Chapter 5 - Six Years Ago...!

"Mom, I'm going..!"

"Eric! I forgot to say, will you be late today..?"

"Why? I'm not sure about that."

"Today, I'm visiting your dad."

"Today? Why? I mean, all of a sudden."

"He is bringing him, Jamie."

"Oh..uh...yuh! I would be there. But can I bring her, Sarah?"

"Of course! Dear, I would love that. Yes, you can...! "Please tell her my wish for six more years of love with you."

"Yeah! Thanks, Mom. Okay, time to go. See you! Love you, Mom."

"Love you to gem!"

Today, on our sixth anniversary, I'm asking her to marry me and spend the rest of my life with me. We had planned to meet at the crosswalk where we first met six years ago.

But before that, I'm gonna text her this weird text that Jeff had told me! But I'm not going to do that because it kinda sucks.

So, I picked up my phone and made a call for Jeff Anton!

"What's up, dude! Are you done there or what."

"I'm driving here! Are you sure about this man? Texting this weird, long, cheesy text...

Im sure she is gonna puke when she sees this. I know her."

"Trust me. This will work."

"No, Im not going to do this even if you say she would kiss me right after reading this.

Hey, I just called you to vent about something.

My mom's visiting my dad today.

And guess who's coming along?

Jamie, the Great Asshole!

I mean, seriously, what's up with that?

"That freak is coming!

Wait, what? Wasn't his wedding, like, two weeks ago? And he didn't even bother telling your dad, you or your mom about it?

Now he is visiting with Dad."

I dunno, there's something weird going on, but I don't give a damn about it.

Anyway, I'll shoot you a text if anything goes haywire."

"Okay then! Oh! Shit!

Happy anniversary Asshole"

"Copy that! bitch! Bye!"

I parked my car nearby, got down and started texting her. As I stood there, I felt two soft hands wrap around me. I knew in an instant that it was her - my girl. The thrill of her touch sent shivers down my spine. My heart raced with excitement. It was as if time stood still at that moment. And all that mattered was her and the electricity between us.

"Sarah!"

As I held her hand, my heart skipped a beat. Turning back to look at her, I was once again blown away by her breathtaking beauty. From the moment I first laid eyes on her, I felt like fireworks were exploding inside me, and that feeling never faded away. She is an incredible and constant presence in my life, an unchanging force that fills me with wonder and excitement every time I see her.

When I turned around, my heart skipped a beat. Standing before me was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. She was wearing the same dress from the day we met and it fit her like a glove.

The bright yellow colour and sleeveless design accentuated her slender arms, and I couldn't wait to add the necklace I had bought her to complete the look. Her stunning cinnamon hair was swept up into a chic bun, adding an air of sophistication to her already captivating beauty. I felt like the luckiest person in the world to be standing, in her presence.

I gently gave a hickey before I lost my senses.

"Hmm..! How long have you been here?"

"Not that long, I was about to text you and saw you standing there to text me."

"Oh! How can you tell that I was texting you?"

"Oh! Eric...!"

Her lips met my cheeks and she gave me a smooch!

"So what are we today? Like-"

"I love you, Sarah!"

"Love you too!"

We kissed near the crosswalk for the sixth time. I lifted her in my arms, wanting to savour every moment of our passionate embrace. With each kiss, I promised her that our love would last forever. As I deepened the kiss, I could feel her soft lips parting. I let my tongue slide in slowly, savouring the taste of her. She closed my ears with her hands, a playful gesture that always made my heart race. At that moment, nothing else mattered. Our love was a force to be reckoned with, and I knew our connection would only grow stronger with each passing day.

I lifted her back and crossed our arms so that we could walk through the crosswalk.

"Let's do this for the rest of our lives."

"Okay. Let's do this."

I gave her a soft kiss while heading to the crosswalk...holding hands. She was smiling beautifully. Like she was so happy today. I want to see her smile every day.

It was only a few steps away from the lines.....

A trembling sound reached my ears. We were caught off guard and didn't realize it was closing in on us until it was too late. I tried to pull her to safety, but it was too late.
