Rengyotsu paced around the room quickly glancing at the glowling spells floating around him and seeking the one he needed.
The dark room whose only source of light was provided by the different colors of spells held an overwhelming spiritual energy and suffocating aura made Ren's job even more difficult for him.
Weaker demons who somehow got in here would be trapped and maybe killed in here but the general's body did it's best to contain it.
Teleporting here had been one hell of a big task for him as the magic put here was so strong it blocked his space magic repeatedly before he was finally able too,but only because he was a grandmaster tier demon and the only existing kind in Delvin.
Even a commander tier would find coming here impossible. The sorcerors had done a perfect job of hiding the place that was why the room held the most dangerous and hideous spells of the realm.
Little wonder the place was difficult to find let alone enter.
The keepers couldn't teleport here neither could the royal sorcerors.
They usually made use of a key.
Ren thought getting the key from the keepers would be a meaningless time and energy consuming hassle.
He had already expended a great deal of spiritual energy finding this room but right now Ren didn't think he had made the wrong decision,it would be worth it in the end.Afterall, the emperor had told him about a forthcoming hunt, more energy essence was on its way.His decision to breech the barrier had cost him most of his energy but he wasn't doing this for himself nor for the ambitious bunch he had teamed up with to get rid of Tyran's son.Ren was doing this for the emperor and for Delvin. He would help him open his eyes and destroy that child at all cost.
This zeal fired him up that he barely felt his energy losses in his physical body,or was it the anger he felt for Tyran for knowing what his son was and yet still vowing to protect him?
The general had appeared in sorceror's city in Urah wearing a black hood cloak over his white robe, the hood far bigger than his head that it completely covered his scarlet hair and exposed only his philtrum and lip.
Everyone wore black in sorceror city, even the roads and buildings were black and most sorcerors wore a black long hat over a black robe embroidered with varying kinds of designs.
He had been here on several occasions with the emperor so he knew exactly where and whom to begin his search with.
Ren had approached a student from sorceror's academy on his way to school and dragged him into a corner, ripped off his uniform and opened a portal to the human world which he threw him into.
Thankfully the students of sorceror's academy still wore the damned hat which would aid him in concealing his unusual scarlet hair.
Ren had put on the boy's clothes and got into the academy, adopted a teacher which he questioned, threatened, killed and gotten rid off her body in the portal to the human world.
After she had seen his face, there was no way he would let her off.
The general hadn't gotten the exact information he wanted from her but as suspected the spells were locked up in Anthargod's harbor, somewhere in sorceror's headquarters,a building situated in the middle of sorceror's city.
Ren had heard of Anthargod and he hated him, even the details he knew of him.
A sorceror who had dedicated his life to creating and developing spells, one of which had killed him.
Ren found sorcerors HQ and stood at a corner to use soul sight.
He placed his hand on the ground outside to search the place for Anthargod's harbor.
With his eyes now glowing a golden light,Ren could see everyone and everything going on at the HQ.From the entrance door down to some secret room. But there were some rooms with shut ancient doors he couldn't see through. They held a kind of barrier which disrupted his field of vision.
Ren put in more magic energy in his soul sight and he was able to see through these doors and searching through them he found one in particular which he assumed was Anthargod's harbor,at least it held an enormous statue of the Sorceror in it and he was right.
Here he was now scanning the spells around him, using his powers he was able to finish reading the countless spells after few minutes.
When he couldn't find what he needed the general cursed as he kicked the dirt in fraustration.
Delu's barrier counter spell was here,he could sense it's intimidating magic aura.
But it wasn't on the walls,of cos he wouldn't expect the Sorcerors would be stupid enough to leave it there.
It was hidden here somewhere.
Ren paced back and forth in the room wondering if he had missed something.
Of cos he was missing something, but what?
Ren approached the statue in the middle of the room then stood to stare at it, watching the lifeless seven feet long stump of stone stare back at him.
The Sorceror was aged he could see and his beard, elongated in a triangular fashion touched the ground in front of his garment.
One of his arms was streched out and held a sceptar and in the other he held a scroll close to his chest.
Ren's black wings protruded then he neared the statue and peered deeply into its eyes as both his eyebrows arose with a demanding expression on his face.
"Old man...what are you hiding?"he muttered to the statue as if wanting to get an answer from it.
Ren titled his head a bit and noticed the statue's head was slightly titled in that same direction.
He noted the angle the statue's head was titled. It wasn't noticable when looking at the statue straight ahead or from below unless when up close. Then he observed, the statue wasn't looking ahead either, rather it's gaze was fixed on somewhere on the ancient floor.
Ren landed on the floor as he traced it's line of sight to a point two feet away from where he stood, then with a delightful grin on his face,he approached it.
