Arguing with him about being his wife was a waste of time. She knew that already.
Whatever his definition of wife was, he simply wouldn't listen to any argument about what humans thought. Including on how one got married.
Ultimately it was harmless anyway, he never demanded anything from her due to being his 'wife'. If anything, perhaps she should be annoyed because his actual concept of 'wife' was akin to 'a human in his special collection'...
But again...
He never did anything untoward. She didn't think he was the type to ever want to. He only looked human, after all.
But as for becoming her familiar...
