Chapter 6 - Things weren't unclear!!

She was covered in blood panting for breath, her hands were reaching and so I..!

But my head was spinning and blood blocked my vision to see who took her.

I don't know what happened to her but she was in bad shape her soft hands were covered in blood and I couldn't feel the pain...but..!!

My heart was aching like it was going to explode in minutes. I wanted to run to her and I wanted to hold her. But my legs were not moving...

Somebody got me onto a stretcher and that is all....

That was all!

What I remember from that day!

Everything until I opened my eyes was over...! Sarah! Her smile! Her cinnamon hair! everything was gone! Forever!!!

I was lost from the day I lost her smile!

I again held my phone tightly if I could find anything! I will find her at any cost and do anything to save her.

My phone buzzed again.

Jeff: "Eric! I got it! She lives in Russia and she reached here on SEPTEMBER 12...! THE SAME DAY"

Jeff calling...!

I picked up the phone

"Eric! Something seems wrong. She arrived on the same day Sarah was hit by her car!"

"What! But What about that?"

"She lives? in Russia, Eric! It's the same place where Jamie resides."

"Jamies..."

"When is he visiting your Mom, we need to hurry!"

"I don't know but she has left at two o clock. Jeff, I'll call you back. I gotta go.!"

"Wait..! Im coming with you."

"Okay! Meet at the pub!"

I hung up the phone and rushed to the car.

"Did you get her number....!"

"No, not yet."

"What the fuck is happening?"

"But did she call you after this long? It has been six years and she hasn't called once. Are you sure, her death was confirmed?"

I didn't say anything I drove the car as fast as I could.

We reached my mom's House but it was too late.

"Mom, What are you saying? "

"Yes, He left 30 minutes ago. I think he had some emergency at his company, he was such in a hurry...! And told me that he won't be coming soon!"

"Shit...!shit..!"

I clamoured like a coward, what was I believing? Why do I never have Lisa's number?

"Mom, tell me do you know Lisa, or where she lives or anything about her?"

"Why? What is happening? Jeff, what is happening? Eric, you're questioning about the same stuff from the morning?"

"Mom, SARAH IS ALIVE...!"

She was in shock that she collapsed right after the news!

We managed to bring her to the couch.

She took her phone and scoured for Lisa on the call list.

"Yes, Once she visited you when you were in a coma and she gave this number to me. I saved it for a reason."

"Thanks, Mom. I will bring her home."

I hugged her and we parted assuring that I would bring her back home.

"Jeff, Track this number. And I will try to call her."

"Okay."

I dialled the number with a deep breath, and suddenly I was in fright when I spread my eyes through the number.

THE SAME NUMBER! THE SAME NUMBER FROM WHICH SARAH CALLED ME...!

"Eric! this number-

"Yes, It's the same number"

"So, Sarah is with Lisa?"

"I guess!!"

With trembling fingers, I dialled the number. Fear and hope coursed through me.

"Track this number now. I need its latest location and any relevant information. Every second counts and I can't afford any delays. The number is currently switched off...

I can't lose her anymore"

Jeff called the cyber officers and handed over the number.

"Eric, We got it."

He showed me the address where the last location showed where my Sarah was when I heard her voice after 6 years.

As Jeff and I raced towards the house, the sound of our footsteps echoed in the empty surroundings. The air was thick with the scent of old wood and a hint of lavender, creating an unusual but pleasant combination.

With cautious curiosity, we pushed open each door we passed, revealing rooms that seemed surprisingly clean and tidy for an old house. The soft glow of sunlight filtering through the windows illuminated the dust particles in the air.

As we ascended the worn, creaking stairs, I reached a room that seemed to stretch out before me. In the centre of the room stood a bed, its metal frame gleaming in the sunlight streaming through the windows. The bed appeared adjustable, with sturdy rails on either side for support, suggesting that it was designed for someone who might be bedridden. The absence of dust or clutter hinted at recent use.

The closely ventilated windows became more suspicious. It was clear that someone had taken care of this space, maintaining its cleanliness and serenity despite its age.

"Sarah was here and someone is aware of our coming."

"Yes, look!"

"Is this her hair?"

"I think so, It's cinnamon hair."

"Something's not right - they've cleared out all the evidence. Lisa's not alone, she's got help."

"We should hurry Jeff I can't bring this to lead a week or month to follow. I need to find her."

We set back after monitoring everything inside that room. We got nothing save that hair. But Sarah is smart. I know she will find a way to reach me if she is in good shape. I hope nothing will happen to her but I can't either wait for her to act.
