'So, This is how I die huh~ quite a flashy way to end my life.'
I still remember that day when this whole story began the day was my 6th birthday and the whole Parivaar (Family) was there but it's still blurry about how they were killed off.
"RUN! RUN MY SON! YOU HAVE TO LIVE!!!"
A voice filled with pain and suppressed heartache echoed in the burning surroundings, dead bodies everywhere- I stumbled through the chaos, tears streaming down my face as the acrid smell of smoke filled the air. The world around me was a blur of flames and screams. My small hand clutched a worn-out teddy bear, a gift from my parents earlier that day.
I followed the desperate cries of my mother, trying to make sense of the madness. The once vibrant hues of the birthday decorations now melded with the ominous glow of the fire. I felt the heat against my skin as I emerged into the open, the night sky painted with ominous shades of orange.
"ARRGGGGGGG!!!"
A familiar voice resonated, once filled with immense pride and joy, now distorted by pain and anguish. I turned to see my father, battling a shadowy figure amidst the flames. His silhouette danced with the flickering fire, a desperate struggle for survival. My heart pounded in my chest as I watched, frozen in fear.
"GO, MY SON! RUN!"
My father's voice pleaded with me as he fought, but my small legs refused to carry me away. The figure attacking him seemed otherworldly, a darkness cloaked in malevolence. With each strike, my father weakened, and the shadows seemed to devour him.
[In Present Time]
Amid the chaos, I focused on the mysterious figure taunting me. "Who are you?" I shouted, my voice shaking with a mix of fear and anger.
The figure emerged from the shadows, revealing a sinister grin that sent shivers down my spine. "Ah, Vali, the last of your bloodline. I've waited so long for this moment. Your family's power is mine to claim."
I took a step back, my mind racing to comprehend the revelation. "You killed my family?" I whispered, the words catching in my throat.
The figure chuckled darkly. "Yes, and now, I will finally absorb the power of the blood mark you carry. It's time for you to join them in oblivion."
Summoning the strength within me, I forced myself to confront the nightmare before me. "You won't get away with this," I declared, my determination outweighing the fear. "I will stop you, even if it costs my life."
The figure's laughter intensified, mocking my resolve. "You? Stop me? You're nothing but a mere remnant of a once-proud bloodline. Your power is insignificant compared to what I've become."
As the mysterious figure reveled in his newfound strength, I felt a surge of despair. My vision blurred, and my limbs grew heavy. The stolen power within me drained away, leaving me vulnerable and weakened. The figure, now fully healed, approached with an air of triumph.
"Now, your bloodline's power belongs to me. Your sacrifice will not be in vain, Vali," he gloated, savoring the moment.
Despite the darkness closing in, a flicker of determination ignited within me. I refused to succumb without a fight. As the figure raised his hand to deliver the final blow, a surge of energy emanated from the blood mark on my wrist. It pulsed with an intensity that seemed to defy the imminent defeat.
In a blinding flash, the stolen power recoiled, resisting the figure's attempts to fully absorb it. The air crackled with otherworldly energy, and the surroundings warped as the struggle for dominance unfolded.
The mysterious figure, now caught off guard, staggered back, shielding himself from the unleashed power. My body, though weakened, began to radiate a faint glow as the blood mark fought against its captor.
A voice echoed in my mind, a resonance from the depths of my family's legacy. "You are the guardian of this power, Vali. Embrace it, protect it. Only then can you overcome the darkness that seeks to consume you."
Summoning the remnants of my strength, I channeled the power back within me. The figure howled in frustration as the stolen energy returned, causing him to recoil. The struggle reached its climax, a clash of opposing forces tearing at the fabric of reality.
Amid this cosmic battle, memories flooded my mind ā the laughter of my family, the warmth of their embrace, the love that fueled my determination. With newfound resolve, I embraced the legacy embedded in the blood mark, tapping into its true potential.
I shook off the lingering daze from the vivid dream, my heart still pounding with the echoes of the past. As I got out of bed, the events of that night seemed to cling to my thoughts, a haunting reminder of the darkness that had once engulfed my life.
Uncle Avinash's cheerful voice drifted through the air again, this time devoid of the pain and desperation from my dream. I took a deep breath, attempting to ground myself in the present. The familiar surroundings of my bedroom reassured me that the nightmare was just thatāa haunting memory, not my current reality.
I made my way downstairs to join Uncle Avinash and Jay at the breakfast table. The aroma of freshly cooked food filled the air, starkly contrasting the burning chaos in my dream. Jay, my cousin, flashed a bright smile, seemingly unaware of the turmoil that had unfolded in my subconscious mind.
"Good morning, Vali! Ready for the first day of our school internship exams?" Jay asked, his excitement infectious.
I managed a nod, still grappling with the residual emotions from the dream. "Yeah, let's do our best."
Uncle Avinash, with his kind eyes, noticed the unease in my expression. "Everything alright, Vali?"
I hesitated, considering whether to share the details of my unsettling dream. Instead, I opted for a dismissive smile. "Just a weird dream. Nothing to worry about."
Uncle Avinash studied my face for a moment, concern lingering in his gaze, but he respected my choice not to delve into the details. The weight of the dream clung to me, but I pushed it aside, determined to focus on the challenges of the day ahead.
Uncle Avinash joined us on the journey to City B, where the world's most renowned magic school awaited. As we approached the massive gates of the institution, a symbol of both beauty and grandeur, Uncle Avinash wished us the best of luck for our internship exams.
After a heartfelt farewell, Uncle Avinash headed back to his shop, leaving Jay and me to face the challenges that awaited within the school's prestigious walls. The practical exam was a crucial step for admission, and success in this test would determine our fate in the magical realm.
As the enormous gates swung open, I couldn't help but marvel at the breathtaking scenery that unfolded before us. The school grounds were a testament to the magical prowess within, and the air buzzed with an energy that hinted at the countless tales of heroism and achievement that had transpired within those walls.
Stepping through the gates, I couldn't shake the haunting memory of my dream. It fueled my determination to find the mysterious figure who had taken everything from meāthe one responsible for the tragic events on my sixth birthday. My goal was clear: to become the most powerful hero, surpassing the limits set by the masters who had come before me.
"And from this moment," I whispered to myself, "begins my journey within these hallowed halls, a journey to uncover the truth, a journey to become a hero capable of surpassing even the legendary 50% mastery. The path ahead is challenging, but I am ready to face whatever comes my way."
With newfound resolve, I walked deeper into the heart of the magical school, my eyes fixed on the future that awaited meāa future where I would not only seek justice for my family but also strive to become a beacon of strength and hope in a world filled with magic and mystery.
The following day ushered us into the expansive exam hall, where a multitude of students practiced their magical abilities. Each individual showcased a distinct and unique set of powers, creating a dazzling display of arcane prowess. As Jay and I entered, the energy in the room palpably crackled with anticipation.
Among the sea of aspiring mages, a particular boy locked eyes with us. His gaze bore an intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. With deliberate steps, he approached, and the aura emanating from his powers mirrored a formidable force, akin to a monstrous entity lurking in the shadows.
