Paige was silent. He was such a fool in love.
"Won't you ask me how I feel about you?" She suddenly asked him and he shook his head.
"You already agreed to marry me and keep me around and that's all that matters."
"So you don't want to know what my heart feels for you?" She asked but he remained silent.
"I do want to hear it but you're too honest." he said. "I would rather live in oblivion of how you really feel than get broken with your response."
She tried not to look at his face and lowered her head.
"For the record, I like younger guys and you just happen to be my type." She said and smiled brightly. "Was that a satisfactory answer?"
Maxwell watched her with his eyes gradually growing teary and he buried his face in her hair.
"Haha, are you about to cry again?" She asked but he wouldn't answer and she could only laugh.
