Chapter 34 - Creating a Legend (5)

[Cloud of Thunder and Lightning]

A cloud that carries the same wrath of the thunder god and rains down lightning over the ground with you at the centre.

Level: 1

Range: 30 metres

. .

The night before, the skill Ren was creating completed, and from what he understood, it centre of the activation would be where he was at the given time of the skill's activation, which meant all he needed to do was position himself well and let the rest play.

'The only problem though, there's no indication how long it takes to activate.'

Ren had jumped into the embrace of his enemies planning to kill as many as possible with this new skill. 'For a level one skill, the range is more than impressive.' If skills had ranks, Ren was sure this skill would be nothing lower than S rank.

Flying straight into the midst of his enemies, Ren used his slash skill first to reduce the number of those around him in a ten metre radius, but with the huge numbers it didn't seem to do much. Before they could reach him again, he activated the skill, and with great force, energy left his body and travelled wild. Because the skill windows didn't tell how much force is required for a skill, Ren had no idea just how tasking the skill would be, but he was thankful that he inly used his slash skill that was very efficient when it came to energy consumption.

'I only activated it once, but it actually took away 35 whole points… this is too brutal!'

Ren had 40 points in his force stat, activating this skill meant he now had barely 5 points remaining.

'This is so brutal, thankfully, I have recovery potions.'

Ren looked at his inventory immediately and took out two force recovery potions. These potions would help recover ten points of force, so drinking two meant he now had about 25 points again.

Ren kept his distance from the warriors all around him while waiting for his AOE skill to fully activate, to his disappointment, it was taking longer than expected. Well, it wasn't completely unexpected.

Just some seconds after Ren activated the skill, he could see how the clouds above them in the sky darkened, and more clouds formed out of thin air, and very soon following that, strong winds started blowing all across the battlefield. Now, at this point Ren couldn't tell if it would also rain, so he just watched.

After 3 minutes of constant rumbling in the skies and strong winds on the earth, the first lightning strike fell on the ground. The bolt of lightning was as big as bus, and the impact left behind a shallow crater on the ground like it had been hammered by a great force.

'Finally…'

*Rumble *Rumble *Crackle *Crash *Crash

Just as indicated, within a 30 metre radius from where Ren stood, countless bolts of lightning fell on the ground like an imitation of the anger of a god, killing hundreds of warriors who were within that space. Perhaps, the most interesting aspect was that it went on for 15 seconds. For a level 1 skill, the time it took for the skill to take full effect wasn't bad at all, the range was good and it struck continuously without any breaks, to top it off, it went on for 15 whole seconds.

"These guys really don't have any brains left and are just puppets. They just run head into an obvious AOE attack without any plan or care." In the end it benefitted Ren as he had killed more than he thought he would. Also, he made one important deduction from using the skill, and it was the fact that the lightning strikes were completely random and didn't target any specific enemy. Even then, the damage was far greater than Ren anticipated, and even then there were no surviving enemies.

'Yet another OP skill it seems…'

Because the warriors kept running into the attack, Ren took out more than he normally would in a different situation, so it worked overwhelmingly in his favour.

The remaining enemies weren't up to 300, so it didn't take much time for Ren to take care of them with 'god speed' activated. Taking care of the commanders was also a piece of cake since he now knew what to expect from them.

"These drops are just, too good…"

-Fallen Warrior Commander Phantom

-Instant Level Up Card x3

-Random stat Increase card

These were from clearing the special dungeon, it was simply amazing. Looking at the rewards, Ren could tell what the phantom was, he had heard of such a thing happening, though those that get the phantom of monsters to fight with them can be counted with ten fingers.

"The instant level up card, I got three at once. With these, I can even give it to another person so they can level up instantly and increase their strength…" Ren said as he took out the three cards.

Without a second thought, he tore the cards all at once and instantly levelled up three times. He was already level 17 before using the cards, so he went up all the way to level 20 after using the cards.

'I gained so much from just this one raid…' Not to mention, it hadn't even been 15 minutes since he entered the dungeon this time.

Ren left the dungeon shortly after, and to say the least, the guard couldn't believe his eyes, this time there was also someone else standing there with the regular guard.

"I'll be back in three hours then."

"It hasn't even been 15 minutes…"

"I can't believe my eyes, who is that kid?… This is too much…"
