that led to a big room. Then after a door, he would find class B3.
"I guess you are useful after all. I guess I need to get going. It will be...interesting."
And this is how his story started, little did the teenager know that he was going towards his doom.
