"N-no, you can't...please. Don't...don't do this, Jade," She responded shakily, before a look of dismay appeared on her face as I made my move.
"That's bloody cold, Jade...though I would have done the same thing if I were in your shoes," Remarked Estella...as I cut Aura's piece with mine.
"Damn it! I was so close to the home stretch! Now I have to start all over again!" Groaned Aura, moving the piece back to the starting block as she added saltily, "I'm so gonna get you back for that..."
Today's the 25th of October, 1041, over a year has passed since the battle against the Chaos Bringer. Things have been nice and peaceful since then, there haven't been any incidents of note over the last year or so, and after everything I've been through, I'm not going to take that for granted.
