It was Lycan.
He would not stop knocking.
"Kaya..." He said, this time there was worry in his voice.
I heard his footsteps retreating and I stood up and looked around, my wrist was very red and it had started to swell, pain made me wince as I tried told turn my wrist. I needed to cover it up before Lycan would see it and then maybe Elvis would do something more sinister as a revenge.
I heard the locks crackling and I turned around as soon as Lycan pushed the door open.
"Lycan!." I said forcing a smile on my face, I threw my right hand behind my back
"Baby, are you alright?." He asked me, maybe my smile was too wide.
"I'm fine. Why do you ask?." I asked him.
"You locked the door." He said.
"Yeah, I did. I wanted to take my bath and when you said you were coming soon, I didn't know you meant this soon." I told him. "I didn't want someone to barge in and see me naked." I swallowed hard.
" Was Elvis here?. " he asked me.
"Your friend from the hospital, no, he wasn't." I told him.
A frown crossed his face, a deep frown.
I bit the bottom of my lips and I held my breath.
"Kaya... Why are you lying to me?." He asked me walking towards me, his voice was like thunder, I took many steps backwards but one of his step would cover most of the distance.
"Lying to you... Why would I be lying to you?. " I asked him.
" Stop it." He said again, this time he was demanding me to stop lying, the situation had almost gone out of hand very quickly, how could he even catch up on things so quickly.
" I don't know what you're talking about." I told him.
" I can smell Elvis all over you, I could smell him from downstairs." He told me.
I remembered that Elvis's cologne was as strong as hell.
I closed my eyes and I let out a sigh, when I opened my eyes Lycan looked hurt.
I wondered what I was supposed to tell him, that his mother hates me so much, his friends think I'm a gold digger and although I'm already falling in love with him, I had values and I needed to leave him in order for peace to reign...
"Did he try to touch you?." Lycan asked me making me snap out of thoughts.
"Jeez, no." I said, immediately, like a flash of light, his eyes went to my wrist, I didn't realize what happened until he had already seen it. I didn't even know when I had dropped my hand at my side.
He closed the distance between us and took my hand.
" What happened, you better start talking." Lycan said,
" Nothing..." I whispered remembering Elvis's threats. "I had wrung my hand while I was trying to…stop staring at me like that please, you asked for the truth." I told him.
He turned away and he started walking.
"Wait, where are you going?." I asked him, it was very ironical as he stomped the flowers in the hallway to death.
"Lycan stop!." He wasn't listening, it was as if I was just talking to a angry, dangerous looking statue. "Would you just stop please, tell me where you're going?." I asked him.
"If you wouldn't tell me what happened why don't I just go and ask Elvis himself." He said. It was hard to catch up to him, I almost fell down the stairs.
"Christ can you just not be so angry. You're scaring me." I told him, he stopped walking.
"I'm scaring you, I am scaring you?." He asked me walking towards me. "I come home after I left you in the space of two hours and you have a fucking hand print on your wrist, you winced when I held it and when I asked you about it you lied to me, you looked me in the eye and lied to me, who is scaring who?."
" It's different. I didn't just lie, I.. I have a reason." I told him.
"Kaya, It's me, I'm not just some guy, you don't hide anything from me. You tell me everything and you tell me the truth." He said in a soft tone.
I explained what happened after he promised me that he wouldn't hurt Elvis.
" Where are you going, you just told me that you'd leave Elvis, you promised." I told him.
" There is no how that I would leave him after what he did to you." He said.
" It's just like a scratch, it doesn't hurt me." I told him.
" Well it hurts me." He replied and the heavy doors banged shut.
I let out a sigh, walked to a couch and I snuggled Into it.
Gabby's POV
There was a knock on the door, I took a peek in the curtains, it was the private investigator that had been asking me questions about Kaya. He promised to pay me a hundred thousand dollars to tell him the gruesome things that Kaya had done. Kaya told me her secrets, she never held anything back.
Kaya was too much of good girl. There was nothing bad that she had done, nothing at all and I needed that money and anyways they were paying me to do something that I would do for free.
He hadn't paid me yet but he was supposed to give me the money today. I didn't care what the information would be used for, I guess that Jake had taken her to a hell hole where she would suffer, ultimately she might had ended up as a sex slave, and maybe a sex addict by the time they're fine with her.
"Good morning." I said cheerfully.
The man didn't even acknowledge my greeting, he handed me a cheque of two hundred thousand dollars.
"Two hundred... It was doubled?." I asked as my eyes widened in shock.
"Let's just say that the people I work for are very generous and wealthy." The man said and with that he turned away and left, immediately he drove off in his expensive looking car, I saw Jake's car pull up in my drive way.
