Chapter 36 - Thirty-Sixth

In her first few days within the tower, Emily quickly adjusted to her new environment and routine. In the morning, she would bathe and then be groomed by two of the faerie girls.

The fairy girls looked much like she'd imagine fairies to look, and were about half her size. Both seemed very happy to be helping her, smiling brightly and chatting constantly about topics ranging from fashion trends to gossip regarding other fae nobles that lived near them.

After this ritual, she was usually free to roam the tower at leisure until noon.

By midday, she would often encounter Merwyn himself, who would generally be found reading a book or playing music with his band of musicians and dancers.

The music and the dancers were both bizarre and wild in ways that were hard for her to to describe, but Emily still found them to be immensely entertaining.
