"I did," Raymond answered.

Raymond's laid-back attitude while he answered her got Ariel wondering if it wasn't a big deal on his path.

"I would've waited for White if it wasn't urgent but..." He approached her. "You were bleeding and all I could think of was how to ease your pain."

Hearing his words, Ariel's heart thumped. She heard it vividly hitting against her ribcage. This man... Did he have any idea what his words implied to her? He probably didn't, if not, he wouldn't carelessly speak them.

"I... I'm going to get changed." She said and Raymond started heading for the door. "Are you leaving?" She asked him and he turned to her.

"Yes, I..." He looked away. "There are a few matters I need to see to." He said and she nodded.

"Yes, of course. You have to work." She said and he left through the door, gently closing it as he made his exit.
