"3.. 2.. 1.. BEGIN!" She ran away from the middle of the arena.
Minerva ran while she swung her cutlass across, water rose from the ground in a curved line, there, a wall of water was erected.
"Radium Ahi!" Sanguinex aimed at her wall of water, as she swiped her wand left to right, a ray of fire. It made contact with the wall, forming huge volumes of steam across the wall almost instantly.
Thomas' eyes darted around the steam-filled wall, Geringer and Kleiner moved away from Thomas the moment he raised his left hand. So that blood-hair uses fire, by how they created the steam gave me a quick impression that they have good coordination, but now I doubt that's actually the case. He slowly inched backwards.
As the fog faded away, two shadowy figures could be spotted from the other side.
Before Geringer and Kleiner could make a move, Sanguinex shouted "Radium Ahi!" Once more, even more steam formed and the shadowy figures faded away.
Are they just going to keep concealing themselves with this steam!? So much for 5-1! Kleiner unsheathed his backsword.. Fine then, we'll just have to force them to show themselves!
He swung his sword across the steam-filled wall the same time the water went down, the wind cut through the steam again and again as he swung it around again and again until it went away. Geringer followed through and did the same on his side.
The same time the steam went away, a surge of water charged towards Kleiner as fast as Minerva could make it go, Kleiner was washed away by the surge of water, unable to react in time.
"Radium Ahi!" Sanguinex aimed her wand at Thomas, he didn't fail to notice the ray of fire charging towards him, as if that wasn't enough, another surge of water charges towards Thomas, which he also didn't fail to notice.
He clicked his tongue, he stomped the ground as hard as he could, the ground under him cracked and the ground in front of him rose, shielding him from the ray of fire and surge of water charging towards him.
He punched the raised ground in front of him which made it crack, he grabbed a rock and ran away from his old position.
"Globus Ahi!" A ball of fire speeded towards Geringer, Percival 1 and Percival 2 (–welcome back Percival 2) nodded at each other and sprinted towards Geringer, he distinguished the ball of fire with a thrust, he inched backwards as the two Percivals got closer and closer.
Minerva traced the running Thomas, controlling the movements of the surge of water with her cutlass to match Thomas' location. Thomas stopped and stomped the ground with his feet to face the surge of water head-on, his feet, trapped in solid earth.
The surge of water made contact with the rock he's holding that covers his entire head and torso, giving his all to not budge. ARGHH!!! COME ONNNN!!!
Minerva squinted her eyes, she stood straight while her right arm was still extended. Thomas is persistent as usual. I still have a lot of mana to use, I'm not letting up. The surge of water grew even stronger in intensity, Thomas' left leg bent even more for a split second, nearly losing his balance. Ooh crap! That was close! I'm literally at my limit here.. Even more then I'm gonna lose my balance! He growled as he pushed the rock even harder.
She raised an eyebrow. Really now? Since when was Thomas this strong? Oh well, it doesn't matter. He'll lose his balance anytime now if I just.. Wash him at 60%. The already strong surge of water grew even stronger, 60% as Minerva said.
Crap..! She's pushing me back! He pushed even harder. ..I can't! This is my limit! I'm gonna lose my balance- Just as he feared, he lost his balance, falling on his back.
Minerva walked to the downed Thomas, pointing her cutlass at his neck. "I win, Thomas."
"Aprins Sciana!" She swiped her wand in a circle, a wall of fire rose up and surrounded Geringer. The two Percival's stop in their tracks, knowing really well that they can't pass the fire wall Sanguinex just set up.
Why am I even up against 3!? This is crazy! He turned around here and there, preparing for an attack from whatever side they'll come from. They know my position too well, even if I take this wall off with wind, I can only wish that it actually hits them. Sweat poured down his cheeks as seconds passed by. UGH! SCREW IT! He turned around two times continuously, doing a full 360 whilst swinging his sword at chest level, blowing the wall of fire away.
"NOW! GLOBUS AHI!" A ball of fire from Sanguinex's wand speeded towards Geringer who just stopped spinning around.
Oh, it's heading towards me. The ball of fire landed on his chest and exploded on the spot, he recoiled backwards.
Percival 2 sprinted towards Geringer, tackling him down to the ground while Percival 1 quickly grabbed his sword while being tackled.
Sanguinex walked to the tackled Geringer who struggled to get Percival 2 off of him, pointing her wand at his neck. "I win–actually, we win." She smirked.
Geringer stopped resisting and loosened up, Percival 2 let go of him and stood up.
Thomas regained a bit of his strength and stood up, flashing a weak smile. "Ms. Grosvenor, I bet it makes Aegir and Marella smile seeing you use water magic so excellently all the time."
"You don't need to flatter me all the time, my usage isn't that amazing." She smiled back. "I think you make Daichi and Tierra smile too with your physical strength."
"Well, I'm certain that I'm not the Eighth Undefeated for nothing, I've built up this much strength and skills to make Daichi and Tierra smile." He crossed his arms.
She looked at Sanguinex's side. "Looks like your last guy is down. I'll see you later." She waved as she walked away.
He placed his hand over his heart, his cheeks glowed red, he looked down as to not show his big, stupid smile. Ah, I have been blessed by Daichi and Tierra! It sure is a blessing to talk to the cool, beautiful and gifted Ms. Grosvenor for that long! Oh, it seems like Thomas–The Eighth Undefeated, is also one of Minerva's fanboys.
"Game! Victory for 5-1!" Ms. Ardell shouted, the crowd of students applauded.
Minerva waved at the crowd, flashing a quick smile before walking to the auditorium, followed by Sanguinex and the others. Ugh, this stupid Gros-whatever-her-name-is is as popular as ever.. It's so irritating! Her face showed scorn in every single way.
"Ms. Grosvenor! Sanguinex! Percival! Good job at winning!" The students congratulated them with joy.
Sévir yawned as he listened to his classmates congratulating them.
