Chapter 18 Informational System. Tch! That sucks!

Sophia saw a flash of yellow text floating before her eyes.
''What!'' Sophia exclaimed out loud, further startling the shocked Kaile and Emma.
''What happened?'' Emma asked in panic, reaching her light caramel hand over to grab hold of Sophia's.
''What did you learn?'' Kaile asked a silly question, given it will be impossible for her to answer that question.
But he just couldn't help himself, his yandere-like overprotective side shot out again, turning his already low IQ when related to the safety of his loved ones, to negative values.
Feeling the grab of Emma's hand, and the worried voice of Kaile, Sophia quickly calmed down.
''It's nothing.'' She said to both of them.
''What do you mean nothing?'' Kaile said, beating Emma to it. Using her homemade superpower, she could tell Sophia was lying.
Sophia smiled, her typical smile she puts on when she is about to tease Kaile.
After calming down due to her mother and brother, and hearing the question from Kaile and seeing his face. Her senses tingled.
Just how could she miss the opportunity to tease Kaile?
So she didn't hesitate any longer and was about to tease Kaile when.
''Oww.''Sophia exclaimed as she rubbed the top of her head.
Looking to the right she can see Emma's stern gaze as she lowered her left hand.
What a joke!
With Emma here, if she says no teasing, then there will be no teasing going on in front of her.
She may allow them to mess around with each other but, there's a time and place for everything, and now isn't one of them.
So with a sigh, Sophia said.
''You probably won't be able to understand even if I tell you.'' Sophia said as she rubbed the part of her head that was hit, it's not like it hurt or anything like that, it was just too sudden that's all.
Sophia asked in her heart.
'System, can I tell other people about you, or will I be stopped?'
[Further knowledge of the Genis scripture is not allowed. Information about the system and functions are allowed to be known to the public.] The system's cold voice was heard, no sound of a humanlike or spirituality could be gleaned from its voice.
''Seriously.'' Sophia shouted out loud again, causing Emma and Kaile to become more impatient.
''What is it?'' Kaile said. Although he knows he probably can't learn anything, that still doesn't stop him from hoping. Right?
Emma sat silently, watching her daughter, but the intensity in her eyes couldn't be hidden, it seems her ambition is getting stronger, especially since she learned the first line of Genis.
'Can you tell me about the function of the system?' Sophia asked the system.
[The system is quite simple. The system can only give information about Genis energy and its speculated effect on a life form, nothing more than that.] The cold voice sounded in Sophia's heart.
'That's it? So there is no special space? No hidden tasks? No lottery rewards? Just nothing?' Sophia's disappointed voice sounded in her heart.

'What a disappointment.' Sophia said with the shake of her head.
Although what the system offers is actually reality shattering for a group of lifeforms that have no idea on how or what something is, to be told to them directly. Sophia has read too many novels that have systems that go against the sky, so seeing this one that can only be called an informational system, disappointed her greatly.
How spoiled.
And delusional. In the future she will understand.
That disappointment was seen in Emma's eyes, just before she was going to speak about it, Sophia said.
''I gained a system.''
''What!'' Emma and Kaile explained. Kaile got up in excitement and leaned over the dark grey spotted marble island.
He looked like a drug dealer leaning over the table in a nightclub, trying to keep quiet about the product he was explaining to his new customer.
''Like in the novels we read on weekends?'' Emma said excitedly with a glow in her eyes, if she had a system wouldn't everything be much easier, she thought things like that to herself.
Sophia shook her head, the disappointment clearly written all over her face, something Emma noticed, instantly dying down all her fiery expectations.
With that she let go of Sophia's hand and sat on her seat properly, without leaning over like Kaile is still doing.
In fact Kaile still has that silly smile on his face.
After all he knows just who created everything, and given her temperament, just how could it be anything simple?
''It's an informational system.'' Sophia said without much interest.
''Explain it properly darling.'' Emma said, although not as excited anymore, she was still interested in understanding the system properly.
''The system is created to give information about how Genis energy effects lifeforms, and also about what has happened to them after Genis energy affected them.''
Kaile's smile froze.
''Are you sure that was all there was too it?'' He asked.
''That's all I was told, ah, wait I haven't checked my profile yet. Maybe there's something else.'' She said, towards the end her monotonous voice became more excited to have a look.
'System, show me my status.'
