Chapter 16 - The Training Process

Getting her answers from me and my squad, Professor Daria sighed as we continued with the training we were going to do. Obviously, she was still confused, but somehow we convinced her as we proceeded with the main topic.

Taking a deep sigh again, our elf Professor Daria continued as we students from both squads stood in a lined manner.

"So, the training we are gonna do today is utilizing-only-mana-but-without-your-attributes training. And yeah... that's the training!" she said with a buzzkill expression.

"She could've termed that description better!" I said to myself with an awkward smile, thinking about how I was stuck with these strong ladies' crazy training names for a month.

"Sighs," taking a deep sigh, "Just use your mana to enhance or boost your physical abilities to train, is what this meathead is saying," Master Gladius explained with a sighed manner, patting Professor Daria's shoulders.

"Who are you calling meathead? Wanna go a round?" Professor Daria was pissed off on hearing Master Gladius, as she was on the brink of unsheathing her sword.

Leaning towards my right, "Is your mentor always like this?" I whispered towards Cecilia, who was standing near me.

Hearing me, "She is. But, she still guides us better, no point in arguing with that," Cecilia replied with a giggle.

"Humph. Princess Cecilia is too great she can understand Master Daria like a book!" Diane spoke out as she heard me and Cecile speaking.

"Diane, please be quiet!" Cecilia said with an embarrassed smile, as Diane quickly replied, "Yes, your highness!" with her face looked down.

Although Cecilia is kind of a bratty princess, with the exact prideful attitude as me, she is really strong. If memory serves, Cecilia is a second-year student and only fourteen years old. Yet, she is already at the Peak-Advanced rank? she is obviously a genius from my perspective. However, why can't I sense her attribute's nature or grade?

"Interesting. Very Interesting!" I said to myself, as I was lost in thought.

"You two!" Master Gladius's voice rang out, as I snapped out of my thinking and looked at Master Gladius as well as Professor Daria.

"Cecilia and Lucas, you both will be in a team!" Master Gladius instructed as Professor Daria continued, "Diane and Bran! you both will be in a team!" She said.

"We will give you all two hours to train and strategize. Both teams should be ready to face off, as a team mock battle while only using enhancements and boosting," Professor Daria instructed with a strict expression. Seems like, it's on now.

Just as our masters left us four in the training area, they vanished quickly, leaving a note on the small board nearby saying "We will be back in two hours. Be ready!"

Well, no choice now, is there.

"So, Lucas. Seems like we are a team now. What's the plan?" Cecilia asked with a smirk on her face.

"Hmm. Let's just sit down and see what happens." I replied to Cecilia quickly as I sat down on the ground, closing my eyes, thinking of how I should use my mana and how efficiently I could use it to enhance or boost my attacks. Of course, we would be battling with wooden swords now, but the usage of mana should be controlled to exhibit a winning strike.

I must say, spending time in this world and training harder than anyone makes even a demon king like me think about my attacks and usage of my prowess.

Seeing me sitting down silently like some stone, Bran, Diane, and Cecile were confused.

"Diane, let's go over there and try to combine our attacks!" Bran said to Diane as soon as he saw me planning something, pointing towards the left half of the arena. Well, that's my brother for ya.

However, my teammate who was standing and observing me knelt down as she was so close to my face, even when I was keeping my eyes closed, I could smell her sweat-"Shit!" What the hell am I thinking.

Cecilia's amused voice reached me, "Lost in thought, Lucas?"

Damn her cuteness. I chuckled, opening my eyes to meet her playful gaze. "Just strategizing for our impending victory. You know, the usual."

She grinned, leaning in closer. "Well, don't keep all the genius plans to yourself. Share a bit, will you?"

"You sure you are a princess because you don't act like one!" I asked her with a smile, noticing her attitude with me around.

"I'm born with royal blood, mind you!" She replied in a 'your-highness' way of speaking. And of course, neither she nor me, we were only able to speak that way because of our pride is on the stake.

"Sigh" I rolled my eyes, "Fine, fine. I will tell you my plans. But..." I need to understand her element to pull off my attacks with hers. Should I ask her directly?

"But what?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Sit down facing me, keeping the palm of your hands open. I need to pass my mana onto you!" I said without any hesitance.

She raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "Mysterious, aren't we? your not a pervert are you? touching a princess seems so...."

"What the hell. You dare call me a Kin- I mean, a man like me a pervert?" I replied in a flustered situation. I mean, she just called me, the demon king of destruction and chaos, a Pervert? I mean, who the hell does something like that? And why am I flustered and not angry? Darn this teenage body.

"Alright alright fine. You are cute when you blush like that Lucas!" Cecilia said, giggling and mocking my manliness.

"Rest assured, Princess. This is merely a transfer of mana for a strategic advantage in our upcoming battle. No ulterior motives here." I replied somehow tackling my emotions.

Cecilia grinned, "Well, I hope your mana is as trustworthy as your words, Lucas."

With that, she sat down, facing me, her palms open. I extended my hands towards hers, and with a focused concentration, I initiated the transfer of mana. I took a deep breath, focusing my mana to sense the elemental nature within her.

Her attribute is warm and kind of soft, giving off an extremely familiar feel toward my mana.

"Hmm, interesting," I mumbled to myself, trying to discern the subtle nuances of her elemental affinity.
