Chapter 52 - Fifty-Second

The first day of the trip was relatively quiet, much like it had been the first time on the way to that manor before the kidnapping thing.

There were no surprise attacks, and no signs of orcs on the road. Just a pleasant afternoon traveling along a river through wooded lands, with nothing exciting happening.

The most notable occurrence was Merwyn bringing fish back in his beak when they took a break and Merwyn felt like turning into a bird for a bit.

Mia got grumpy, wanting a meat dish, but refusing to take part in Merwyn's fish. She claimed his face 'simply wasn't fish trustworthy enough'. Even dressed up as Stella there was only so much she'd put up with from Merwyn, it seemed.

Merwyn laughed quite heartily to himself once he returned to the shape of a human.
