Gilgamesh ignored Anko and turned to face Ebisu. "You know what these bandits were trying to do. They were not just planning a regular kidnapping and ransom situation; they were also trying to deface Konoha."

Anko wanted to correct Gilgamesh, but he continued, "Mura here told me how he found you. You were covered with paper bombs ready to explode if not carefully removed, which means they never had plans of sending you back alive. And from what I can see, your chakra channels have been temporarily blocked, meaning you couldn't have escaped if you wanted."

Gilgamesh's body flickered from its initial position to Anko's side.

'He's fast,' Anko thought as she almost didn't see him coming. She made an evasive movement, but Gilgamesh stopped her and began poking her body with his right index finger, causing Anko to moan and her face to flush.

Ebisu couldn't help but draw his glasses down as his face flushed red. The merchant lady found the sounds Anko made a bit… distracting, but she immediately realised Gilgamesh used the same moves the bandit leader used on Anko when they were captured.

'Maybe there is some credibility to this boy who doesn't respect his seniors,' the merchant lady thought to herself, while Mura studied and tried to memorise Gilgamesh's movements, thinking he might use this move one day.

"There, now stop smiling sheepishly. I have already unblocked your chakra channels," Gilgamesh said as he returned to Ebisu, who immediately straightened himself out. Ebisu was not going to miss a chance to see Anko making lewd noises for the world and would treasure such memories until his death.

'Thank you, Gilgamesh! I never doubted you for a second!' Ebisu smiled inwardly but wore a serious expression on his face.

Anko soon recovered after a full minute of what she was experiencing and came to her senses after regulating herself with her chakra flow.

"So you could see my chakra channels, how?" Anko wanted to know if he was a Hyuga, but he didn't have white eyes, or if he was an Uchiha, but the only Uchiha confirmed to be alive in the village was Sasuke.

"Now that you have calmed down, we can continue. As I was saying, we cannot let this slide. I think one of the great nations is behind this. From Ebisu's story, the bandits knew about the merchant and were very organised, which led them to have the upper hand even though they were weaker than both of you. But they also had a goal. If they managed to kill a full-fledged jounin like yourself, Anko, the other villages would think we had become even weaker after The Fourth's passing." Gilgamesh caught the attention of everyone as they listened closely.

"Be quick, those bandits will get here soon. They might have dealt with my summon by now. So what are you trying to say?" Anko asked calmly.

"I say we show them why they shouldn't mess with us again. And that is what I am going to do. Watch!" Gilgamesh said as he took to the skies, causing winds to push against his group and the trees around in his wake.

"Alright, let's do this." Gilgamesh prepared himself as he used a basic sound jutsu to enhance his voice so he could be heard by everyone in the Hidden Grass Village.

"People of the Hidden Grass Village!" Gilgamesh started.

"Oh, what is he going to do now?" Anko looked worried as she grabbed the merchant lady and jumped to the top of the highest tree she could find. Mura and Ebisu also did the same and blended with the trees to observe Gilgamesh safely and remain unseen.

"I am Gilgamesh. You don't know my name, but from today onwards, my name will be known throughout these lands. Recently, a group of bandits hired by a nearby nation captured one of our beloved shinobi and tried to kill them to spark another war. But fear not, I am only here to enact the justice of the Hidden Leaf on these criminals whom I have led to the outskirts of your village so that no civilians will be harmed. We also practice diplomacy like you and sent a message to your leaders to drag these criminals here but they failed to do so, therefore I will punish them for all to see!"

By now, Gilgamesh had the attention of everyone in the village as those who retreated to their homes came out and were dumbfounded when they saw a golden-haired boy flying above them, just a manageable distance away from their borders. Even the bandits stopped in their tracks after they finally subdued Anko's snake to listen.

"And you expect us to believe that after you attacked us with a mist jutsu? How do we know you are not one of the bandits?" The chief guard of the shinobi border patrol wasn't buying any of it and prepared his men for attack.

"Oh, is that so? So are you the country that is trying to instigate another ninja war by hosting those bandits in your lands? Maybe I should see your leader first before punishing the criminals you failed to control. That alone speaks enough about your integrity if you can't even control petty bandits." Gilgamesh shot back.

The chief guard wanted to know why a capable ninja from Konoha would also let themselves get captured but decided to keep quiet. Gilgamesh was right; they weren't exactly on top of things when it came to dealing with criminals, as Orochimaru would come here soon and conduct experiments.

"Leaving that aside. This is how we punish those who think they can stain the reputation of the village founded by one said to be the God of Shinobi." Gilgamesh concluded. His last statement brought a feeling of camaraderie to Anko and Ebisu, even though they didn't like the way Gilgamesh handled things.

His last statement brought them together in spirit as they remembered that they couldn't allow such a fine heritage to be sullied easily.
