"Young man, watch out!"
Screech!! Boom.
What is happening?
Why is everything so cold? Why is everything so blurry? Why can't I move?
Why is everyone screaming?
Slowly, I feel myself enveloped in deep darkness. Finally, I understand what happened. In my last moment of consciousness, I died.
It's not too bad, though. Even though I can't move, see, or hear, it's not too bad. At least I can think. I didn't lose anything anyway. I was on my way to a job interview. I am a fresh graduate from high school, no parents, no girlfriend, just a few friends that I haven't been in contact with for a long time.
Wait, what was my name again? Hmm.
Ah, yes. I think it was Ocrid, if I am not remembering wrong. I don't know how long I have been here since I can't feel the passage of time or anything, really.
I wonder if it will stay like this forever. I don't think my sanity will last for that long, though.
Suddenly, there was a bright light taking over the whole black space, filling it with radiant rays, and slowly disappearing soon after, replacing it is a feeling.
A strange feeling inside of me—something that felt familiar yet different.
Yes, YES, I know what it is—the feeling of life. I can feel something. Hmm.
I seem to be in a cramped space, and strangely enough, my body feels like it's growing.
Slowly, it seems I am not in a mature body, most likely still a fetus growing. I wonder what I will be after I am born?
But I am not that surprised, though. I always believed in life after death, and rebirth doesn't seem that unlikely, as I always read novels about reincarnation, something I always hoped would happen to me.
Well, I guess it'll have to stay like this for a while.
