Ding Liu reached for her phone on the bedside table and saw a few notifications.
There were a few emails from work, some texts from the group chat, and a few advertisement from the shopping apps on her phone. However, the notification that Ding Liu was hoping to see was nowhere to be seen.
Ding Liu pursed her lips into a thin line as she tried to suppress her disappointment.
