Chapter 22 - Chou Ping's foresight

In the afternoon, the meeting was held on time. The conference room was crowded, and everyone had a solemn expression.

The boss sat at the head, listening to the department heads report on their development plans.

Almost all the time, the boss frowned, as none of the department heads' plans met the boss's expected requirements.

Finally, with a serious face, the boss summarized and spoke, "Everyone, you are all talents of the company, especially you, the department heads, who graduated from prestigious universities with rich work experience. However, look at the plans you have formulated, they are all the same, lack uniqueness, and many are old routines from two or three years ago. Your thinking is too closed, which disappoints me greatly!"

The boss paused and continued, "Some time ago, I conducted a survey in Asia. I visited countries such as China, Thailand, and Vietnam. My impressions of these countries have changed significantly! Although our president has always boasted that we are the strongest and should suppress countries like China, after personally seeing it, the economic development speed of various Asian countries far exceeded my imagination. I smelled an opportunity there!"

As the boss spoke, Sarah's gaze intentionally or unintentionally glanced at Chou Ping. Although Chou Ping's morning remarks were not as detailed as the boss's, the conveyed meaning was entirely the same. In the end, the boss slammed the table and gave the final conclusion.

"So, I've decided, the company's future business focus will be on the Asian market!"

With these words, the whole room erupted in astonishment. It's worth noting that since the company's establishment, most projects have been in the United States.

Even in international business, it mostly involved developed countries in Europe and America. For the company, the Asian market was a blank slate in many aspects.

Those who heard Chou Ping's remarks in the office this morning were even more surprised. They didn't expect this seemingly inconspicuous guy to have such foresight, actually aligning with the boss's thoughts.

At this moment, Sarah's face turned slightly red as she secretly observed Chou Ping. Chou Ping also looked openly at Sarah, his expression ambiguous. Sarah quickly lowered her head, feeling embarrassed. She realized that she had been unreasonable in dismissing Chou Ping's serious discussion earlier.

Regretfully, Sarah thought if she had listened humbly to Chou Ping's opinions in the morning and quickly drafted a plan for exploring the Asian market, even if it wasn't perfect, just mentioning the enormous potential of the Asian market might have made the boss take notice.

What a great opportunity for promotion and salary increase, and she let it slip away.

The meeting ended, and the boss left directly. After being criticized by the boss, each department head convened another meeting with their respective teams to vent the frustration received from the boss onto the lower-level employees.

In Chou Ping's department, Sarah didn't hold a meeting but called Chou Ping into her office alone.

"Chou, can you tell me in detail about your ideas?"

Chou Ping sneered, with a hint of mockery, "Supervisor, this morning you told me not to talk nonsense, so I forced myself to forget that unrealistic idea."

Sarah's face turned black. It wasn't unrealistic; the key was that this idea was the only one that hit the mark.

"Chou... First, I need to apologize to you. I did look at you with colored glasses before. Now I know that you do have insight and ideas. Regarding your remarks this morning, I will report them truthfully to the boss. I hope your enthusiasm for work won't be affected by my attitude towards you."

Seeing Sarah's dignified attitude, Chou Ping no longer kept up his guard and briefly discussed his views on the Asian market.

After spending a whole day researching a lot of information, Chou Ping organized it in his own language and spoke eloquently, citing references. Sarah nodded repeatedly, deeply impressed.

"Chou! You truly deserve to be a Chinese. Your grasp of the Asian market is incredibly accurate. Can you create a comprehensive plan? If you're afraid I'll take credit for your work, you can personally present it to the boss."

After listening, Sarah couldn't wait to say this.

Chou Ping waved his hand indifferently and said casually, "Supervisor, that's fine. But after discussing work, I think we need to talk about something personal."

Sarah's cheeks immediately turned red. She knew exactly what personal matters Chou Ping was referring to.

"Chou, how did you find out about these things?"

Chou Ping grinned and gestured to the air, "Supervisor, the whips, candles, and various styles of toys in your house. Playing alone is too boring. If you need, I can be a good trainer!"

"You still haven't said how you found out!" Sarah was both shy and angry, but she didn't dare to shout loudly.

At this moment, Chou Ping had already reached the office door.

"Sarah, do you believe time can restart?"

As he spoke, Chou Ping opened the door, leaving behind a puzzled Sarah murmuring to herself.

"Restart time? What does he mean? Does he want to say he's a god? This big jerk!"

Back at his desk, Chou Ping received enthusiastic greetings from colleagues. In an instant, it seemed as if the previous racial discrimination and the coldness of the world no longer existed. Colleagues were all smiles, treating Chou Ping warmly.

The reason for all this was, of course, Chou Ping's remarks this morning.

His statements coincided with the boss's thoughts. Since he dared to make such remarks, he must have thoroughly studied the Asian market.

If the company's future business focus shifted to the Asian market, Chou Ping's information would undoubtedly make their work much easier.

Coincidentally, Chou Ping was also an Asian. It was very likely that in this business adjustment, he would rise rapidly and eventually become their top boss.

Currently, their relationship status was still relatively equal. Without flattering too much now, it might be difficult to do so once Chou Ping got promoted in the future.

"Hey, Chou, how about going for a drink tonight? There's a new bar that's pretty good!"

At the elevator, a black guy named Anderson waved at Chou Ping.

"Sure, no problem. It just so happens that I also want to go to that bar!"

While saying this, Chou Ping took out his phone and opened the voice recording function.

Ding!

The elevator door opened, and Chou Ping's lips curled up slightly as he saw the familiar figure of Ram, the guy with the flowery shirt, blonde hair, and freckles, next to Anderson.

When Ram saw Anderson, this master of strong words naturally entered taunting mode, taking the opportunity to mock Chou Ping as well.

Entering the elevator, Chou Ping calmly said, "Are you done talking?"

Ram was stunned. This yellow-skinned guy actually dared to respond.

"Haha, do you believe I can curse you, yellow-skinned monkeys and black baboons, for three days and three nights without repeating?"

As he spoke, a fist suddenly appeared in front of Ram, who couldn't avoid it in time...
