As the cold breeze passed by the hill, with the setting sun perfectly positioned between the sky and the surface, there stood two lovers.
They looked at each other with satisfaction in their eyes, they knew they didn't need anything or anyone else, they only needed each other.
The man cupped her cheeks as he slowly brought his face closer to hers. "I love you, Sanguine." He said.
"I love you too Sévir, please never let go of me!" Sanguinex replied.
And so they kissed, they kissed as if it were their last day on earth, even so, they wanted more, and more, and more..
As Sanguinex rolled around the bed asleep, a stupid smile formed on her face.
She's probably dreaming of something stupid about me. Said Sévir.
...
The class find themselves in Stadium #2 yet again, split in five groups.
"There's only five groups that represent 5 elements, there's no miscellaneous users?" Sévir wondered, as normally there should be 6 instead of 5, and the group that's missing is the miscellaneous group."
"Indeed, there's no miscellaneous users right now, it's only you and Sanguinex.
But of course, we can't tell them that now, can we? After you guys used fire and air." Ms. Ardell glanced at him and Sanguinex. "So now, you're my assistant for this class."
"Damn, why did Percival have to be absent out of all days? Now I have to be with this witch..." He scoffed as he knitted his brows.
"Oh hey, did you notice?"
"What?"
"While Sanguinex and Zephyr are out there making friends, living happily, you're just here alone with nobody but them and Minerva to approach, right?"
"So what?"
"Isn't it lonely? Do you really want this?" Nothing but genuine worry can be heard in her voice.
Huh? It's different, her voice always sounds sarcastic, why does she sound like she's actually worried. He thought to himself.
"Well, I don't care about making friends, especially in this academy. They all talk bad about me, are you telling me to just ignore that?" He replied in an instant, irritated by her question.
She shrugged. "Well, alright then, let's get up the auditorium and watch over the students from there." She pointed at the auditorium.
He nodded and followed her up there.
"–As you can see here, if you want to make the wall thicker, then you'd have to imagine it as much and as fast as you can." Minerva pointed her cutlass upwards, water rises up to create a thin wall at where she's aiming at.
"You will also spend mana to make spells bigger, but for these type of basic spells and for this size, you'll just spend around 200-700." The wall suddenly became thicker.
"Ms. Grosvenor, we already learned this years ago though. Why do we have to discuss it again?" One of the water group member asked.
The wall went down as she resheathed her cutlass. "Well, I'm just following the way Ms. Ardell would want it to be, she's teaching us the basics again so we don't forget about it because of more advanced things."
"It looks like Minerva's group is doing just fine." Said Sévir.
He turned his eyes towards the fire group where Sanguinex is at.
"–Remember guys, fire and earth can do the most amount of damage against one's environments if you use it without much control." Their top fire user, Eileen aimed at the sky. "Globus Ahi!" She shouted as a large, violent fireball formed on top of her hand.
"Now, this big of a violent fireball can cause some chaos towards its surroundings as I said earlier, so please do your best at controlling your spells." The ball of fire extinguished as she closed her hand.
"I think Sanguine's group is also doing just fine." Said Sévir. "Also, why is Percival absent?"
"It was raining last night and he got soaked."
"Oh. While we're at it, tell me more about Percival." He sat down, slouching.
"Sure, it can kill time." She cleared her throat.
...
Percival joined this Academy when he was 12. For the first 2 years, nothing much happened to him, I've never seen him engage in duels in those 2 years. He was a quiet person.
But in his 3rd year, it all changed.
He was challenged to a duel by one of the big shots of his class, he invited everyone in his class to watch their duel.
Everyone attended, even I did.
When the duel began and the guy went in for the strike, he dodged it and made a clone of himself.
Everyone was shocked, I was shocked too. How are there two Percival's?
That's when I realized he had clone magic.
He offered up a game, where his opponent must guess who the clone is, if he can, then he will admit defeat. As you know, this never happened, he won.
Since then, he became a completely different person, he wasn't the quiet person that I knew. He challenged everyone in his class to a duel, he even challenged the Octet to a duel!
..But, of course, the skill gap was too big, so he was defeated by all of them. Since then, he decided to challenge more people outside his class.
However, none of them were actually registered in his win-loss ratio, because they were never official duels, which is what he and his opponents agreed to.
Anyway, that brings us to today, he's known for his clone magic and the game he offers, he would've had a win-loss ratio like that of the Sixth Undefeated if all of them were official.
...
"I see. Sounds boring." He shrugged.
"Well, it's also known that he fears Minerva a lot."
"Minerva? Why Minerva?"
"I honestly don't know, nobody knows why, only he and Minerva knows." She put her leg up the knee of her other leg.
He sat up. "While we're at it, can you tell me more about Minerva?"
"Why? Interested in her?" She smiled.
"I want to know more about my classmates, I couldn't find the chance to ask her."
"Okay, I'll give you a short story about it, every other detail, you should ask her."
...
Minerva joined this Academy when she was 12, she got popular fast because of her looks and her Grosvenor-esque elegance.
Water magic is common among the students, however, her introduction to the tournament scenes made water magic look way cooler than it actually is.
Everyone who used water magic called her a prodigy, she gained her magic at 11 years old and dominated in the tournaments even at her freshman group years. The elegance in the water's movement as she controlled it, even if it looked stylish, she still kept winning.
Other than water magic, she was known for knowing a lot of sword styles, she knows how to use a rapier, a longsword, a greatsword, a katana and so much more, she can switch sword styles in a heartbeat.
She also had her own game called the "No Magic Deathmatch" for melee users, where they don't use magic and fight with their melee weapons.
However, it's also known that most of her defeats were inflicted by Noelle Trysta, they went back and forth with each other all the time, Noelle always won.
Since her last defeat against Noelle Trysta, she went on a 57 win streak which brings us to today, she is the Second Undefeated.
...
"I see. Interesting."
"You really love replying like you're so uninterested, huh?"
"I don't see a problem with it, Auntie."
"I suggest you don't call me Auntie when we're in class."
He flashed a quick, evil smile as he looked at her. "Okay Ms. Witch."
She sighed. "I gave up on fixing your attitude the very first day you joined this academy."
As time passed by, they all returned to the main building, most of them are sweating buckets.
It's noon, the bells around the city rings, so do the stomachs of the students, growling in hunger.
Everybody lines up in the canteen with coins on their hands, waiting for their turn to order some yummy, precious, delicious canteen food.
But of course, that's not how Sévir does things. He finds himself in the... Rooftop of the academy?
As Sévir sat there in the edge, overlooking the capital, his eyes dozed off, looking towards the sky.
"We can eat later, let's just take a short stroll!" He heard a faint voice from below, snapping him back to reality.
He looked down and saw two girls. "You've looked kind of down lately, Meredith. That's why you should come with me and take a stroll." The girl said as she dragged Meredith by the arm.
"Ms. Trystaaa... Fine! Just this once." Meredith gave in and stopped resisting, going out of the campus with Noelle.
Out of all that he could barely hear, he heard Noelle's surname.
"Trysta... Alright." He stood up, walking away with a faint smile in his face afterwards.
