Chapter 10 - Practical Battle class

The Practical Battle class or Practical Mana manipulation, as they say, was held in a training facility much like a small auditorium. I noticed that the layout of this room was very different. It was shaped like a miniature arena, with a battling platform in the middle, encased in a barrier field, and rows of seats circling around it.

"It's Lucas..."

"Man, he has changed so much!"

Me and Bran made our way to a random spot and sat down as I could practically hear the students around me whispering, but with a sigh, I ignored them all. Just getting angry all the time won't cut it; the strong should prove they are strong, and as long as they do that, the idiocy of others will never come up. At least that's what I was thinking while hearing these bastards.

More and more students started filling the room after a few minutes. While most were first years, there were some second years that decided to take this class later.

Well, it was a bit embarrassing, as me and Bran were supposed to be Third-years now and due to Lucas's failures, we were still attending first and second year students' classes.

"You are certainly calm, considering what the others are gossiping!" Bran said as he noticed my calm expression.

"Well, I just got bored, I guess. Let them talk whatever they want!" I replied with a smile.

Just as I finished my sentence, "May I sit here?" I turned my head to find a female student standing beside me.

The girl was really pretty, with a petite, doll-like appearance, porcelain white skin, big blue eyes, thick lashes, black hair, and small lips. I noticed she had a delicate, small stature, which makes her appear delicate enough to the point that I want to protect her, but these emotions are all meaningless for my demonic royal self. Ugh, this adolescent body of mine.

"No princess, you mustn't!" a voice rang out behind her as another female student with her glasses walked behind the girl who was speaking with me.

"Princess?" I was confused as I turned my gaze towards Bran, who slightly bowed down to her with a smile. And following that, he did think that I would do the same, but I didn't.

I mean, How can my royal self bow down to a lesser's princess. However, just after that, Bran pushed my head down, making me bow and respect her.

And yet, she was still standing.

"Princess, you mustn't sit with these guys. Let's go find you a comfortable spot!" The girl with the glasses said.

"Suite yourself!" I replied arrogantly as I took my hands I was leaning against the seat and acted, rather normally.

"Why you-" as the girl with the glasses tried to yell at me, the princess cut in the middle, "Thank you, Sir Lucas...was it?" She said as she sat near me with a chuckle.

Seeing her princess sitting here, the girl with the glasses also took her seat near the princess. What a peculiar personal assistant, I must say.

Well, during my life as the Demon King in the abyss, I had no servants as they were all useless bastards and I either killed them all or devoured them for myself, But, I never would've thought a servant who is protective of their master. truly fascinating.

"Forgive my brother for his rudeness princess Cecilia, he didn't do it purposefully!" Bran apologized to the princess. Though, I did do it purposefully, as it is my pride as a King.

"It's alright," The princess Cecilia said as she looked at my face with a smile, "My name is Cecilia Realmheart, also known as the Eleutheria Kingdom's Princess. Nice to meet you for the first time Sir. Lucas Trident!" She said.

Although Lucas didn't have any memories of her aside from her name, it seems she is a nice young lady. Getting to know her would be beneficial for me.

"Yeah, it's nice to meet you too I guess!" I replied with a vague response.

"How dare you!" The Girl with the glasses yelled at me with anger for disrespecting the princess.

"I do dare? we are all students here. Neither me nor the princess have rights to brag about our status as nobles or royal. I'm just treating her like I treat everyone; is it so wrong? miss secretary?" I lashed out with my confident words.

"Even so-" She still wouldn't give up as she spoke, but the princess cut in, once again. "It's alright Diane. After all, what Mr. Luca- I mean, Lucas is saying is true!" She said with a sarcastic smile.

"Well, what do you know? she is good at making people angry isn't she. She is practically the exact same as me, with an overwhelming attitude and pride as a Royal. I'm beginning to like this girl's actions!" I thought to myself and smiled at Cecilia, seeing her smiling back, as the professor for the class entered the room.

"Silence!," the man yelled as he walked to the center. "My name is Professor Walt. Welcome lads and lasses,"

Quite the attitude he got there, and he is strong too. The man is muscular and tall, with a height of about two meters. His physical appearance can be compared to a bear at the least. And it seems he doesn't use any weapons aside from his fists that were wrapped around with medical tape.

"This is the Practical Battle course class. That means we will be doing things very practically,"

What a nice way of defining the class.

"because what better way to learn than through hands-on experience, right?" His deep bass voice boomed throughout the class, waking up anyone that might've still been sleepy, which included me.

"What do you think, Lucas, can you hold up against Professor Walt?" Cecilia asked me with a certain-sarcastic way with a smile that was attracting even the guys all over the class.

"Why, of course, your eminence. Trust me, I'm far more powerful than this rugged bear," I said as I pointed my hand towards Professor Walt. And,

"Who said I was a rugged Bear?"

It seems like I said it out loud too.
