SPOILERS: GET SOME HEALTHY SNACKS, YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE THIS ONE. STILL A LONG WAY FROM EVEN MORE AWESOME CHAPTERS AHEAD THOUGH.

Soon enough, Mura was registered under Gilgamesh and the Gilgamesh team was named Team Zero. News soon spread amongst the squad leaders and team leaders about the new addition to the ranks. Many couldn't believe someone like Gilgamesh earned the right to lead a confirmed rogue chunin that was now registered in the village. They were happy that a new chunin joined them but were unhappy about the decision regarding Gilgamesh since much wasn't known about him.

Even his advancement to the chunin rank was sketchy. He was just promoted without taking the chunin exams, the only thing they respected about the reports on him was that he was a high-level sensory type that surpassed those at his rank and even reached Kage levels which made the matter less believable. But if The Third could vouch for him that was at least enough of an assessment although some held the opinion that The Third growing old and senile.

To clear up the unrest Shikaku arranged for Gilgamesh's team zero to be a backup or reinforcement team for any team on a difficult mission. Shikaku could finally understand Gilgamesh after seeing his battle with Mura. To him, Gilgamesh had displayed high levels of proficiency in his jutsu that he had even manipulated the wind for flight and reduced chakra consumption on top of it. To Shikaku, this was a ninja who could only grow with intense battles and nothing less, he theorized that the moves and skillset Gilgamesh showed that day were just created in the heat of battle and more of this will only lead to a stronger, more experienced and more capable ninja.

Months passed, but Shisui kept sending letters to Gilgamesh every three months via merchants he met on the way before he arrived at his destination just to check in with his new master as required and receive new information and orders. Gilgamesh ordered Shisui to halt his journey while he worked on a new jutsu.

Months passed again, and Mura started training harshly with Gilgamesh. Whenever they trained the terrain would always change since Gilgamesh wanted to rush his growth speed by exposing him to large areas of attacks.

In one particular training session, Gilgamesh completely modified his golden fireball jutsu. After figuring out he could almost endlessly add more chakra and mana to his jutsu to cause them to become large areas of attacks, he simply increased his control of his fireball jutsu and could now control flames without the need to spit fireballs. He could also summon lightning with his palms or around him without the need to weave hand signs now.

His water elemental jutsu could now flood the forest, and his proficiency in his earth-style jutsu also increased as well.

Mura couldn't believe what he was seeing in each training session. He was forced to run at the start of each session since Gilgamesh's attacks would threaten the geography of the environment every time he launched something massive.

MURA'S POV

What kind of attack is this? How I most supposed to counter an ocean? Gilgamesh sensei is strong, too strong for his age but acts and talks wisely most of the time but can demand the most insane things from me.

I developed my Flowing Fist Vortex attack in the heat of the moment but I AM NOT EVEN GIVEN THE TIME TO ACTIVATE AGAIN!

Two weeks passed and we kept changing the places we trained in the forest since it would be flattened. There was one time we were training and we accidentally took out a group of bandits without us knowing. Anyway, knowing Gilgamesh sensei, he probably knew they were there and used that opportunity to take them out and had me drag them to the village for arrest and bounty collection!

Finally! I earned my first Ryo and could buy something other than Ramen! For some reason, the ramen shop owner never charges Gilgamesh anything for his Ramen and I. But that's not important, now I can eat real food!

Two months passed by like a week since Sensei's training session was so heavy that I had forgotten that my body made improvements on its own as well. I didn't realize how fast I had gotten until I was asked by sensei to round up some bandits causing trouble for merchants at the outskirts of the village.

I used to look at rogue ninjas or bandits as people to fight now I see them as my meal ticket. So far, no bandit has forced me to use my Flowing Vortex Fist, and this increased the reputation of my sensei.

A year passed after the Uchiha massacre and Sensei left me to develop my own ninjutsu to escape him since the next training would involve him hunting me down and me surviving. As if that was any different from what we have been doing!

But one thing I fear is being hunted by him! Even in our training sessions, it keeps getting harder and harder to sense his jutsu attacks. It seems he is getting better at concealing how much chakra he infuses into every jutsu he casts! If I hadn't learned from sensei's private visits to Naruto from time to time, I would have thought that Gilgamesh was the nine-tailed jinchuriki with the amount of chakra he possessed. How is he still a chunin at this point?

Anyway, I still anticipate the gift sensei promised me but he is currently busy now and I am enjoying the break of not worrying about life after every exchange from sensei.

MURA'S POV OVER

A year passed after the Uchiha clan massacre and Naruto kept looking for training methods to help him get stronger but couldn't find them since no one was willing to help him. He had Gilgamesh as his friend who was more than eager to help but he wanted to show some rivalry by doing it alone. Being the nosy and sneaky kid he was, Naruto would go to different clans and spy on them till he got caught and thrown out with bread thrown at him sometimes since some thought that he was hungry and trying to steal.

Unknown to them, Naruto would try to cram any attack he saw in his head visually and replicate it to the best of his abilities alone in the forest. He even managed to copy some Hyuga taijutsu, although there wasn't much he could do since he never had guidance. Naruto didn't know that Gilgamesh wasn't even completely human in the first place but kept pushing himself nonetheless so he could show his friend that he too could become a capable ninja
