After mingling with the other guests for a good few minutes, Leon and Mila excused themselves from the group to get some fresh air from the attention that they got from the guests.
It was so exhausting that they immediately went to a corner of the ballroom where not everyone was going.
As they moved to the quieter corner of the ballroom, Mila let out a sigh of relief, grateful for the respite from the constant scrutiny and attention of the other guests.
Leon leaned against the wall, his expression thoughtful as he glanced around the room. "I didn't expect so much attention tonight," he remarked, running a hand through his hair.
Mila nodded in agreement, her gaze scanning the room for any familiar faces. "It seems everyone wanted to get a piece from us," she replied, her tone tinged with amusement.
