Jacob's explanation about the Slime Hutch allowed Elaina to slowly understand its purpose. She didn't know that slimes have some uses aside from their dropped materials and cores collected every time they are killed. Not only that but breeding slimes was something she didn't know was also being done voluntarily by many people to the point that she was not expecting to hear it.
No wonder the Goddess of Taming is adamant for her to ready a place for a slime to house on, a slime can become a money maker if they are handled well.
However, the problem is that Elaina doesn't have enough money to purchase the slime hutch. Not only that but it is expensive in materials as the building materials must be anti-corrosive or else the building will just corrode from the slime's abilities and will let the slime escape.
