Chapter 9 - a Flower and a Sage

Flower panted ostentatiously. Her heart extravagantly accelerated.

'How did that happen?! Did he program this by himself? Or did Horatio instigated this? Is this some sort of witchcraft? They're literally making a joke out of me. What are they even getting by doing so…? Satisfaction I guess.'

Flower gulped down opulent spit. Excessively trying to calm her slightly trembling body down. She took a deep breath and went across the room. Reaching there, she picked up the teddy bear and glared at it.

That's when she took note of an heart shaped button at its core. She clicked it once. And after doing so, the pink teddy bear sounded again;

"Anthony loves you! Anthony loves you!"

Flower sighed, 'I must have accidentally clicked the button whilst hugging it. It looks so cute, why must it have been programmed with Anthony's name? Hmph!'

She carried it in her arms and placed it on her bed. Ignoring it, she moved closer to the remaining stuffs. Trying it out and taking it off, almost everything were oversized. Since Flower had lost a lot of weight and blood due to the accident, therefore most of the clothes turns out to not be her size.

'Although this wardrobe look to colossal. Still, I don't think all this clothes could fit in it…'

After thinking about it for a while. 'It's decided. Some will just have to remain in the box for the time being. I think I should take a bath quickly I have important things to do. I'll take care of these clothes later on. I have to be prompt about everything.'

Leaving the boxes and abundant packages. Flower left for the bathroom to take a bath. Amidst her peaceful bathing, she could hear that someone came into the room. She guessed it could be Regina, since Regina had told her that she would come back soon enough.

When Flower was done, she wrapped the towel around her body roughly. Opening the bathroom door, she came back into the room.

Flower had guessed right. Truly, it was Regina who came in and was presently sitting down on the sofa as usual. Since she was old, no one could blame her for always wanting to sit down quickly after every minutes of standing. Flower could see that Regina had already brought her breakfast and also a first aid kit for her wound.

This woman was indeed super caring. Always reminding Flower of her own mother, Mrs Thompson. They are so much alike.

Walking further into the room, Flower sat down on the bed with a towel on. Not sure of which clothes to pickup and wear at the same time.

"Your medicine is over there Young Lady beside the food I've embellished for you. Eat first and then have your medicine, that way, it would be able to work more effectively," Regina said pointing towards the tray of food and medicine that were present on the table surface.

Flower nodded, "I'll quickly get dressed. Then afterwards, I'll eat," she concurred. Turning towards the medicine, "But Mrs Regina. Will that medicine cause me to fall asleep just like it had did the last time?" Flower asked confusedly.

"No it won't. The medicine I gave you earlier that caused you to fall asleep isn't something I would like to be giving you everyday. It can only be given once in a week and once it has been given, it will be effective for at least a month. This medicine right here are just pain relievers. And I'm sure you know what that means," Regina replied.

Realizing everything that Regina just uttered, Flower replied, "Yes I do." She sighed and her face became saddened.

"Young Lady, have your breakfast quickly before it gets too cold. We're in a cold area afterall, so having cold things to eat wouldn't do good for your injuries," Regina stated.

"Okay, I will," Flower said. Ignoring her sorrows and longings. She arose from the edge line of the bedside and towards the wardrobe. Since she had already packed some clothes in the wardrobe beforehand.

Her eyes continually scanned the dress. Checking and observing them.

'I'm not sure of which one to wear. Perhaps… I should go with black. In that way, I'll be able to mourn Julius and Amanda's deaths for the day.'

Flower didn't know when warm liquids began to form in her eyes. All she knew was that it was going to start dripping down soon. Thus, with agility, she quickly got rid of them. She sniffled occasionally.

Flower gulped down excess spit. She exhaled. Gripping a black gown, a black hat and a black coat due to the bone-chilling glacial weather in Alaska. Flower decided to wear what she had chosen for herself. It is not like she was old fashioned anyways, she knew exactly what's trending and what would look good on her.

Not forgetting to pick a suitable pant for her butt and a suitable brassiere for her bosoms. It has been enough embarrassment, having to stay in the room with no underwears on all day.

In no time, Flower got into the bathroom. She dressed up promptly and advanced back into the room with a beautiful, neatly dressed self. Appearing mouthwatering, stunning and breathtaking all at once.

Regina smiled seeing a beauty in front of her. She couldn't help but want to give a compliment immediately, "you look extraordinarily beautiful, Young Lady," she stated. Now understanding the significant reasons why Anthony chose Flower for himself. Her smile widened more.

Flower didn't really see anything special in her ways of dressing. Flower glanced downwards at herself in awe, not seeing exactly what Regina was perceiving. Although Julius always told her that she looked beautiful. However, she just thought that Julius was just filling her up with sweet talks, likewise Amanda and Mrs Thompson.

After thinking about the whole thing momentarily. Flower hastily snapped out of her illusionary state. Playing back what Regina just said to her in her mind, she finally perpetuate a reply;

"Thank… thank you Mrs Regina."

After saying that. Flower turned to the tray of food on the table. She elevated it, sitting down on the sofa near Mrs Regina. Flower began eating, the food consist of a baked apple pie, fruit salad and fried chicken.

Flower enjoyed the smell of the food to the core. Even the smell of the food was enough to make one full already, it's like Regina is a magical cook that could make magic with everything she cooked. Well it's expected of her anyways, since she is old and has lived for so long, therefore, it's understandable that her ways of cooking was captivating.

Some moments later…

Flower was done eating soon enough, thus, she used her medicine.

'Goodness gracious! It's so bitter!' Flower squeezed her lips in a bizarre manner, planning on vomiting the medicine, "YUCK!"

Seeing Flower showing a sign of distress and discomfort, and since she was sitting near Regina. Regina began to rob the girl's back lovingly, pity and worries could be seen all-over her face. "Slowly, slowly," she said. "Drink some orange juice to calm your tongues and relax."

Flower panted profusely, taking the orange juice from the tray. She gulped it down and relaxed just like Regina had instructed. The more this woman take care of Flower, is the more she is reminded of her own sweet mother.

Flower exhaled sluggishly.

Originally, Flower was a type of person who had extreme hatred for medicine and any forms of drugs. Either pills, watery or powder, she hated them all to the core. Thankfully for her, she wasn't a type of person that plays roughly when she was little, talkless of having any injuries which would lead her to taking medicine. Neither is she a type of person who gets sick occasionally. This was why she wasn't used to taking medicine.

After she had calmed down completely. She decided to say what she had been wanting to say to Regina all along. However, she was a bit nervous that she was going to say so and she was also afraid that Regina might reject the suggestion. But Regina seemed kind, so Flower had no choice but to pull the trigger.

Hesitantly and anxiously, Flower spoke; "Um… Mrs Regina. If I may ask, is Anthony around?"

Regina thought for awhile before replying. Thankfully, she wasn't showing any look of displeasure to her question. This means that there was still a silver lining, since Regina looked like she was going to be giving a genuine answer. Although it had only been one minute since Flower asked the question, but then, Flower felt like Regina was taking thousands of years to reply.

'I hope she doesn't refuse, I hope she doesn't refuse, I hope she doesn't refuse,' Flower repeated to herself inwardly like a nursery rhyme.

At long last! Regina finally replied, "Yes he is around. Why do you ask?" She said and asked back.

Flower sighed as though what she was about to say was an abomination or something that should never be uttered in ones entire lifetime. "Can you please take me to him? I'll like to discuss something with him at present. That's the reason I'm asking, it's very important you see…" Flower stated calmly. At least, calm was what she looked like in Regina's point of view, but inwardly, she was unfathomably panicking and anxious. Anyways it didn't matter since she was the only one who has direct access to her mind. 'Woman! Speak up already! Would you?' Flower anticipated inwardly, unwelcoming the fact that Regina can be so sluggish in reciprocating sometimes.

With a smile, Regina replied meekly, "Okay then, I will," she agreed promptly.

Flower couldn't hold back her joy as she heard the housekeeper uttered this. 'Thank goodness. Finally this old woman is being sensible for once. Hopefully, I'll be able to talk to Anthony. And hopefully, he would be kind enough to agree. I pray so.'

Interrupting, Flower's pondering and snapping her out of her illusionary state, Regina spoke unexpectedly, "Young Lady, when would you like to go?"

Since Flower apparently has nothing to do, it's not like they would let her take a stroll outside or go to the mall or even explore the house. Therefore, she had plenty of time on her hands.

"Let's go this instant," Flower stated determinedly. Getting up from the sofa before Regina could, at least today she would get to catch glimpses of the inner part of the mansion. It was worth getting nervous and anxious about.

Later on, Regina also got up from the chair. "Follow me," she said.

Flower nodded, she didn't see any usefulness of Regina having to say that. Of course she was going to follow her anyways, she doesn't have to be told before doing so, she wasn't a baby.
