"Kevin! My cousin is here!"

Kevin ignored the call and simply embraced Gwen until she gave in.

"So, what are you planning to do with your long hair? Aren't you going to cut it or at least tie it back? It's almost as long as mine," Gwen suggested as she played with his hair.

"If not longer." Kevin scoffed.

"That reminds me. I bought a hairpin for that," Kevin reached for his coat and brought out a silver hairpin.

"Are you trying to sell the Asian pop idol look? Not bad. So, I am dating a pop star!" Gwen giggled, taking the hairpin from Kevin's hand and placing it in his hair.

She was still in front of him, so she had to lean forward, giving Kevin's head a soft cushion to rest on for a brief three seconds as she sat back on his thigh.

"There, that looks good. Maybe too good. I don't want too many girls around you. I already have competition off-world," Gwen smiled, thinking of how she could readjust the hairpin.

"There's a lot I can't reveal yet. You can't go it alone," Grandpa Max's hologram figure could be seen on a holoviewer Ben kept rewatching as if looking for a hidden clue.

"Agh. Alright, Ben, I get it. You want to find your grandpa. You remind me of a dog I used to have that would gnaw at a spot on his butt over and over until the vet made us put a cone around his neck," Kevin got up from the boot of his car with Gwen.

"Maybe you need a cone?" Kevin smirked.

"You need to put together a team," the voice from the holoviewer continued.

"Easy does it, Kevin. At least I don't have to watch you two lovebirds," Ben shut off the holoviewer and got up to meet the gang.

"Let's go bust some alien heads," Kevin said, cracking his knuckles, and Ben gave him a look with his eyebrows raised.

"Or fight some aliens?" Kevin added.

"This is Fishface's badge. We… lost him while chasing the Forever Knights a while back," Ben said as he brought out a badge, which displayed a holographic mapping system.

"Each of these blips shows the location of another badge," Ben continued as Kevin leaned in with Gwen.

"And where there's a badge, we will find a plumber, or at least a plumber's kid. Hold on to this for now," Ben said, giving Kevin the plumber badge.

"You will need it since you are driving us to the nearest location," Ben said as he walked closer to Kevin's car.

"What happened to your other car?" Ben asked as Kevin unlocked the car with a thought signal. Kevin had gotten in tune with his car so often that he didn't need a key to make it function; the car was his literally in every sense.

Kevin took the badge and connected it to his car.

As soon as the team got inside, they were surprised at how futuristic the dashboard of Kevin's car looked. There were screens, buttons, and a hologram showing what the plumber's badge displayed in real time.

"Where did you steal this from?" Ben asked as he got into the back seat.

"Ben! Kevin, did you steal this car?" Gwen asked as she made herself comfortable in the passenger seat.

"No. I bought and upgraded it. Simple. Do you think you can see cars like this with advanced technology in a dealership?" Kevin asked, and his claim made sense to the duo.

"WOAH! So you still have Upgrade?" Ben asked, wondering if Kevin kept all ten aliens he previously absorbed from his Omnitrix and if he had a better handle on controlling them.

Kevin smiled and shrugged as he started the engine and left the driveway.

On a busy highway,

A girl in a white shirt and a short black skirt could be seen walking on the sidewalk groggily as if she had too many beers to drink that night.

The girl groggily crossed the busy road, causing a truck driver to swerve out of the way and into the piers of a highway bridge, destroying it in the process.

Kevin and the gang clearly heard the loud noise caused by the destruction of the pier and felt the ground below them rumble.

Kevin stopped his car and they all got out immediately to inspect what had happened.

The bridge was collapsing, and cars with people inside were on top of the bridge. This prompted the young adults to rush over and see why the bridge was collapsing, only to find a truck that had tumbled over with fire on its edges.

Kevin sighed and immediately jumped from the bridge, breaking his landing with flight as he hovered two inches above the ground and then landed.

Kevin's hair turned red as the flames on the truck drew closer to him until they all swirled around him and were no longer visible.

Wasting no time, Kevin yanked away the door from the truck and carefully moved the driver, who appeared to have passed out.

As he did so, his senses picked up on a flying projectile watching from a distance and thought it was Ben as he focused on the rescue.

"Gwen!" Ben cried out as Gwen created purple steps to run on until she came across the part of the bridge that was collapsing.

A couple in a car were screaming as their car kept slipping away. Gwen made a slide for the car as it fell off the bridge, directing it down safely onto the main road below.

The bridge was still unstable as the occupants of the cars came outside to save their lives. Gwen created another slide, which the people didn't question and went down like children on a playground slide. There were even adults below the slide ensuring that the others got down safely. Maybe mutants weren't so special to them?

Ben decided to take action in holding the bridge somehow and decided a big alien was capable of the job. He turned the dial on his Omnitrix until he found something that looked big and slammed on the dial.

"Humongousaur!"
