Maxwell blinked his eyes. That was unexpected. To think that was what she prioritized at such a moment. He laughed.
"Seriously, you're not normal," Jane said and turned to Rachael.
She felt it before. Since earlier on, everywhere she went, she would see him. It was like he was keeping her under surveillance.
"No 'thank you', no problem," Maxwell said with a simple shrug and did not deny that he was following her. Well, he was indeed following her at the request of his dear wife.
Jane shook her head and shook out the creepy feeling he gave her.
"Mr Stein." She called and he sighed. No use trying to hide what was already in the open.
"Let's talk in the living room." He said and shifted his gaze to Rachael. "You didn't do anything wrong so you don't have to look so guilty." He said and kissed her forehead. "Let's go out."
"I'll go and find Romeo instead." She said and hopped down from the bed.
