Chereads / A Single Mother's Farm of the Gods / Chapter 52 - Rewards and Trophy

Chapter 52 - Rewards and Trophy

Elaina was ecstatic after winning. Not only did she win the contest, but she also gained some rewards that will help the farm a lot more. She forgets feeling of the morning sickness she felt earlier after receiving the rewards.

As she opened the door, a box containing the rewards was present. The only thing that caused Elaina to frown was the fact that the box was big.

"Julia, can you help me move this inside?" Elaina asked.

"Coming! What is- woah! That's a big box, Sis!" Julia was surprised at the box.

"Help me remove the box, yes?" Elaina began unwrapping the box and opening it up. Julia came to help as well and after a few ways to tear the box, the contents were revealed.

Aside from the Blueprint and the seeds that Elaina will have to order on the ledger separately the box contains a big trophy made of gold and a pouch containing 1000 gold coins. The trophy is not like the trophy that can be displayed on a shelf. This trophy is as big as a small child.

"Woah! Sis! Where did you get this!? This...this trophy is huge!" Julia was surprised after seeing the gold trophy that Elaina was looking at.

The god suddenly talked to Elaina.

"[The trophy is not an ordinary trophy, Elaina. It has an effect that would affect your farm positively as long as it is on the farm.]"

"Effects? Oh yeah, according to the reward parts, a trophy with effects will be part of the rewards. Does that mean, this trophy will put its effects as long as it is in display?"

"[Yes. Its effects will be present for you as long as you display it. So if possible, display it anywhere. Even inside the house, the effects will be in effect.]"

"Okay then...so what are the effects?"

"[As long as the trophy is present, the yield of all your plants will be doubled. Even the yield of animals will be doubled as well. The effects will stack from other blessings as well as the fertilizer's effect so feel free to increase your yield more in other ways.]"

"That...that is broken..." Elaina was speechless. After all, this is not just something she can just say she can just shrug. An increase in yield that stacks with effects that do the same thing is something that would just be too much for her. This is not just going to break the balance of her plants, but this will also be something that many farmers would dream of.

She stares at the trophy before her. It is a trophy with the shape of a radish. It was not ridiculous to look at but because of its gold color, anyone would have their eyes locked on to it. But she can't get rid of it, the effects are just too good to pass up.

"Sis...I don't know who sent you this one, but this is too eye-catching for anyone to see. And the fact that it is made of pure gold...this will be something that will be easily stolen from us if some people want to steal from us," Julia told her concerns.

"Why are we afraid of thieves? Shouldn't thieves be afraid of us? If they tried to steal this, you would know what happens to them, yes?" Elaina grinned.

"Ah..." Julia then realized this and sighed. "Yeah, I guess you are right. The thieves would beg for us as a result."

Elaina and Julia carry the trophy to the side and display it there. Despite it being made of pure gold, it is not that heavy and the two were able to carry it normally compared to usually heavy statues which should be the norm when it comes to gold statues.

"Is it just me or this statue was not as heavy as I thought it would be? Gold statues should be heavy, right?" Julia looked at Elaina.

"Well, I do think they are heavy but I don't really have any idea why this isn't that heavy so don't look at me and ask for answers because...I don't know."

Julia shrugged it and went to the kitchen after helping Elaina put the trophy down. As for Elaina, she sighed in relief as Julia didn't push any questions regarding the origins of the trophy. The more she asks, the more she will have no idea what to say to her about it.

"Alright. So about the seeds and the blueprint, do I have to select them on the Ledger?" Elaina asked.

"[Yes. Since it was your choice, you can choose which of them would be what you will receive for free. Remember, only 10 different bags of seeds and 1 blueprint for free. If you go past the number, an additional cost will be reduced to your FP balance, alright?]"

"I know that. Don't worry about it, and besides, even if I increased my purchase, I can buy it since I got lots of FP, you don't need to be too worried about it."

After Elaina said those words as a response to the god, she headed to the ledger and immediately went to the blueprints section. After all, there is one blueprint that she has been eyeing even before she gets the invitation to join the bazaar.

She didn't even look on the other blueprints and instead, purchased what she was eyeing for. The Sprinkler blueprint. After purchasing it, she closed the ledger which made the god surprised.

"[You won't claim the seeds?]"

"It's not like it will expire anytime soon right? Unless it expires, then I will hold it for now."

"[It won't expire but why would you hold your purchase? I thought humans like rewards and freebies. Then why are you not claiming it?]"

"There is time for everything. Besides, I have so many plants planted on the field currently, and with my pregnancy, I wanted to limit my movements and work progress to a minimal level for now. And besides, it might be a better idea to keep this one until summer. With most of the profit-making crops and fruits available during summer and fall, I should keep this freebie voucher on hold for now."

The god couldn't give a good response to her about it so she skips over it. It didn't take long for her to hear some noises on the front door. As she opens the door, the box containing her delivery has arrived. Inside of it is the complete blueprint of the sprinkler and how to make it. With the recipe in hand, its time to have automated sprinklers installed on the farm, reducing her time to water the plants in the future. For Elaina, the time for Automated farming will arrive sooner or later than expected.
