Adriana slept so long that she didn't know that the time is far gone. Mona had to come wake her up since Damon had been asking of her.
My dear please wake up." Mona says and Adriana grumbles as she sits up on the bed.
"What time is it?" She asked with her sleepy voice and Mona announce the time.
"What?!" Adriana yells as her face widens and her sleepy version is no where to be found. She gets off the bed and quickly tie her robe and run towards the exit. She runs straight to Damon's room and opens the door to his study and rushes towards him. Damon who is sitted on his reading desk with his hands crossed at his chest turns his head towards the door as he sees the rough Adriana running towards him.
"Good morning Boss!" Adriana says as she press a quick pause before she hits Damon by the chest.
"Good morning Miss Adriana, you're late, and looking like you just woke. Seeing you in a robe isn't business like." Damon says and Adriana checks on her body and realise that she didn't get changed before running over.
She squeeze her eyes shot in embarrassment as she clenched her jaws and fist in frustration.
"Please spare me some time sir." She asks.
"You have five minutes." Damon says and she quickly dash out the room back to her room. She quickly enters her bathroom. Taking a shower will take long so she quickly brush her teeth. She wets her hair with a bit of water and combs it with her fingers and packs it together leaving a few strands sticking to her wet face. She wears a loose long sleeve top with a shorts reaching her knees. She walks quickly back to Damon's study with a simple smile on her face. Damon clears his throat and signals for her to take a sit. Adriana wonders at first if he was implying for her to sit on his chair because there's only one chair and he is sitting at the edge of his desk.
"Come sit here." Damon says as he points to the chair. Adriana reluctantly approach him and sits.
"Sir, aren't we writing a business proposal for the LIU fashion stars?" Adriana asks.
"Yes we are." Damon replies and Adriana nods in understanding then she smiles 5he second she notice the glasses Damon dash on. It fits him so much that she couldn't help but smile widely. Damon raises his eyebrows the second he notice the unnecessary smile plastered on Adriana's face. Adriana realise 5hat she has been smiling so widely and she quickly divert her face to the laptop before her.
"I'll begin to prepare the proposal now sir." Adriana says and she begins her work. She puts everything she knows together leaving nothing behind. She didn't want to look like a rookie to Damon since she has been working at his company for three years and as his assistant for three weeks now. She wanted her work to be flawless so she concentrate on nothing but the laptop before her. Miss Mona comes in with two glasses of apple juice for Adriana.
"Thank you." Damon says and miss Mona smiles shortly and walks out the room. It's been thirty minutes since she has been working on the proposal and her throat feels kind of dry and on top of that she hasn't eaten anything since she woke up. Damon watches her as she swallows her saliva countless times. Damon walks over and stands behind and looks over at the work she has done. She has done well so far but she still has a long way. He places his hands on her shoulders and massage them gently.
"How about a five minutes break?" He says and he can feel her shoulder muscles go stiff under his touch.
"No..no, I'm fine. I'll be down in a few minutes." Adriana says as she concentrates once again. Damon walks back to his desk and picks up her own glass of apple juice. He takes her hands off the keyboards and place it in her palm.
"Drink this then continue." He says and Adriana nods in agreement not protesting further. She gulps down the entire content and licks her upper lip before setting the empty glass behind the laptop. She continues her work as she asks certain questions related to the new partnership proposal she's writing up. She pinches her temples and sigh shortly. At last she finish the presentation and all she had to do was imput a correct ending. Damon bends over her shoulders and his eyes shine with displeasure as he sights the word 'please'.
"After everything you've written to make our company stand out are you really going to ruin it with that one wrong word." Damon says.
Adriana turns her head and look over at him.
"What word sir?" Adriana asks 8n curiosity.
"That one." He points at please.
"You make it sound like we won't be getting any other investors. The word please is a cheap and apologetic statement. Cancel it." Damon say and Adriana nods in agreement and cancel it.
"What would you do if we were not to be accepted with your proposal?" Damon asks and Adriana sighs as she tries to think.
"Well... I don't think about things like failure so instead I've been thinking about my bonus for this month once we get sighed." Adriana says with a serious face and Damon scoffs.
"Really?" He asks and Adriana nods in agreement.
"Okay then, what do you want for your bonus?" Damon asks.
"A ride on a cruise ship. In short living as a princess... With my best friend too! I really wanna treat her out. She has been my lifesaver. She's rich, independent and beautiful too but she doesn't care about my status and my looks." Adriana says.
"What's wrong with your looks?" Damon says totally catching Adriana off guard.
"Uhm..." Adriana shutters.
"I bet you need a new mirror..." He says as he turns around and leave.
"Come downstairs for lunch." Damon says and Adriana still wonders what he actually meant. She gets up hurriedly as she hears the study room door goes shut. She walks downstairs and meets Damon eating a few grapes as he access the foods on the dining. She walks towards him with her hands crossed at her back.
He takes his sit and so does she then they both begin to eat.
"So, what do you say about going on a ride? There's an interesting place during winter. Wanna come along?" Damon says and Adriana nods in agreement
"Okay."
