At the end of the fun time at the aquarium, Rachael once again asked Raymond to join them for some desserts.
Alexa was getting even more uncomfortable with Rachael's persistence but Raymond looked okay with it. He was literally liking every demand Rachael threw at him and this made her realize something.
"When does your plane leave?" Alexa asked Raymond while they had coffee.
"I… I'll just reschedule it." Raymond said, meaning he had already missed the time of his flight.
"Are you sure you want to be doing this?" Alexa asked him and glanced over at Rachael. "You can always say no."
"But I don't want to say no." Raymond said and Alexa fell silent.
She nodded and sipped on her coffee. Rachael was sinking in the cake that she had been served and happily drinking cocoa.
Alexa hated to admit it but Rachael looked happier than she ever did with her. Did she secretly long for a father?
