Javen was a guy living in the same building but two floors downward and also her fellow lecturer in the university. They got close while seeing each other often and though she didn't like accepting favors, Javen was the kind of guy who was relentless about helping.
He had made his intentions clear that he wanted to be in an intimate relationship with Alexa but she always shunned the idea and made it clear to him that she wasn't interested in that sort of relationship.
But, as relentless as he was, he still went on with giving her gifts. She didn't reject them either because she knew she already made it clear to him that she wouldn't get in a relationship with him so her accepting his gifts wasn't an act of giving him false hope.
