Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Blood Test

Erin groaned. 'Come on! It's the only thing I have access to in here! Plus it's so smooth yet bumpy...' I raised my index finger to express my seriousness as I responded. "Get your metaphysical dick out of my brain's ass this instant, young man!" Molly started blinking repeatedly but I didn't notice. 'Ugh. Fine. But this is coming out of your impulse control.' I rolled my eyes. "I can handle that." Molly then snapped her fingers a few times to get my attention. "Hey. Stay with me. What the hell is going on in there?" I felt a chill of disgust and avoided eye contact with her. "Honestly. I have no idea. At least my anxiety is down while they're distracted."

"That's good, so do you think you can handle the scientists bringing in the blood test and just setting it beside you?" My anxiety started to rise again, but only a little. "I guess." After a few minutes, a researcher placed the needle and vile on the empty seat next to me and I looked at it for a moment. I then turned my head to look straight ahead as I stood up casually. "I just remembered. I don't have to do this. I'm going home now. Bye."

I flipped off everyone from behind as I walked to the door until Molly stopped me from leaving. "Kane! Wait. Don't go. You're our only hope. You're... My only hope." I turned to her and found that looking at her was a mistake. Her eyes were sparkling and her lips were plump as she bit the bottom one. 'That clever bitch. She knows what she's doing too!' Erin exclaimed. I couldn't believe that she was returning my manipulation tactic and it was working.

My cheek twitched in restraint before I walked back to the chair I was sitting in before. "Fine. But I'm going to need some incentive. There's not much point in doing this for a taken woman." Molly shrugged and crossed her arms. "Name your price." I smirked. "Break up with Pinball." Molly uncrossed her arms in irritation. "You mean James? His name isn't that hard to remember! And no, I'm not going to break up with him!" I shrugged one shoulder. "It was worth a shot. Well, I guess the alternative price would be if you answered me a question."

Molly was still irritated but answered anyway. "Shoot." My face fell serious and her annoyance faded. "What exactly do you plan on doing with me after I give you the antidote?" She was silent for a moment. "I'm not sure I follow." I sighed. "After you get my precious blood, are you just going to tell me to go home?" Molly shook her head. "Of course not. I've seen what you can do, Hank will no doubt offer you a position in the settlement. A new way of thinking is just what this place needs. Even if it's you know... Really out there." I laughed a little to myself. 'She sure has back-handed compliments down,' John said. I looked at Molly who was sitting next to me as beautiful as ever and the thought of working beside her made me become lost in the clouds again. "That sure sounds fun."

After a while, James came into the room again but I was too distracted to notice. He walked up to us and turned to Molly curiously. "I came to see what's taking so long." Molly had an uneasy expression and her eyes went to me. Her gaze turned James's attention to me who had grabbed a scientist by the collar and pulled him down to my height as he clutched the blood test in his hands. "Decapitate me!!! Take any of my fingers! Just don't go near me with that needle!!" The poor man in my grasp shook in fear as if his legs were made of putty and Molly pulled me back by the arm. I let go of the poor man and she scolded me once my attention was on her. "We were making progress! What happened?"

I sighed. "I don't know, every time I think about a needle I just freak out." Molly looked straight into my eyes and I could feel a blush rise in my face as she did it. "Then only think about me." Erin was immediately on board. 'We have permission people! Here are all the images I can think of with Molly in slutty outfits and trying to cover herself but failing miserably!' I couldn't stop the flow of crudeness to my imagination and the ideas made me smile evilly as I leaned closer to her. Her expression changed to surprise and realization that she had made a mistake. I started to buzz with excitement but before I could start feeling my heartbeat in my dick I felt a pinch in my arm.

My smile became shock as I remembered that I had left my arm unattended on the armrest next to me. 'It's a needle!! Turn around right now and strangle whoever you see first!!!' John yelled. I was about to do as he said when Molly grabbed my face and turned my head back to her. "Focus on me, Kane." As much as I wanted to break through the wall with whoever I saw holding a needle in me, I couldn't resist the warmth of her hands. She was so commanding and feisty, all I wanted to do was tame her fire and make it mine. The feeling started to fade as I felt more pain from the extraction of blood, but I tried my best to hold out and ignore the screams in my head again.

Suddenly, there was a release of tension as I felt the needle leave my body and I exhaled in exhaustion. I decided not to turn around until I knew that whoever had stabbed me would be forever unknown. I lifted my head and Molly smiled at me. "You did it. I'm so proud of you." I returned her smile and James scoffed. "You can let go of him now." She took her hands off me and I gave James a quick glare before feeling someone else touching my arm again. I looked over to see a researcher dabbing the place where they put the needle in me with a soft cotton ball. 'Huh. None of the people who tortured you ever did that. It feels nice,' Mary said, sweetly.

"What are you doing?" I asked. The researcher looked up at me nervously and finished swabbing my arm. "Um, I was just disinfecting the wound. What type of bandage would you like to cover it up?" They took a paper box from off of the counter and showed me that the inside was organized with different kinds of band-aids in each section. I stared in awe and Molly leaned in from behind. "Ooo, why don't you get the one with the cute little bears on it?" I rolled my eyes. "Pff. I'm a man. I will take the dinosaur one, please." As the researcher placed my selected band-aid on my cut James was utterly confused. "You know regular band-aids were an option, right?"

I ignored him and looked at my cute bandage in admiration. I had never gotten such a prize when I was experimented on. They usually just let me bleed out until I stopped. And forget about disinfectant. 'Aw, look at that little stegosaurus in the middle. Who knew good could come from a needle, eh John?' Erin asked, hopefully. John hesitated. 'Fine. It's cute. But don't act like you weren't screaming just as much as me, Erin.'
