"Now that that's solved, do you think it's safe to bring up another issue that suddenly crept up?" Paige asked, pursing her lips and then licking it.
"What do you mean another issue?" Steve asked, completely oblivious of what she was going to say.
"There was an accident and…"
"Wait, Paige, tell me Rachael wasn't involved." Steve said, feeling his sweat suddenly drip down his forehead.
"Yes, sadly she was involved. We're currently in the hospital and Rachael is unconscious."
"Rachael is unconscious?" He exclaimed a little too loud and Raymond who had just entered his room, turned grim as he asked in a furious tone,
"What did you just say? What happened to Racheal?"
Paige heard Raymond's voice and covered her mouth. Did he hear? Oh no, this was the worst.
